I want to update to firefox 4. i have tried to download this pursuant to the prompts. However, it has not actually downloaded as far as we can tell since we keep getting prompts to download the new version. HELP

Next, download directly from this page:

After downloading, view the Downloads Manager (if it doesn't open automatically, press Ctrl+j or use Tools > Downloads). Right-click the latest entry and choose Open Containing Folder. When that opens, double-click the installer file to install Firefox 4.

In theory, Lightroom 5 will recognize your existing LR 2.7 catalog and upgrade it to LR 5 for you to use. All you have to do is click OK or Yes or whatever when it asks you if you want to upgrade your catalog.
If it doesn't find your LR 2.7 catalog, then in LR 5 use File->Open and point it to your LR 2.7 catalog

I tried to download a new version that Itunes was suggesting to, and this new Ituned sincronized my Iphone directly. Now I can't swith on my phone and a message stating that my SIM card is not compatible is appearing. How should I do to use my phone again?

The show duplicates/show exact duplicates features have been left out of iTunes 11. Rumor suggests they will be restored in the next build. In the meantime I have written two Windows scripts to make playlists of Duplicates and Exact Duplicates, either from a selection of tracks or the entire library.
If you want to manually remove duplicate tracks use shift-delete to remove selected tracks from the library as well as the playlist. Keep one of each repeated group of files and don't send to the recycle bin unless you are sure that there are multiple files on the disc as opposed to multiple entries to the same file.
There is also my DeDuper script if you don't want to do it by hand. This can preserve ratings, play counts, playlist membership, etc. which are lost in a manual clean up. Please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping. See this thread for background on deduping and the script.

iCloud can be used in two ways.
The first is a central storage location for documents and data used by apps/applications, that enabled you to open that app/application on any device and see and work with your documents regardless of which device you are working on. A simple example would be to start a pages document on your Mac and then complete it on your iPad, without any copying, moving, uploading, searching through filing systems to make this happen.
The second use is for back ups of your mobile device, which can be used to restore those devices should the need rise for whatever reason.
The concept is all quite simple really, although it can become a little more difficult to understand where things might be going wrong if you find yourself in such a situation.

After clicking on the update and download, I didn't notice the name of the webpage until it kept happening. Now I'm concerned it wasn't actually firefox and I've downloaded something I shouldn't have. This has not...so far....affected my actual firefox browser....I just don't see anywhere else on the mozilla/firefox website to find out.

As for you - after downloading the file, did you actually run it? If you downloaded the file, but then did not RUN the file, you are probably safe - generally, just downloading an infected file doesn't hurt your computer - it is usually required that you run it before it can hurt you. Just delete the downloaded file, and then I wouldn't worry too much about it, if you didn't run it.
If you did run it, you might want to think about formatting your PC's main hard drive, and then doing a clean re-install of the O.S. and applications.

You are mispelling the url address. Specifically it is not "htt" it should be "http" then the remainder of the address.

If you did not make a backup of the old version of the app before you deleted it, there's no way you can get it back now. The current version should still work on your iPhone 3GS, though. You just need iOS 4.3 or later, so if your iPhone still has an older version, update to the latest iOS.
If, however, you really have an iPhone 3G, not a 3GS, then unless again you make a backup copy of the old version of the app, there's nothing you can do until you're ready to get a newer iPhone since iOS 4.2.1 is the final version your iPhone 3G will run.

Those changes should last through all of Firefox 5.0 and Firefox 6.0 at the very least.

I only use Firefox and it constantly pops up that I need to download the newer version. When I click on yes, it just sits, even for hours, with the green bar, nothing happening.
