I want to transfer a movie I have bought in itunes to my new IPAD. I have been trying to work how to do this for 3 days now. I have accessed all the itunes help and forums and wiki online. They all tell me to go to the DEVICES tab on itunes and select IPAD then sync. YUP seem simple, BUT there is not DEVICES tab listed on my itunes and it does not list IPAD. Years ago I set up my IPOD no problem and that is listed, but not the new IPAD. Can anyone help? I would love to be able to actually watch films on my IPAD!! thanks

If you have iTunes 11 on your computer then you can enable the left-hand sidebar on it via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC - when connected (and if your computer's iTunes is up-to-date) your iPad should then appear on that sidebar under a 'Devices' heading :
If you select the iPad on that sidebar you can then use the Movies tab on the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select and sync that film to your iPad's Videos app.

It does take some time for a movie to download, could it still be downloading ? Also the rental tab is only there when you have rented a movie. If all else fails talk to iTunes support, they have helped me in the past.

Check the available languages available for the Movie BEFORE purchase and not after.

I have seen a lot of cases like your issue, and it's easy to solve.
First, open Disk Utility, select Macintosh HD in the sidebar and repair permissions. Sometimes, a permission can be damaged and it makes that an application doesn't work properly.
If that doesn't work, open Finder, select Go menu > Go to Folder, type ~/Library/Prefereces, delete "com.apple.desktop.plist" and "com.apple.systempreferences.plist" and restart

I'm trying to restore my sons 5th generation ipod. When I try to do so it tells me find my ipod is turned on and he must shut it off in order to restore. But there is one big problem. He does not know his apple id or icloud password.

Like the title says. When I turn it on it goes to setup. Then I select my country, then ask me to connect to wifi or to a computer. Then after a screen appears with a title " Activate iPod" then below it says exactly "This ipod is currently linked to an apple id (the apple id) Sign in with the apple id that was used to set up this ipod" Then below that is says message from the owner saying "we have permission to call the police" What can I do to get it back to normal. My son does not remember any usernames or passwords as he probably entered them in at random when first setting it up. Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks! You have to enter the Apple ID and password. You are running into the Activation Lock

Why is there nothing in the advanced tab of the options? I click on the tab for advanced but there is nothing there.

Basically I need to go on the advanced options so I can disable the smoooth scrolling, because I don't like it, but whenever I go to tools/options/advanced it is just blank. On every other tab, like general, there are options but on advanced there is nothing. Help?

Try to start Firefox in [[Safe mode|Safe mode]]. This mode disables all extensions, user customizations, hardware acceleration, etc. temporarily for diagnostic and troubleshooting. If Firefox works fine in Safe Mode, then this is likely an add-on issue. Restart Firefox in normal mode, then type "About:addons" (without the quotes) in the address bar. Disable your extensions one by one, restarting Firefox between each one, until you find the trouble maker. Once you do, you can disable that add-on and report the issue to that add-on's developer.
A few other basic trouble shooting things you can try is this:
Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.
Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers].
