I want to run dual DVI monitors with my 8800GT wth a 26" and 22" LCD's
Today, my 26" LCD arrives. My 24" goes upstairs and the 22" LCD comes downstairs to my office. I want the 26" to be my main monitor and the 22" to be my web browsing monitor for when I'm editing photos or playing games on the 26" Things like managing my windows media player via the 22" would be nice. Nvidia has support for dual monitors in thier latest video drivers. My question is wheather I lose video processng power by running two monitors. I have have Vista 64 bit and 8GB of ram to support my system. Some suggest getting a second video card, but the 8800gt is already powerful enough for me.
What do I do and what will be the best setup for my system
Try it and see what the results are. You are going to get a perfomance hit as the VGA is now doing double duty--not sure how much--testing will tell you. What kind of budget do you have?

I also want to add that I've found the updates to logic pro 9.1.2 thru 9.1.7. and when I download them they tell me they are either not needed or don't seem to actually update anything. Someone was saying that Logic Studio isn't a fan of Lion and I should install Snow Leopard, complete Logic updates and then re-install Lion. PLEASE HELP!!!
Hi there,
You're running an old version of Safari. Before troubleshooting, try updating it to the latest version: 6.0. You can do this by clicking the Apple logo in the top left, then clicking Software update.
You can also update to the latest version of OS X, 10.8 Mountain Lion, from the Mac App Store for $19.99, which will automatically install Safari 6 as well, but this isn't essential, only reccomended.
Thanks, let me know if the update helps,

I want to run dual monitors with my hp compaq dc5800 small from e7400 @ 2.8ghz
I want to run dual monitors with my hp compaq dc5800 Small From e7400 @ 2.8ghz. Will it work and what video card do you recomend?
Yes, I see that I was in error when I posted that. Sorry.
The quickspecs for any dc5800 state that it has a:
(1) low profile PCIe x16 (SDVO/ADD2) slot.
Accordingly, the only card you can install would be this one...

Want to run dual monitors;
I want to run dual monitors; my video card if GeForce4 MX, bus is AGP; vram 32 mb; vendor nVIDIA; it is in my PCI slot #1 (I have a scuzzi card in slot 5 and nothing else).
At present I have a Dell CRT 32mb as my main display, with mirror turned off.
Now I have hooked up a Belkin ADC to DVI adaptor to the ADC output and connected it to a Sharp monitor with a DVI input.
In my system profiler it says "NVDA,Display-B", cjlick on that is says no display connected.
So—it won't run.
What is wrong with this picture?Does the new monitor work if you click "Detect Displays" in system preferences?
If it still doesn't, try connecting the Sharp monitor directly to the card's DVI output (instead of the Dell) and see if it works then. -
I have a MB Pro that is running Lion; I also have two external DVI monitors and a DVI splitter in hopes that I could run the two monitors with my MB Pro. This actually works fine, but I am unable to "extend" the desktop. Any insights?
You cannot have a extended desktop using a splitter. All that does is mirror the pair attached to the splitter.
You can do this however using a Matrox DualHead2Go.
Other solution would be to attach one monitor to your video out as you do the splitter and attach the other via USB (assuming the adapter supports the monitor's resolution).

Dual External Monitors with 15" MacBook Pro (Late 2011)
I'm looking for suggestions for using dual external monitors with new MacBook Pro's. The company I work for has started to puchase these for certain employees and we are looking for any good suggestions.
It appears that the display/thunderbolt port should be able to support many devices but I have not seen any way to hook up multiple displays. The idea is that these employees would be working with the macbook pro screen closed while in the office and use dual displays. The only option that I can find is to use a usb device to output video to a second display. I don't really like that because my experience with these devices is that they usally present a display lag and I know our graphic designers would never go for that.
One employee suggested that he use the VGA adapter and then get a VGA splitter. I'm not exacty certain that would work though. Wouldn't that just mirror the display on two screens instead of allowing an extended desktop? Also it looks like expensive Apple displays have ports so that you can daisy chain thunderbolt devices out of those monitors but this company will not go for the cost of those displays.
Am I missing anything? Any suggestions would be helpful.
Thanks!Look into the Matrox Dualhead2Go DP Edition. If it works with Thunderbolt Macs, it will support two identical 1920 x 1080 DVI monitors as one extended desktop. Verify with Matrox that it is Thunderbolt-compatible and will suit your purposes before ordering.

Hi, I like to know if there is any one have experience using a dual DVI monitor kvm switch with Mac Pro successfully. I own a 'Uniclass' 2-port dual dvi kvm, so I can share the dual monitor with another Linux box. However, it works on the Linux box, but when I tried to switch to Mac Pro, all I can see it works just in the beginning before the OS X load, that is the grey apple and small spinning circle on primary monitor, then the monitor lost the signal.
If you have successful story, can you let me know which brand of kvm you are using? Thanks in advance.

I'm using a RATOC Systems switch with mine. It supports
dual monitors but I only have one monitor so i only use it
like that. The model I have doesn't seem to be available
in the USA. Only Japan where I live. Here's a analogue
switch that they make however. Two of these would probably
work if you don't mind going throught the analogue 15pin
conversion.

I guess since that page is one of the few offerend in English
that it's available in the USA.
My RATOC KVM is dual monitor / KB / Mouse / Line-in / Line-out
for 4 PCs and cost about $150. Switchable either by a button
on the KVM Box or by a KB HotKey sequence. Mine is made
for PCs but it's working fine with the MacPro. -
How do i run an external monitor with my macbook and change settings so that when i close the lid the signal to the monitor is not lost and i can continue using the mac with a mouse and a wireless keyboard?
No, nothing will prevent the computer from going to sleep when you close its display except third-party hacks that are designed to do exactly that. I strongly advise against using any of those, as they may interfere with successful entry into clamshell mode (and they carry other downside risks as well). Just wait until the computer is asleep (with its sleep light pulsing), then press any key on the keyboard. It sounds as though your setup is working as it's designed to do.

3 DVI monitors with Thunderbolt Mac Mini
Is it possible to have 3 DVI monitors with Thunderbolt Mac Mini?
Maybe.
The first could be via a Mini Displayport to DVI adapter
The second could be via a HDMI to DVI cable
The third would have to be via a Displaylink USB adapter
It should be noted that the AMD powered Mac mini 2011 model will handle this workload better. -

i have an agreement form created in word doc. i want to hire some one experience with formscentral to recreate the form and user be able to complete the agreement, sign it electronically (using echosign) then click submit. i will be alert of new response. can someone connect me to where i can talk to someone can provide this service. i have sample of agreement form
Hi c3 cyber club,
Unfortunately FormCentral and Echosign are two different services and forms created in Forms central can only be submitted via and to Forms Central.
We cannot have the form filled in using FormCentral and get it signed using Echosign.
However, you can use Echosign directly and you can get most of the functionality.
Thanks,

I'm new here, I want to run dual monitors on my touchsmart 610 Q
I just bought a 610Q and would love to run dual screens on it
Hello 1stRangerCole:
Welcome to HP's forum: In your case I recommend you go to your local computer store and ask one ot the computer sales representatives to help out with what exact cables you need to buy. Please write down your computer make and model number and the make and model number of monitors. They will need this information to cross reference them. You will be able to tell what ports they hook up in by matching up the cable ends with ports. If you are not comfortable with it ask them to draw a diagram as to what cables go where.
Now that was the easy part this is on you now. Even I find it dificult just by reading it. Click on the windows start button on the right hand sign open up Help and Support in Help and Support search box type in PC to Monitor. Then click on Move windows between multiple monitor . Please follow these direction carefully . The reason I did not post cables that you need to purchased. I did not want you to by the wrong ones. Waste that money for nothing. Sales clerks are paid to help out costumers out. Besides if they told you to purchased a wrong cable they will take it back and exchange it with the correct cable
Not worth you trying to figure out all these technical names and terms are. Let the yong folks do it for you. That's what they get paid for by their employers. frrw.
