I want to save my SMS messages on my PC

I know this sounds really silly, but I have still got all the text messages from when I first met me boyfriend 4 months ago. I think they are probably taking up a lot of memory on my phone now (as the 'other' bar shows as pretty full and I cant think of anything else that is using up) and so would like to delete them from my phone. I would like to save them to my PC though and on previous phones I have owned, it was possible (not to mention easy) to do this. Does anyone know how to do this without using third party software that you have to register with and pay for?

You need 3rd party software. First back up the phone to your computer (NOT iCloud if you have updated to iOS5), then get an iPhone backup extractor program. http://bit.ly/s2dlrq

I want to save some voice messages.

I want to permanently save some voice messages from my phone. I've been looking for an answer as to how I'm going to be able to do this. I want them saved on a different media so I can erase them off my phone.
The voice messages are proof for something. Will I be able to download them to a thumb drive or even into my email somehow?

Are you using Verizon's voicemail system? If so, it will most likely cost you some money to have these messages saved.

Of course, if you are using a different voicemail service such as Google Voice or Youmail, you can simply save the MP3 file.
Another option would be to use a jack going from your phone to your computer to record the voicemail as it is playing on your handset.

Turns out Safari "forces" the french web interface by using the 'hl=fr' code in the url. for example http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=fr
Evidently that overrides local settings, even if you're logged into your Google account.
So, since I can't modify the search query url in Safari without jb'ing my phone, I'd say this one's a bust.

They should be stored locally on the phone in the Sent folder (Mail, scroll down past inboxes, select Account, see Sent folder). But that's all.
IMAP is really a better setup than POP if you are accessing from multiple places, but if IMAP isn't possible, the usual approach is to tell the phone to BCC you on all your sent mail (Settings, Mail, scroll down past the Accounts, tap ON for "always BCC myself").

Yes, but they are all crude & half backed. I.E. use the line in on your mac while holding the phone close & playing the voicemail, exporting from QT pro, etc, etc.
If it's just one voicemail, they have a free trail period. Me, I use that little gem all the time.

You can't send or receive SMS text messages on your iPad, it isn't a phone and doesn't have a cellular voice channel. There are third party apps that permit SMS text messaging.

my form is of 1 master block and 3 details to that block, now whenever i tried to exit the form a Do you want to save changes? message is displayed but whenever i delete any one of the relations the message doesn't appear..

The problem is that some of the records are marjed as dirty - If you're not actually changing anything manually and you still get the error, then check that you've not got any POST-QUERY triggers updating DB fields or the use of LOV for validation which can also mark a record as dirty.
You can of course supress / ignore the DYWTC message using EXIT_FORM(NO_VALIDATE) or similar, but you'lll probaly want to double check the cause of the record update first.

I've scoured the forums but have not yet found an answer to a seemingly obvious feature. I want to organise my SMS messages into folders, because i receive lots of texts from various clients and companies, i really want to organise them by folder. I can see the folder list which is basically just an outbox, inbox, and sim card inbox.
Is it possible to add more folders ?

How do I stop SMS messages appearing on two devices on my iTunes account?
One phone is mine, one is my wife's and we dont want messages being shared.
We do have contacts and music etc shared.

If your are recieving mixed information on your phone on multiple devices this is going to be related to iMessage.
On your phone navagate to settings > messages > send and receive.
Check the information in that section make sure it relates to your AppleID and your phone. If you share a AppleID with the individual create a new AppleID for their device and insert that information.
If the numbers don't remove turn of iMessage restart your phone and turn it back it.
If all else fails disable iMessage otherwise turning it off is the quickest fix.

Doubtful unless your carrier has an app that includes the option.
My carrier has an app that I can check current usage and past usage with a previous bill and pay the bill.

may be you are trying to modify the database item or reassigning the database item value which is not actually needed.
try to comment the reassigning database values
and give clear_form(do_commit);
most probably u will not get the message again

Could that read " . . . could not access . . ."? If so, try repairing your backups, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
If not, or if that doesn't help, see #A1 there. Use the TM Buddy widget it details to copy and post the messages here.

Hi,
The first run of Messages will ask you to enter an Apple ID to "register' with iMessages.
If you do not do this but open the App and look in Preferences > Accounts then you will see the iMessages account and the Bonjour Account which will not be activated.
Neither of these two account can be deleted. (even if not being used)
If you then press the + icon to add you will get the choices you posted.
To iMessage you need to "register" and Apple ID with the iMessages service.
As Diane then points out you can link this to your iPhone number.
This "syncs" (Displays on all devices) the various iMessages sent to either iPhone or Apple ID
You can then chose on both iPhone or Mac version how or which ID/Number is going to be used to "Start the conversations from"
I have my Mac version set to start from my Apple ID and the iPhone from it's number.
At this moment the Mac version cannot send SMS text messages to an iPhone.
This is apparently coming with iOS 8 and OS 10.10 (Yosemite)
An AIM account can send SMS Messages but only to a limited number of USA based phone users on these carriers.
(Basically you add a phone number with country code +1 as a Buddy to your List)
Mocked up number (It not really an auto responder although you do get sent back and Error message about it not being valid)
