I had put an iTunes gift card in my first iTunes account, but I had forgotten my security questions. I'm wondering if there's a way to transfer the money over to my second account?

Skype does not have any means to pay for a single product via multiple sources. Think about these strategies as a work-arounds:
Add enough credit to cover the cost of the subscription you wish to purchase.
When you purchase the subscription, designate the payment method as credit.
Remember to change the payment method to something else shortly thereafter so your subscription renews automatically, unless you do not wish to do it this way.
Or,
Purchase the subscription using credit, but in smaller time increments until your credit balance is reduced as far as possible, and then change the payment method to something else.

System doesn't want to switch off(arch+notebook)

I just have installed the system. I have installed only base packages from new core image. System works good but doesn't want to switch off. After using shitdown -h now or poweroff or halt all as usally but after appearance inscription Power off nothing is going on.
If I nothing to do in the system then it swithes off good. But when I am mounting disks for example then the same problem. If I am mounting disk then unmounting all is good. With mounted disks which I didn't touch during installing system very rare swith off correctly but without them always all is good. It seems strange for me... what relationship between mounting and switching off...maybe it's just coincidence..I don't now.
Maybe something wrong with acpi? While only base-packeges are in the system. Maybe it needs other packages for notebook?
What do you think? And by the way, excuse my english)

I just have reinstalled the system but in this time I have mounted disks during installing. The same situation but now system switch off never even if I unmounting disks before.
It hungs up in the last moment after all operation. After inscription Power Off in the terminal nothing to do and system hangs up.
By the way, before i used Ubuntu on this notebook and switching off was working correctly exept for stand by and hibernate

I wanna know what makes a Mac so much better than a PC. I wanted to switch a long time ago, but Mac's are just so **** expensive! is it worth the money? i need some advice ASAP!

Hi, I have just switched from a PC to a Mac, and am really enjoying the experience. I have always wanted a mac, and have finally been able to afford one (kinda ). It depends on what you want to do with it, if its worth the money or not, and if you are willing to spend that bit extra to try something that you may not get on with (I have not had this problem). I have had Windows 7 installed through bootcamp on my mac, as there is the occasional program that i had a licence for on windows and not for mac e.g. Cubase 5, and i couldn't warrant spending the extra money on another licence when i had one for windows , and had a mate willing to put windows on my machine. However i hardly use the windows partition on my mac, as nearly all of the programs i need are on mac anyways.

I have beeb using Explorer on my laptop that came with Vista home premiun. (unfortunately). Explorer keeps crashing. i want to switch my browser to Firefox, but when I try I keep getting something called "Imesh" that appears to be posing as Firefox.

From what I understand Imesh is P2P software used to download various things. (Like Limewire.) I would just uninstall Imesh. My favorite utility to uninstall stuff is ccleaner, it makes uninstalls quick and painless. You can download it at http://www.piriform.com/ they make great free ware.
Now that the Imesh is removed do you have Firefox installed? When you install Firefox it will ask you if you want to use it as the default browser.
I hope this helps, if you wish to continuing various downloads with out the typical "P2P" silly stuff check in to torrents.

I'm 100% with you on the PC>Mac switch.
I'm VERY happy I got my 24" iMac. (Just got it Oct. 30th.)
Yeah, it was 2 grand; yeah, I coulda paid a lot less on a powerful PC, but it would not have been as complete and satisfying of an experience as getting an iMac.
I laughed, I actually laughed when I got the iMac home, took it out of the box and found ONE cord to plug in! The power cord. I gleefully plugged that baby in. I was so used to connecting this to that to the other thing... with all the PC's I've built.
I use Logic Pro now as my main app - making music. It is SO rock solid. I can't tell you have many issues I've had on a PC - compatibility issues, playback glitches and hiccups, etc. I still have this leftover anxious habit of saving my work at every turn for fear the app will crash and I'll lose all my editing. Running Logic on this iMac is slowly rebuilding my feeling of confidence in making my music on a computer.
For me, just like you, I can say about my Mac conversion 'Everything has worked as designed.'

I can't seem to find an app that costs my available balance. iTunes said I need to spend it ALL before I can change stores. This means I cannot totally change stores.... Hopeless.

You might just have to contact Apple and ask them to remove it (losing it). Usually people clear a balance by buying one song and having the exact remainder charged to their credit card, but if you don't have a US credit card you cannot do that.

Solved the problem. I had to allow cookies for safari and it run - as here: Re: itunes keeps asking for my apple id password. it's NOT entered incorrectly.

I want to switch my Father to a Mac Mini this Christmas, but It's going to take some work. First, he does not use his pc for much. Microsoft Office (98 version), Quicken (2001 version), Outlookexpress, and Internet. OH and his favorite game the internet checkers thing. I want to try to get all I need under a thousand bucks.
I am sure a lot of things will change after leopard but lets talk what we know about.
Mac Mini with upgrade ram to a gig.
upgrade hd to 80 gigs. (He has been wanting to put his music on his computer)
He has a 4:3 monitor flat panel (i like widescreen but I only got 1000 here) and mouse and I have a wireless apple keyboard already for him.
Do I get Apple care? It is a nice chunk of my 1000 allowance.
Can he buy it on his own after wards?
I have to buy him office because he feels that he could never leave Pcs because of Office ( I use neo office) but I'm sure he would not be happy with that.
Hopefully by then Office for mac 08 will be out for 150 bucks. When do you think it will be out?
He use quicken manage his checking accounts. I have never used Quicken before can you export your data?
I heard quicken ***** for mac. I don't believe he uses it for all its features but I would think it would be easier for him to accept quickin then some other third party. Soley based on the name.

Change your old Apple ID using this link:

Click the blue Manage your Apple ID button.
Its password is unrelated to the password you use for the email associated with it.
If you don't remember the Apple ID password, click the Reset your password link.

You cannot change your Apple ID to another one that is already in use - in this case, the one you created for your iPnone and iPad. Decide which Apple ID you want to keep. If you need to change it, change it - don't create a new one.
