I want to transfer pictures from my ipod to my imac

I can't transfer pictures from my ipod touch to my imac

If the photos were taken by the iPod, were saved attachments or screen shots, go here:
Copying personal photos and videos from iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your computer
If they were synced from another computer you will need a third-party program like TouchCopy.

Are these pictures on your iPod no longer stored on your PC or in a backup somewhere?  If so, you'll need the help of third party software to assist you with the task of extracting the photos from your iPod to your PC.  Keep in mind that these synced photos are no longer in their full resolution, but instead are scaled down thumbnails of the original.
If you stored these photos in full resolution, see this article for instructions on copying them from your iPod back to your PC.

Then you can't transfer them to your computer. Use disk mode and use your IPOD as a portable hard drive if you want to do this in the future. Here's how:

My ipod is about 8 years. Want to transfer music fron old ipod to new one. Can that be done ?

    Hello try again
All your media should be in iTunes so you can sync using iTunes to get the music over. If you have any purchases from the iTunes Store you may transfer them to your iTunes library.

  • I want to transfer music from my ipod to a new computer can I do this?

can I transfer music from my ipod touch to a new computer?

Sort of... but the best bet is to transfer/copy your entire iTunes media folder from your old computer to your new computer.  Otherwise you may not get all your media copied.
iDevices are not backups, they are simply mirrors of what exists in your iTunes library.

I just converted from an ipod touch to an iphone.  how do I save my pictures from my ipod touch?

Photos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera. If you use iPhoto for importing photos from any other digital camera and for photo storage and management on your Mac, you can use iPhoto for this.

  • Transfer music from old iPod to new iMac

Have a 30G iPod that was synced with old computer that crashed. Bought new iMac and want to transfer music from iPod to new iMac. Tech Support not able to help. Any LEGAL ideas?

With a nod to veteran poster Zevoneer...here's what you should know.
The transfer of content is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod, but there are third-party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod. Some will transfer movies, videos, photos and games as well. Check out the web pages for more info. This is just a sample of what's available.

There is also a manual method of accessing the iPod's hard drive and copying songs back to iTunes on Windows or a Mac. That process is detailed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1329?viewlocale=en_US

  • I have a new iPhone. I want to transfer Notes from an iPod Touch 3 to my iPhone using iCloud but I can't get anywhere. Help.

I have a new iPhone and I want to transfer my Notes from an iPod Touch 3. I've tried using iCloud but can't get anywhere. Help.

Since you have purchased a new Mac (which, BTW, is not typed in all capitals) why not buy a Time Capsule <http://www.apple.com/airport-time-capsule/> which is designed specifically to work with OS X and Time Machine?
You don't say what part of your Sony "crashed." If it was not the HDD it is possible to take the computer apart, put the HDD in an external case, then recover the data off of it (including the music) simply drag-n-drop. If it was the HDD that "crashed" that makes it more difficult.
If you are able to recover the music from the Sony you can then add it to the iTunes library on the Mac and iTunes Match will then scan, match and upload the tracks to be mirrored in the cloud.

  • Want to transfer everything from my IPod back to my computer

I crashed my computer and everything got deleted. I want to be able to transfer some things from my IPod back on my computer so that I can sync my IPod safely. I was using Senuti which was working fine until I had to put things that was already transfered onto my computer once and was deleted. Now that it has been transfer it doesn't seem to want to transfer those items again. Is there another way. Also, I transfered my purchases back on my computer once and now I can't do that again either.

There's a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
If you are having problems with Senuti there are many other third party utilities that you can use to retrieve music files and playlists from your iPod. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:
Wired News - Rescue Your Stranded Tunes
    Comparison of iPod managers
I would also advise that you get yourself an external hard drive and back your stuff up, relying on an iPod as your sole backup is not a good idea and external drives are comparatively inexpensive these days, you can get loads of storage for a reasonable outlay: Back up your iTunes library by copying to an external hard drive
