Have you tried to go into bluetooth and telling it to forget your keyboard?
Drastic but might enable you to repair the devices and see if it clears up the glitch.

You can open the Phone app then tap Recents then the blue 'i" in a blue circle at the right of the number then "Create New Contact" then tap a field such as "First" name and the keyboard should appear.

Keyboard issue - types different than what keyboards shows

Hi,
before my keyboard settings were Spanish (Dutch), since today these settings are just Spanish ... resulting in some keys giving a different outcome than what it shows on the keyboard.
For example when I want to type \ by using the ALT + 1st button on 2nd row I keep on getting { ... and this applies to a lot of other signs/symbols as well.
I tried to change it through language settings but not to my surprise Spanish (Dutch) is nowhere to be found there.
What does this Spanish (Dutch) actually mean ... and more important how can I get it back?
I´m sure this is very easy to sort out ... I just don't seem to find the solution.
Can anyone help?

Your keyboard layout is determined by what box is checked in system preferences/language & text/input sources. Go there and make sure that only the layout you want has its box checked.
There is no keyboard layout called Spanish (Dutch). Try Spanish ISO or Dutch and see if that is what you are used to. If not, please provide some additional examples of particular key combinations you want and we will try to determine which layout you should check.

You can't get it on your keyboard, but there's an easy way to insert it,
1) If you haven't done this already go to "System Preferences" , then "Languages and text" , and then the tab "Input Sources".
2) check on the "Keyboard & Character Viewer" in the list and also check on the "Show Input menu in menu bar" (right lower corner)
3) when you want to type the ‰ or any other less common character, press the icon to the left side of your clock (that appeared when did step 2) and then "show character viewer". In the list "Punctuation" you'll find the ‰ character, just double click on it and there you go.

I do not want to type "£", i want to type "#". Shift+3 = "£" option+3 changes me to desktop 3 insead of typing a "#". When i show the keyboard viewer and hold option it shows that by typing 3 i will type a "#", but i do not, instead i am taken to desktop 3. My password for this site will only work a short WHILE, AND THEN it will not be recognized by the site and I cannot get in.
Then I must contact the company to reset or clear it manually on their end so it can be reset. They always give me the SAME SETUP PASSWORD to use. I use it, then I RESET PASSWORD on my end. The computer seems to remember my user NAME AT least on my computer as it comes up once I start typing the username in. They SAY IT is a settings issue on my end. I do not have this problem on any other site even THOSE WITH higher SECURITY. I need to FIX the issue OR may LOSE ACCESS To the site as is very aggravating for them and they say other have had the problem but usually with chrome but never constantly.I am not that computer literate ,but my husband is an IT Security professor and textbook writer but says doesn't really know Firefox. I do not really want to store passwords on computer as have been hacked several times. He and I do not understand some of the terms mentioned. since it is not a problem with other sites it should be fixable. I'm having a little trouble understanding the part about your password having to be reset. Why is that happening??
Let's start with Firefox's settings:
(1) You can configure the password manager feature on this tab:
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Options > Security
There is a checkbox to enable/disable the feature.
There also is a "Saved Passwords" button to review and remove any passwords you do not want Firefox to keep.
That tab also has a feature to set a Master Password so that no one can use your saved passwords without knowing the Master Password. You may need to exit Firefox in order for Firefox to ask for that again.

(2) Site-specific permissions
If you want to use the password manager for other sites but NOT a particular site, you can configure that in the Permissions Manager.

Sync your old address book with the one on the iPod. You may have to import them into an intermediate address book like Google contacts since that can be done by importing a file you should be able to export for your address book. Without know your old address book that is all I can say.

You can use Text Edit.
Then from the Text Edit menu bar click File / Print.

Try this - Reset the iPad by holding down on the Sleep and Home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons. I am not being critical, but you seem to want Safari to behave exactly like Chrome. Every software developer has a plan. Sometimes features in one product parallel other products - sometime not. There might be some things available that would help you. Do not hold your breath, however, for suggestions from people who use these forums. Most of us use (and like) Apple products. If you wish to make suggestions for future improvements, there is a feedback area on this web site that Apple employees read/review.
Candidly, your approach would be akin to suggesting that Apple emulate the "features" in Windows (heaven forbid).
I use Safari (and have for years). I use Firefox (not a bad product) as my alternate browser.
Sorry for what appears to be a pedantic lecture. However, I think most of us adapt to different products if we really want to use them.

On the introductory window, also make sure you pick from the top choices under Word Processing - I just use "Blank". If you choose the Blank under the sedon set (page layout), you will have to get a text box. I use that setting if I have a lot of images I want to insert and then have text around/near the images.

When you're done with that page, it should automatically move to the next one or you can choose another blank page in the pulldown in the toolbar.

Forms supports NLS_LANG=UTF8, so you could create Unicode application and there should not be problems with any symbols.
Unfortunately, if you already have an application, there may be some parts of the code that may work with NLS_LANG=UTF8 incorectly, so you will have to rewrite them. For instance: system calls (DDE, OLE2, TEXT_IO package, HOST build-in), C code (ORA_FFI package, User Exits) etc...
