The "long" answer is that since Photoshop CS5 uses an older version of Camera Raw it will be necessary for Lightroom to generate a file that contains all of the Lightroom adjustments, and send that file (PSD or TIF) to Photoshop. That is standard procedure for anyone not using an Adobe product for their external editor. And it will work just fine. After you make changes in Photoshop it is necessary for Lightroom to create that new file anyway. So, yes, it will work. When you first try to open an image in Photoshop it will warn you that Lightroom requires a newer Camera Raw. Just choose the option that creates a copy and you will be fine.

Nothing. The 2nd Gen Touch is OBSOLETE and is WAY past its support life. If you want to run the newer apps you have to buy a newer iPod.

Any device that Palm manufaturers currently should be able to get the data from the older device.
Although Palm doesn't make handhelds anymore you can get a smartphone and transfer the data over to it without issue.
If you go to the new WebOS you can transfer the data over it just might take a little work.

That means that any videos you shoot will have to be imported into iPhoto and then moved to iMovie.

My windows 8 pc used to operate lightroom fine as well as PE12 but now won't do either. We fixed the error on the computer or at least we think we have and I want to try to uninstall and re install the programs and see if that fixes our issues.... but I cant find where/how to re download my already purchased product.....

You can uninstall Lightroom using the Win procedures in the Control Panel. You need to deactivate PE12 from the help menu of the product before you uninstall. You will also need the license key to activate when you have done the installation. Download link below.

No, just install the creative cloud application on the new machine and log on using your adobe account and you should be able to install direct from there without uninstalling from your previous machine. You can have it installed on multiple machines, you just can't simultaneously use it on more than one machine, which is why it makes you log on to the creative cloud.

I want to try to boot up a Powerbook G4 externally with my MacBook Pro.

My wife has a PowerBook G4 that has had a hard drive failure according to the Apple people. Her computer won't boot, it just turns on and the little color wheel spins forever. I want to try to recover some data from her computer. I could try loading OS X onto an external hard drive and try to boot her computer that way or I could try to connect my MacBook Pro to her computer and try to use it to boot up her computer. Is either method preferable (or more dangerous) than the other? If either method is possible, do I need to connect them via Firewire or will USB2 be ok? How do I make her computer recognize the external drive as the system disc? A lot of questions, I know, but she starts back at work tomorrow and really needs her computer. Thanks so much.

One thing you can't do is use the MacBook Pro's operating system to boot the Powerbook or vice versa. An external Firewire hard drive with an operating system that the Powerbook supports will allow you to boot the Mac, and recover data to a separate partition if data is restorable. As others indicated, Target Disk Mode will allow you to see the other computer's data, if the drive is at all functional. Data recovery tools for this include Prosoft Data Rescue, Subrosasoft Filesalvage, and Boomerang's Boomerang. The partition solution goes as follows:
1. Partition (link explains how), the external Firewire hard drive for a large enough partition to install the supported operating system on, and a second partition large enough to recover the data to from the original hard drive.
2. Install the operating system and data recovery application on the 1st partition.
3. Recover the data to the second partition.
Optionally, you can use the entire external hard drive, and boot off the data recover program's CD using the startup manager
If using the MacBook Pro to see the machine:
1. Backup its data first*.
2. Partition its hard drive if it has enough room to handle both your recovered data, and your existing MacBook Pro's data. Note the limitations on disk space for Macs*.
3. Recover the data to the MacBook Pro from the backup.
4. Use one of the above data recovery tools to recover to the second MacBook Pro partition and target disk mode.
Third alternative, if none of the above works, and your data is worth several thousand dollars or more, check Drivesavers. They are the one company that may be able to recover data that Apple can't, and can do things the above recovery tools can't either.

Photoshop CC and Audition CC is not compatible with the high resolution and small screen that my computer have.

Hello everyone. Recently I bought the New Razer Blade (2014). It has a high resolution of 3200 x 1800 and a screen size of 14 inch. It is that I downloaded the Photoshop CC that I realize that the words are so small it is actually causing a problem for the users. I searched online for helps and learned that the only way to change this is to wait for the developers of the Photoshop CC to make and update to make it compatible. The source of this idea is from a guy have the same computer and the same problem. He updated his Lightroom and the interface ungraded into one that he can use with ease and he hopes that the Adobe company will update Photoshop CC also and fix the resolution problem too. I thought that after another update, Photoshop CC will have it visual update too. However, the last update from a few days ago didn't solve this problem. I wonder if The Adobe company knows about this problem and that's the main reason I'm starting a discussion on this topic. The same goes to the Audition CC and the Premiere Pro CC. These 3 are the most important tools for my and this computer is the only good one that I can have right now. I have tried lowering my resolution but everything else became difficult to use. If I'm using the Photoshop CC, I of course wouldn't want to use a resolution that is too low to edit my pictures.
This is my problem and I wish someone can do something about the visual updates of Photoshop, Audition, and Premiere Pro so that they are compatible with the New Razer Blade (2014) 14 inch screen. Just like Lightroom.
