I want to set up a TC in bridge mode in a large network. Is it possible to limit define the users/Macs that can see the TC?

There are many Macs in the network, but only a few are supposed to use the TC. Is there a way to hide a TC from the other users?
We also have an Open Directory server. Those users that are allowed to use the TC are also in the OD (i.e. the users managed by the OD). Is it possible to configure the Time Capsule in a way that it requires a login via OD?

Not unless you want to try to use the option to "hide" the wireless network that the TC provides.....assuming that you are asking about wireless connections here, not Ethernet.
Users who know the name of the wireless network and wireless password will be able to connect. The others won't.
"Hidden" networks do not always work as well as you might expect, but it might be worth a a try.
You might also want to take a look at the Timed Access feature in AirPort Utility. Here, you can specify which Macs will be allowed to connect to the TC wireless network and which will not. Other Macs might be able to "see" the network, and they could even have the password, but they will not be able to connect unless you have set up a rule to allow that specific device to connect.

AirPort Utility is the application that must be used to setup and make any configuration changes to the AirPort Express. I'm not aware of an "App" for this.
If you could borrow a computer from someone there for 30 minutes or maybe use the computer in the lobby, you could download AirPort Utility and reconfigure your Express. To help with setup, use an ethernet cable from the computer to the Express to help AirPort Utility "see" the Express.

Possible problem: You designed the invoice using Numbers '09 but you are now editing it in Numbers 3. The company name and address are in a page header or footer, something Numbers 3 does not have so it deletes it from the document.
Possible solution: Return to using Numbers '09. It should still be in the Applications forlder on your computer.
Another Possible Solution: Use a text box for your company name and address.
If you are trying to use Numbers 3, you might want to see if your invoice will print correctly (with or without the company name and address)

Looks like the max. length described in the forms help only applied to actual database column. But if I am defining a non database column, what is the max. limit?
I tested it by setting to 32K (i.e.32767) and the form accepts and run ok. However, I am not sure whether there will be other side effect or not.

you can sync your iphone 5 with the old imac to get the information then usw the icloud. all your inforamtion with be saved to icloud and then you can sign in to icloud on the new imac.

I set up a new user account on my 3 year old BTO iMac running OS 10.8.5. Unfortunately, when I tried to use it, the computer thought none of my software was registered, activated, licensed, etc. With 26 GB of applications on this machine, it will be a colossal chore to re-do everything. Are they App Store apps or installs from disc/download?
Both, but App Store purchases are a clear minority, and aren't much of a problem, due to the ease of re-downloading and activating. The downloaded programs are the ones that present the problems. I have not been good about archiving serial numbers and the like, mostly because I've never had a problem like this before.
What specific apps are you having trouble with? For instance, I know that MS Office and Adobe CS5 for perfectly well for all users on my MBP.

I use an Akai usb turntable with the Audacity sw delivered with it. To monitor during recording I also use the LineIn utility (all this on a Macbook Pro with Mavericks).
It works fine, only the input volume of the usb audio port cannot be adjusted (at least I did not yet discover how to do it) and the volume of the music is lower than other music imported into iTunes from CD or iTunes store, but still acceptable.

Go ahead and set it up as new. It's just new as far as iTunes is concerned. Shouldn't result in the loss of anything.
