I want to set up my icloud into my ipod fourth generation, but i dont know how to.

I really want to download icloud to my ipod fourth generationm, but i cant. i went to apple.com to help me how to set up my icloud, but it told me to go to settings, and then general, and then software update to see if i can install the latest IOS. The thing is i dont have a tab that says software update. how do i update the latest IOS and how do i install ICloud?!

You will have to update your iPod Toudn to the latest iOS version (iOS 6) before you can use iCloud (or see the Software Update setting that article was talking about).  To do this, do the following (the first 5 are precautions prior to updating; you will update at step 6):
Update all your apps so they will work with iOS 6.
Connect your iPod Touch to your computer and open iTunes.  If it prompts you that there is an update available and asks if you want to update, decline.
Sync your iPod Touch to create a new backup and to transfer any purchases to your iTunes library.
Import your photos and videos to your computer, as explained here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4083.
Back up your contacts separately.  If you are syncing them with a supported program such as Outlook they are already backed up.  If not, download and use the app My Contacts Backup.  This will back up your contacts as an attachment to an email.  Send this email to yourself; if necessary, you can later open it on your iPod Touch and tap the attachment to re-import your contacts.
Now you can safely update by clicking on the name of your iPod Touch on the left side of iTunes, then going to the Summary tab to the right, and click on Check For Update (might just say Update).
Pay attention to the status information at the top of the iTunes screen and any prompts you see on your iPod Touch to be sure you don't disconnect it from your computer before the update is finished.  After it is done updating you can set up iCloud as described here: http://www.apple.com/icloud/setup/ios.html, starting at Step 2.
