i have one apple tv and i would like to add a second. I want to be able to stream music or video on both at the same time using the iphone. I also am curious to if you can rename one of them so i can distinguish which one i am using.

I don't think you'll be able to use two destinations for video at once from an iPhone.

You can use 2 Apple TVs on the same network independently. I currently have such a setup.
My question then comes up: How do you isolate AirPlay menus (or "forget" the other Apple TV) so that you don't inadvertently start streaming something to the other Apple TV instead of to the one you want, or vice versa, seeing a random YouTube or photo stream in the middle of your movie.
Basically, I live on a different floor with someone on the same wifi network as me. We can't have separate wi-fi networks. We can see each other's Apple TV in the AirPlay menu and it's causing all sorts of problems with accidental interruptions.

Also, when I tried to change iMessage I got a message that if I deleted my id (which seemed to be the only way to get my husband's I'd there), I would not be able to receive iMessages on any device.

I would just follow the instructions from this article to give your unused 4s to your spouse. Since you have already started using your 5s, you will still be receiving iMessages on that phone and will have no need to receive them on a device that has been replaced. On the iPad open Settings/iCloud and delete the account using the button at the bottom. Once deleted log in using the other account. For iTunes Stores use Settings/iTunes & Apps Stores, tapp on the Apple ID at the top then sign out. Once done sign in using the other account. Once you are happy with the changes plug your iPad into your computer to update the backup.

Rather than hooking directly from the FIOS box (as others have suggested), I want to know if hooking up to a stand-alone actiontec Verizon Coax Network adapter will let me use my AE. I don't need all the TV features stuff from Verizon because I am using Tivo.
Another method I've seen on the net is to set Actiontec router to be pass through instead of primary but unfortunately I can't get it to work correctly. My option at this point is to purchase the Coax network adapter.

You can not use the Actiontec ECB2500 for MOCA WAN. Only units certified for channel C4 will work for MOCA WAN

Turn off My PhotoStream in iCloud on both the iPad and the Mac. PhotoStream is what shares your photos (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library Beta, in which case, all photos uploaded are accessible from all devices signed onto the same Apple/iCloud ID).

I am glad that bbqdevil's *workaround* will "do the trick"
Did you give the Timer idea a try yet? It seems to me that you are really needing to know when a certain amount of time has elapsed rather than *time how long you have being taking a reading*. Will you always have your hand free to tap the Watch? If so, why would you need the StopWatch going? - just look again at the sweep second hand on the clock.
It still remains that one should be able to set the time elapsed before sleep on a Chronograph w/ sweep second WatchFace though. I have searched and searched, to no avail.
I would suggest Siri, but it seems like many issues with Siri are ongoing and might just add another problem to the mix.
If I were you, I would Call Apple Support. It is sometimes tricky to get that option in the "breadcrumb" process Apple has instituted, but I was able to test the process before suggesting this:

I am a healthcare provider. I need to use my Watch to assist me in taking vital signs. On a normal watch, I would start counting pulses or respirations at a 15 second interval on the Analog Chronograph sweep second hand > stop counting at the next 15 sec. interval > multiply X 4 to get rate/minute.
The Watch goes to sleep after SEVEN (7) seconds !! Therefore I cannot see when 15 seconds has elapsed. I use both hands regularly in the procedure, so touching the Watch is not an option - or 'raise the Watch' to my viewing position.
I, and others in the ASC forum have searched for a Setting for the before sleep duration in vain.

As far as I'm aware iTunes always charges the account balance first and when this expires charges any remaining amount to your credit/debit card. The one exception I am aware of (though there could be others) is that Apps purchased from the Canadian store must always be charged to a card rather than a gift card voucher balance due to local legislation.
