Apple don't do trade-ins. If you really want the iPad 2 then you are probably best off trying to sell it privately (e.g. to family, friends, locally, etc) and put the money that you get towards the iPad 2

3G and cellular are different ways of referring to the same thing, they can use the mobile networks for data. The cellular/3G models are £100 more than the wifi-only version.
The 3rd gen iPad uses a micro-sim card, the Mini iPads use smaller nano-sim cards, so you won't ba able to use the same sim card.

I just updated my original iPad 32 GB WiFi to iOS 5.1 about fifteen minutes ago. But I did it with the system restore feature in iTunes. So it wiped out everything on my iPad. But it did work. Then I restored an earlier backup and all went fine. Maybe you could try backing up your iPad and then using Restore to get it back to factory settings to see what happens.

Connect the iPod to a charging source and go to Settings>General>Reset>Erase all Content and Settings. It can take a few hours that is why it should be connected to a charging source.
Alternately you can connect the iPid to your computer. Log out of all iTunes accounts (iTunes>Store>Logout) and restore to factory settings/new iPod.

Basically, I'm wanting to sell it because I just don't need such an expensive Mac and I hardly ever use it. I bought it new in September 2012 and it's in mint condition. Since it was a model year behind, I only paid $1899.
I have the box but I'm out of town so I was just hoping to figure out what I want to do. I still have the original receipt, it has Office University (or whatever it's called) and a Magic Mouse.
Any ideas of where/how I should sell it? I usually use Craig's list but I don't think that's a great idea for this item. Also, how much do you Apple experts think I should ask? I'm addicted to my iPad 2 but it's on iOS 5 still because it's, well, you know...I like to configure my displays and icons and be able to free memory,etc. so I mainly use it. Thanks for any help! What you have is a CTO (“Configure To Order”) variant of the MD322LL/A; thus, referring to it simply as a “MD322LL/A” does not uniquely identify it. Make sure that the box, the other original accessories that came in the box, and the original receipt are included with the MacBook Pro; picky buyers (like me ) appreciate receiving all of those constituent components.
Note, however, that according to the Mavericks software license agreement, that because its installed version of Mavericks was originally downloaded from the Mac App Store, its copy of Mavericks is non-transferable; you will need to erase Mavericks and its recovery partition from the MacBook Pro’s internal disk before selling it. To get an idea of what you should ask for it, take a look at online auction sites to see what other 15-inch Late 2011 MacBook Pros are selling for. If you live in an urban area, Craigslist could be used to sell it, as long as you and the buyer can agree on acceptable payment terms; finding a willing buyer might be more difficult if you live in a rural area.

I want to update my IPad's operating system but when I tried to so, I got a message at Itunes advising all my apps would be removed? Is there a step by step guide for doing this update and retaining my apps? I am completely lost....

I want to update my 1st generation IPad which has a current OS of 4.2.1 to the latest 5.0 OS. I tried to do this through my ITunes account but got a warning that continuing would delete my apps, etc. I don't want that to happen! I have ZERO tech ability/know-how and need an idiot-proof, step by step guide to performing the update. Any help most appreciated. I haven't got a clue how to back up anything on the IPad, either.

First copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer's iTunes via File > Transfer Purchases. You should also backup the device (right-click the iPad 'device' and select 'back up'), and copy off any important documents, files, notes etc (e.g. by email, the file sharing section at the bottom of the Apps tab on your computer's iTunes, via wifi, whatever the apps that you use support) - the update process should backup and restore the content but it's best to be safe.

I was just wondering whether or not they still sell the 2nd generation ipod nanos. i live in Canada and ive been wanting a red ipod nano for ages...and my silver one is now starting to skip. i might as well get a new one seeing as my silver one has been through alot of rough times...

They have refurbs on the online store, but not the red. You might try stores in your area that sell iPods, ebay, or if you are near an Apple Store check the Black Friday sale.

Otherwise you'll need to look to a private seller for a used iPad 1. Note that the iPad 1 cannot run iOS 6, so make sure the apps you wish to run will work under iOS 5.1.1 before you buy an iPad.

From your screen name would it be safe to guess that you will be using it in Egypt? If your carrier uses is a GSM network you can do as Chris suggests.

You can't. Default Apple Apps cannot be removed. If you sign out of your Apple Id in Settings->Messages->Send & Receive->Apple ID then the iPad will have no knowledge of your Phone number.

I upgraded from a iPad 4 to an iPad Air, and in all honesty, there isn't a great difference except the weight-loss. The Air is much more comfortable to hold because of its lighter design, and the reduced bezel in someways improves the grip, as it is more ergonomically designed compared to the previous generation iPads. Performance wise, I didn't notice a great improvement but for someone going from a iPad 2 to a Air, they will notice a vast improvement. Compared to a iPad 4, applications load up a little but quicker and iOS 7 feels bore utilized and responsive. But one key feature is the 64bit architecture which hasn't really been fully taken control of by app developers, I'm sure there are developers producing an update to embrace it, but the only developer I know of who uses it is Apple. The iPad Air isn't the greatest tablet in my opinion, there are many more tablets that have more PC-like features such as USB's. But the iPad Air is a pretty good competitor because of its specs, design and reliability... Until you drop it.
