I want to see my regular desktop computer screen on the tv screen.

I just set up my new appletv!
Airlpay is on..
i can see my music my videos and all that...but I want to see my desktop screen on the tv !
On the appletv menu there's no option to choose viewing just desktop ...only netflix photos movies etc.
How do I choose to view my desktop on the tv screen?
Again airplay is activated!
thanks

Sounds like you just want to mirror your desktop to your apple tv. AirPlay Mirroring requires a second-generation Apple TV or later, and is supported on the following Mac models: iMac (Mid 2011 or newer), Mac mini (Mid 2011 or newer), MacBook Air (Mid 2011 or newer), and MacBook Pro (Early 2011 or newer). For non-qualifying Macs you can try using Air Parrot. www.airporrot.com

hi , i want to see all my photos and other throo the icloud in the computer how i can do it ?

Well, the obvious advice is to restore your mac's backup to the new drive - I assume you've been using Time Machine.
If you haven't been backing up the mac, then ...
For photos, sync the iphone to the mac vis iTunes/USB and get the photos back into iPhone on the mac. Getting back the itunes is another problem. You can look for mac apps that read an iOS device and copy songs to the mac. But that won't get back all the other information that iTunes used to have. Again, only a backup would restore all that data. As for purchased items from the iTunes store, use the mac and connect to the store via itunes and check the purchased tab or link. There you can redownload all purchased music and other items.

I have tried everything online and my iBook g4 wont stop freezing. Safe Mode doesnt even help, it still gets stuck on the blue screen! It either gets stuck on the grey loading screen or the blue screen. Rarely I am able to boot past everything and get to my desktop but after about 30 seconds it freezes again. This laptop was passed down to me and I have no original papers or disks that came with this laptop. I am really trying to figure this out without buying a disk because if it doesnt work I wont be out $60. Someone help I have tried putting it in safe mode single mode holding c down during start up! I need more options.. Please this is the only computer I have right now! (PS: I know warranty has expired a long long time ago)

Without the disk you are limited on options. It could be an issue with the hard drive and would required the disk to run disk utility.

You did the wrong things. In the future it's a good idea to remember not to do something when you don't know what you are doing and what happens when you do it.

• My iPhone says that I don't have enough storage to update one of my apps so I went to delete stuff that I didn't need but every time I select what I want to delete my phone freezes, goes back to the home screen and doesn't delete anything.

First thing to try is to reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously ignoring the red slider should one appear until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

Bob,
Just to confirm you have a macbook air right? If so and it is mid 2011 or later running OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion or newer you can mirror it. If home sharing is on and ATV and MBA are on same id and network you should get the airplay icon near the clock on the mac and that should mirror your screen.
If you have an older mac or pc a third party app called airparrot can do it for you.

It's a problem that Apple is having with their App updating system. The best solution is to be patient, and wait for Apple to solve their systemic problem.

• I have double IDs for Itunes. How can I delete one without losing my music. Also, I want to synce my new desktop computer with my older i4s. All devices are registered to do so. However, last time I tried I almost lost all music and Itunes BARELY supp

I have double ID's for Itunes. How can I keep all my music and get rid of the ID that I do not want. It was an issue when I tried to transfer music .. I contacted Itunes and they BARELY helped me get the music back. They also would only allow me to chose one ID to replenish the music (wich was lost) to my new device. So, I chose the ID that showed more music. I am irritated that I still have 2 ID's and can't really figure out why they both have the same music. Oldest to newest purchases are shown on both id's. Also, I am afraid to sync now because they told me it was a one time deal. When docked my phone to my new computer all of the music is shown on my computer now. However not on my I phone.

I had the same problem. I solved by (I use Windows7, should be same for OSX):
1. copying the library from the older computer to the new computer, at the usual itunes media location.
2. on new computer's itunes preference (advance), uncheck the box "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library"
3. open up this folder of media copied over from old computer, just drag over to itunes library, cursor will turn into plus sign.
4. since you unchecked the box for "Copy files to iTunes media folder when adding to library", you are in effect only growring the new computer's itunes library's database. Your media files are already under the folder on the new computer.
Now when you connect iphone to this new computer and tells you it wants to erase your iphone's library in order to sync with this one, go ahead, click yes. Why is this ok now? Because you've copied all your files over to the new computer. So when you sync again, your existing files are there on the new computer.
You should export play lists on the older computer to be imported on the new computer though.

• When i open my computer I get the white screen with apple symbol and there are vertical lines all over the screen with green pixels and after a few minutes the screen gets grey and I get message to restart my computer what happens

3 years ago I bought an IMac Desktop that I am using for a lot of things but the most important for dvd montage in Imovies and Idvd.
Now today when I opened my computer I get as usual the white screen with the Apple symbol but there were all over the screen vertical lines with green pixels and after a while the screen gets grey and I get message to restart my computer using the power button or the restart button and when I do so each time the same is happening somebody can tell me what is happening and what caused this. This computer is my work and now I have no income anymore.
On the Apple support site they are asking to enter the serial number and when I do so I get message it is wrong but it is the only one I have and I buy this computer in Cairo Egypt. I am living in Hurghada in Egypt for the moment. When I call the technical support of the shop where I buy it they are telling me that it is the hard disk or ram and that I probably lost everything on it and they are asking a big amount to repair.
Can somebody advise me on this matter. Thanks in advance

You can find the serial number either in About this Mc in the Menu bar under the , or it should be on a sticker under the foot of the machine.
If you have the install discs, try booting from them, holding down the c key and then using Disk Utility to check the drive.
You can also boot into Safe mode
To start up into Safe Mode (to "Safe Boot"), do this:
1. Be sure the computer is shut down.
2. Press the power button.
3. Immediately after you hear the startup tone, press and hold the Shift key.
Tip: The Shift key should be held as soon as possible after the startup tone but not before.
4. Release the Shift key when you see the gray Apple and progress indicator (looks like a spinning gear).
During the startup in Mac OS X 10.2 through 10.3.9, you will see "Safe Boot" on the Mac OS X startup screen.
During the startup in Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you will see "Safe Boot" on the login window, which appears even if you normally log in automatically.
Please post back with results,
To leave Safe Mode in any version of Mac OS X, restart the computer normally, without holding any keys during startup.

• My desktop isn't filling the entire screen

I let my younger cousin play with sims on my computer the other day. When fully loaded, sims takes control of the screen and is full screen mode. Once she was done, I returned back to my desktop and it was minimized. I tried to go to displays to change it back to my normal resolution (1024x728) but that display is now skewed to being a square display with part of the screen black on either side. I would really appreciate it if anyone could help me with this problem because this is the first time this has happened with my computer.

Try Reset PRAM.
Some of the display settings are stored in PRAM.

• When I restart my computer instead of the gray screen that is supposed to appear before the login screen it shows a screen with a lot of letter

I upgrade my ssd for my macbook pro retina from the 256 to 480 GB but when I tunr it on or restarted the computer the gray screen that is suppost to apper dosent show insted a screen with lettler show before the login screen besides that the computer works fine.

I cannot decipher what is written on the images you have posted but they are reminiscent of what I have seen when a MBP is dealing with some totally incompatible software or perhaps in your case hardware.
How and or who installed the larger SSD and what manufacture is it. I suspect that is the problem.
Ciao.

• Since I've got a new desktop computer and installing the latest firefox update my computer doesn't sign off websites, MF has my preference above IE please help

Since installing mozilla firefox 17.01 on my new desktop it's impossible for me to close down websites, some of them close automatically after 30 minutes, others stay open. The only thing that helps is a rough closure by shutting the desktop down and restart. E-mail programms will open but I can't read them or change to the spamfilter so I can see whether there are some mails in it that should not be. The only thing to get to my e-mail is Internet Explorer and that programm is one I can't stand. So please help me patch this up.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]] to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).
*Do not click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.

• HT204053 Is there a way to only receive emails from my secondary email address on my Apple ID and not my primary. I dont want to see that one on my phone all the time.

I had only an ipod and created an apple ID to access itunes. Then I got an iphone and when setting it up I forgot my apple ID info. So I used my mom's email address to set up another ID. Now I have two and I only get her email messages on my phone. I know the sign in for both IDs but I want to change my ID associated with my iphone to the one I orginally set up for my ipod. How can I do ths?

Go to Settings>iCloud and sign out. Then sign in with the required ID.
