I want to use larger fonts in toolbars.

How do I get Firefox to use larger fonts in the toolbars? I don't need larger icons but I have trouble seeing the text in the toolbars. I don't want to reset to a lower resolution. Thanks.

I also need larger text in tabs.

  • Why does firefox want to use different fonts on mounted hard drives

On Mac OS 10.6.5 using Firefox 3.6.12 upon opening Firefox, I get a dialog box that says "Firefox want to use the font "TremorlTC TT" on the volume "USB BU".
This happens for both of my external hard drives. It gives me the options: Show in Finder Don't Allow or Allow. I have tried all 3 and neither solves the problem.

Move all User fonts in Font Book to Computer fonts:
    # Launch Font Book (/Applications/Utilities/)
    # Open Font Book > Preferences
    # Deselect: "Automatic Font Activation"
    # Set the "Default Install Location" for fonts to Computer
    # Select all User fonts.
    # Move the selected User fonts to Computer fonts
    # Remove all duplicate fonts in Computer fonts

  • How to stop automatic pop-up window "Firefox wants to use the font "Stone Sans Sem OS ITC TT Semi"?

Everytime I open Firefox I get the irritating pop-up window "Firefox wants to use the Font "Stone Sans Sem OS ITC TT Semi" on the volume, the font is not installed. I installed the font, but I still get it.
The window gives me options "Do not ask again" "Show in Finder" "Don't Allow" "Allow".
I click "Do not ask me again" and "Allow" but I keep getting this every time. How to stop it?! Thanks.

    Hi Peter
Actually, Captivate does have an essentially unlimited number
of undo levels. But that number may appear to be different. The
number of levels starts when you begin editing the project. If you
close and re-open a project, that starts the undo process over.
I've tested and I gave up after about 280 or so undos.
Where Captivate doesn't allow an undo, it normally warns you
with a rather catastrophic looking dialog.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Why do I keep getting a message saying: "Firefox.app wants to use the font "Bodonti SvtyTwo ITC TT Book" on the volume "Backup" ?

    Underneath this alert it says:
"This font is not installed. Allow Firefox.app to use this font?"
How can it use this font when it is not installed?
Why does it have to keep asking me no matter how many times I push Allow or Don't Allow?

You're welcome and thanks for confirming that the instructions worked.

  • IM names cut off when using larger font

I switched my IM windows to use a 12pt font instead of the default 10pt font. Now it cuts off the bottom half of all that names. But hey, at least I'm still wasting 50% of my screen real estate on whitespace and bubbles!

  • Using Larger Fonts For Simple Sign

I am creating a sign.  Using Photoshop CS2 I was
very surprised when I tried to create a large character
of font size 1500.  Error message noted the maximum was
    something like 1296.
I did not think there was a limit.
How do people make huge signs with LARGE letters?
    (a beginner)
    Daniel :-)

Say on a layer I was working with the letter A
in font size 20.  How would I use scaling exactly?
I guess I am a real beginner because I used FONT SIZE
until I started trying to draft a sign 20" wide by 30" high.
    Thanks for this help.
    Daniel :-)

  • I want to use Hebrew fonts in Illustrator CC 2014

Hello - I have installed Illustrator CC 2014 in both the English and English/Hebrew versions and still can't seem to get my Hebrew fonts to work. No matter what I try, any verbiage I type is still showing as roman characters. Any tips or advice?

  • Apps using larger font in my new iPhone 6

I just received my iPhone 6 this morning and I've noticed all my apps are opening in a larger more pixelated font. I tried resetting the phone but it's still in this large ugly font. what can I do to change it back to the correct font

Its the way iPhone 5 apps are scaling, its now upto the app developers to update their apps for the new screen sizes. I would say a couple of months for most major apps. Some devs are really fast and have already updated their apps for the new screen sizes, like wunderlist. As of now there is nothing that you can do to make the fonts smaller, just wait till the developers catch up.

  • When you create a PostScript file you must rely on system fonts and use document fonts

    I got this error:
"When you create a PostScript file you must rely on system fonts and use document fonts. Please go to the printer properties, "Adobe PDF Settings" page and turn OFF the option "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts."
This strikes me as bad practice. I only want to use system fonts and document fonts will muck me up.
That being said, I could not easily find a way to fix this with Acrobat Pro XI. I opened Control Panel (Windows 8) and found the printer and mucked around in the various ways to get to change the PDF settings (there are several ways, and some of them present the choices as bold and not just regular). I found two separate switches for "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" and turned both off, BUT that did not work.
Frustrated, I went back to FrameMaker and clicked File > Print Setup and then for the PDF printer, Printer Properties. There I found a THIRD instance of "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts" that was set differently than the other two. This was the setting the error message meant. Change this one.
Thanks for the convoluted UI, Adobe. What a pain, but there is the answer for all who follow after....

    > Windows 7 and Frame 7.2.
This is not a supported configuration and probably does not work, due (I'm guessing) to driver API changes from XP to Win7, which would affect generating PDF and Ps output. This would affect Save-as-PDF and Print-to-Ps+Distill (unless you have a newer version of the full Acrobat product).
As it happens, I'm going to attempt something similar: FM 7.0 on Win7 64 Pro. However, I'm going to install that old FM in "XP Mode".
XP Mode is a 32-bit virtual machine running actual Windows XP inside Win7. It is (now maybe "was") available for Windows 7 Enterprise, Professional and Ultimate (but not Basic, Home or not-so-Premium). When XP went off support life earlier this month, Mr.Bill may have taken down the ability  to download XP Mode (or not, since some large enterprises are able to  purchase continued support for XP at some great cost). XP Mode never was supported for Win8. There are other VMs for Windows available.
If XP Mode is still available, you also need a CPU that has hardware virtualization, which all recent 64-bit AMD processors do, but which is fused-off in many low end 64-bit Intel processors. AMD processors need a separate unobvious hot-fix patch installed before you do anything else about XP Mode.

  • Fontheight problem with large fonts, probably Table related

I use large fonts (size 22) and some websites that use tables as a layout tool do not display correctly, for example [http://www.khanacademy.org/#browse http://www.khanacademy.org/#browse]
    or
    [http://youtube.com http://youtube.com]
The bottom half of the font inside tables is overlayed by the line below and the only way the page can be read is by using View->Style->No Style
It looks like the table height doesn't take the font height into account, as soon as the minimum font size size is above 14 it becomes progressively unreadable.

If you have increased the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" as a high value can cause such issues.
*Edit > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
*Edit > Preferences > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with overlapping text.
    *Default FullZoom Level: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/default-fullzoom-level/
    *NoSquint: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/nosquint/

  • Using Derived fonts in JTextPane

    Hi All,
    1) Is there any way to insert a char or string in JTextPane, using derived fonts. insertString method takes font information from AttributeSet, where you can specify a font family name only and not the actual FONT type. Suppose I derive a font, and want to use that font for my string, How do I do that.
    2) Another queston is that is there any way to insert a blank space of a desired size (in mm, cm or pixel unit) in JTextPane, which uses document as its model ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    2) Another queston is that is there any way to insert a blank space of a desired size (in mm, cm or pixel unit) in JTextPane, which uses document as its model ? The easiest way is to create image of desired size and insert image in the document using following.
    MutableAttributeSet attrs=new SimpleAttributeSet();
    StyleConstants.setIcon(attrs,imageIcon);
    document.insertString(offset," ",attrs);
another way is to create custom SizeFixedView (with desired size) and replace usual LabelView with it.
    best regards
