I want to save everything on icloud

I want to save everything on icloud?

You cannot just save everything on iCloud. It depends on the apps you use, and if these apps let you store data on iCloud. Please see also this website which shows what you can store and backup on iCloud: http://support.apple.com/kb/PH12519

It might, but you have no other option to save your data.  And the longer you wait to do it, the weaker the battery will become, lessening the chance that you can perform a successful backup.

  • I want to save everything I need for a project

I was just looking at an old project I had. I started checking some of the support media files. For example, I have 3 .aif files that I use for the sound track. I clicked on them and reveled them in Finder. To my surprise, they are in my iTunes music folders. So I created a folder in my project folder and copied each music file over. Then I found a still image I used. This time it was in my iPhone library. This was a little troubling. What if I want to move this project to another computer and then realize my project backup doesn't have these files.
Is there a rule of thumb when creating a project to always store your media local to the project before you link to them?
Also, I did the same with the clips I had and to showed them in a scratch folder. Do I need to copy these over as well? In one case I had a huge Untitled1 file in my Capture Scratch->ProjectName directory. Do I need to back this stuff up as well to preserve this project?
Obviously these are probably nube questions. I apologize if they are.

That DVD is great (I'm biased, I made it) in terms of showing you HOW footage is referenced by FCP. FCP just makes POINTERS, it doesn't move anything. Organization has to be done on the finder level. OR, if you want something to organize for you, I can't recommend this software plugin enough:
    http://www.digital-heaven.co.uk/loader
LOADER by Digital Heaven. Just drag the file you want to import onto the LOADER TABS and it will move it to the designated area of choice, and bring into the project. Watch the demo...it's pretty cool.

  • PhotoShop CC cannot open .PSB files, wants to save everything as .PSB's

Is PhotoShop CC corrupting my files? I try to save them and it keeps making them .psb file types.  When I turn right around and try to re-open the file it just created, PhotoShop gives me an error message that the .psb is not a PhotoShop file type. What's up?  I tried opening a week's worth of files so far and am getting the same message.  H E L P !!!
If I try to save them in another format, PhotoShop is changing the resolution from my very high resolution to a crappy very LOW and totally useless resolution.

The Plug-ins folders for Photoshop CC (32 and 64 bit) are here:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC\Plug-ins
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CC (64 Bit)\Plug-ins
A common way to foul up saving files is to copy old plug-ins, but if you don't remember doing that then chances are that's not the problem here.
I have a hunch that if you were to grab your screen at the time Photoshop is insisting you save your file as .PSB, save the screen grab as a JPEG, and post it here that something may be revealed that will help lead to a solution to the root cause of the problem...  Could you do that (making sure to move the Save As dialog so that we can see things like the tabs and other options in Photoshop)?

  • I do not want to save every file I download. just want to open a file and move on. I do not see an option to just open or run the download without saving.

Please give an option to just open and run a download without saving.
I have a bunch of the things saved in the download folder that I have no clue what all of it is. Please I do not want to save everything I download, I would like to just open a file move on.
    Thank you.

sorry but there is no option like this.
but if you like you can delete them manually
    for these :
1.open downloads from menu button on right or by simply pressing (Ctrl +J )
2.Then select the downloaded file you want to delete by a single click on it.
    3. You will find a folder type icon on right side of that , in which you should click.
    4. Then it will open folder where the selected file saved.
    5. Then you can delete that file .
    OK done

  • Before buying the 6 how can i save everything on my 4s?

I want to save everything on my 4s before buying the 6 --- how can I do this?

Do a backup of the 4s using iTunes on a computer then remove your account info by erasing and resetting the device to its factory state.
Connect the 6 and "restore" from the 4s backup you made in iTunes.

How do I use icloud to restore my documents that were in Pages? Pages got stuck in "waiting" to update and when nothing else worked I deleted it and reloaded Pages. Everything I can find is about wiping everything out and restoring everything. I don't want to restore everything just my Pages documents (and numbers and keynote that also locked up during updating).

What I meant is turn off Documents and Data in iCloud in OS X. Keep it on on your iOS devices. iCloud will sync documents between the iOS devices and make them available on the iCloud web site, but it won't mess up iWorks' open and save dialog boxes. It also won't assume that you want all your documents in iCloud, which I think is undesirable anyway.
Keep iOS and OS X separate, and use the web site to move files between the two as necessary.
iOS iWork is different from OS X iWork. There are fewer fonts on an iOS device. iOS iWork programs have slightly different feature sets than OS X iWork programs, and the file formats are different. iCloud automatically converts the file format when necessary, but if you make a habit of saving things directly to iCloud, you are limited to the lowest common denominator between the two versions of iWorks. So why would anyone want iWork on the Mac to open and save documents on iCloud by default?
If you want to store files in the cloud and sync them on your Macs, SugarSync is a much better solution. It lets you choose your sync folders, it doesn't make you reorganize your files, it lets you sync all file types, it doesn't convert files to a different format and back, and it stores everything in the cloud, too. Just the simle act of saving a file backs it up and syncs it. I wouldn't live without it. iCloud is best with iTunes purchases and synchronizing Mac settings and iOS files; I woudln't live without it. The two make an unbeatable combination.

The problem is that all services are bundled with your Apple ID ([email protected]):
Your iCloud account (Mail, Contacts, Calendars, Reminders, Notes, Backups, etc.),
also iTunes & App Store purchases (Music, Movies, TV Shows, etc.),
    and the iTunes Match services.
(I guess that all your devices - yours and your wife's are connected to one iTunes library, right?)
If you want that your wife gets her own iCloud account for Mail, Contacts, Calendars, etc. but gets also access to your media then you have two set up two things on her device:
iCloud (Settings > iCloud) with her account (e.g. [email protected])
    and
iTunes & App Stores (Settings > iTunes & App Stores) with your account (e.g. [email protected]).
In this case she gets access to your library and could use the same iTunes Match account.

I know this is going to sound stupid but I can't seem to set up my email as an iCloud email account. I want to eliminate my aol account and transfer everything to iCloud with an iCloud email. How do I do this.

If your Mac is running OS X 10.7.5 or higher, you first have to go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign in with your Apple ID to create your account, then check Mail.  This will automatically add an iCloud email account.
To transfer your AOL mail, you need to drag and drop them into the same folder in the iCloud account.  If you have any folders in your AOL mail, you would need to create folders by the same name in the iCloud account, then open each folder, select all the mail in the folder and drag and drop them on the folder by the same name in your iCloud account.  (To create a folder in the iCloud account, click the "+" at the bottom of your folder list, choose Create Mailbox, choose iCloud as the location and give it a name.)

  • My cousin wants to open her iPhone 5 but she can't remember her password and she didn't sync it to a computer or have an icloud account, what do i do? she doesn't want to lose everything in her phone

My cousin wants to open her phone 5s but she cannot remember her password and she doesn't want to lose everything on it. She didn't sync it to any computers or have an icloud account. What should I do?

If she cannot remember the passcode, then she has to restore the device. If she did not backup the phone before this, she will lose all of her content. The only chance would have been if she had synced to a computer, but you say she did not.

  • HT1296 How do I save everything my daughter has on her iPod touch I want to set her up with a new email address as she is using mine

How do I save everything that my daughter has on her iPod touch as I want to set up a new email address for her as she is using my email at the moment

Thank u for ur reply. I'm sorry I didn't explain myself fully this is all very new to me and my daughter it is very annoying when, u are trying to set up something and u haven't a clue what u doing.
When I set her up on the iPod I gave her my apple and iTunes account and email address so now when she wants to buy anything on her iPod she uses my password and email address.  When her friends message her they come through on my iPad because we share the same email.
What I want to do is keep my own email and apple account for my iPad but set her up with a new email address and iTunes account for her.
Will the games and music that she has bought with her iTunes card be gone on her iPod if we set her up with new account.

  • ((How do I save everything on my MacBookAir??))

    Hi,
I was on with Apple Support last night and I apparently have so much crap on my Mac (Book Air) that they did what they could with me, but want me to save everything important to me on flash drive or external hard drive before I call them back to "clean it out". I do not trust that all my photos etc. are backed up on iCloud. (I've lost a lot upgrading phones by trusting everything "was saved".)
I consider myself to be pretty technically savvy, however when it comes to saving ALL my photos, docs, videos, movies etc. from the past three years, I get a little nervous that I don't know what I am doing. (But I can follow technical direction well.)
I have a couple flash drives, but I KNOW there is not enough room on those for everything. My fiancee called to tell me that his boss just gave him an external hard drive for us to use. I am assuming that that will be enough room. Could someone help me in preparing to do this "saving" off my Mac, so I can tell Apple it's safe to clean and then to put back on just as it was?????
    Thanks so much.

Question: If I moved all I am keeping to these folders on my desktop, I can go ahead and "trash" those same files???
Not if you moved them but you can if you copy them (there should always be 1 copy of the file), and take your time,
Frankly, I would leave all the files exactly where they are, that is where they will be on the backup, and where they will go on the new or repaired drive.
Just delete everything that you don't need or want, it will make the restore faster.
