I want to upgrade my storage on my macbook air, how do i do it?

so i have a 2012 11-inch macbook air. It only has 128 gb storage buts says it can be configured to 256 GB. But it says only on the apple online store but i can't seem to find it. Please help!! Just got for university and its already full!

The Seagate Momentus XT 750GB is a nice drive that is faster than your standard 7200RPM and might be large enough for your needs.
Invest about $200 and do the Seagate Momentus Drive and RAM upgrade. That will give you a nice performance boost.
The RAM you need would be 4GB 1066MHz DDR3 204 PIN SODIMM - you'll need two them to get 8GB.

The Photos app doesn't currently support subfolders, it only has the one level of folder/album. You will either need to change your folder structure on your computer to be just one level, see if there is a third-party photo app in the store that copes with subfolders, or just make do. I think not. You will need to order a disc from Apple quoting your serial number, as many of these discs are machine specific. So unless you can get your drive working I think you will have to take a trip to an Apple store.
Indeed, you have an old computer that may not be worth the cost of repair ... but it is still worth seeking Apple advice and a visual inspection. It just might be something not too drastic.

Do you get this error message only when you try to print from PowerPoint?
When you click on Print, a new window opens. That includes a button to click for Printer Settings.

Since iPLM failed to help try the following:
Starting over from scratch with new library
Start over with a new library and import the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from your original library as follows:
1. Open the library package like this.
2. Launch iPhoto with the Option key held down and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
3. Drag the subfolders of the Originals (iPhoto 09 and earlier) or the Masters (iPhoto 11) folder from the open iPhoto Library package into the open iPhoto window a few at a time.
This will create a new library with the same Events (but not necessarily the same Event names) as the original library but will not keep the metadata, albums, books slideshows and other projects.
Note: your current library will be left untouched for further attempts at a fix if so desired.
