I want to turn of restrictions on Apple TV - but i cant remember my 4 digit passcode

I am using apple TV but i want to change the restrictions - but everytime i try and turn them off it asks for a passcode - which i really can't remember

think only way is to connect it by microUSB cable to your computer and use itunes to restore it to factory settings

Settings > iTunes and App Store > Apple ID = Sign Out... Then Sign In using the preferred Apple ID.
It should be Noted that anything Downloaded with a Particular Apple ID is tied to that Apple ID and Cannot be Merged or Transferred to a Different Apple ID

What happens if you try a hard reset? To do this, press and hold both the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear.
If its still stuck at the Apple logo, try connecting it to your iTunes library in recovery mode and restoring it.

I would be concerned too if I was not able to gain access to my iPad. If you are unsure what your Apple ID is, you can find the steps in this article:

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If the issue is simply a forgotten passcode, then you should be able to restore to remove it, as outlined in the following article:
