I want to use my Ipad1 with hdmi cable and keynote.
I bought HDMI connector and keynote to use for presentations.
I was led to believe that this would work with IPad 1.
I know IPad 1 will not do screen mirroring. I just want to do presentations
Do I need to get a refund?

I have a 2011 i5 iMac and I am struggling to connect it to my Samsung PS50C680 Plasma TV. I am using a MDP to HDMI cable and using HDMI1 on the TV as shown in the manual. No matter which I turn on first etc the iMac cannot find the display and the TV shows no signal. Has anyone else had a similar problem? Any help would be appreciated.

Is this possible? Or can only one computer have control off the apple tv? Can someone else seamlessly take control?
Its for a church service and would be nice for it to just be seamlessly transfered to different people rather than showing the apple menu which might be distracting.You can't airplay from multiple devices at the same time, but you can switch.

It's do-able, but I don't think it's a great idea.
DVI
Some users with DVI have managed to get their TV's to work with DVI-HDMI cables. DVI carries no audio, so alternative connections need to be explored to enable audio. DVI doesn't necessarily support HDCP as well as other standards used by HDMI (which may or may not be an issue)
Analogue
There are hardware converters that will convert HDMI to various other types of output, however there are some issues with doing so that you should be aware of.
HDCP
HDCP compliant converters will not allow you to watch HDCP protected content such as that from the iTunes Store. Non compliant converters exist but we cannot discuss them under the Terms of Use for these communities.
Resolution and aspect ratio
I'm not aware of any converters that will scale the output from the Apple TV, any TV or projector which is used will need to be widescreen and support resolutions of 720p (Apple TV 2), 720p/1080p (Apple TV 3)

I want to connect my IMAC to TV with HDMI cable. I did it before going to Dispaly and Arrangments and then mirror. Now when I go to display I dont have to option of arrangements. Olny {Display and Color} pops up. Any ideas what happend to arrengements?
For the "Arangements" option to appear, the external display must be turned on with the correct input selected and connected to the computer. Then close system prefs, reopen, go to "Display" and "Arrangement" will be along the top.

How can I transfer video taken with my iPhone to my iPad WITHOUT using a computer or iTunes? I'm going to Europe for a month and want to use my iPhone to take pics and video, then come back to the hotel room and use my iPad to edit/store each evening. here is a cheaper solution than camera kit and a lot easier if you have WIFI available.
I use the PhotoSync APP (I think its a $1.99) will transfer videos and photos over WIFI to any other IOS device or even PC/MAC. Great app since I like doing video and photos on my IPHONE and transfer to IPAD2 without synching through computer or doing cloud based storage.
You can even send photos/videos from your MAC/PC to your IOS devices that way too. Makes it so much easier.

I am unsure how it can be determined the payment mix up was the fault of CS, but regardless, the mix up was done. There can be any number of reasons why a payment could be missed without any fault on your part, however you are still the responsible party for the account and must live with the repercussions. -

As I heard, If i get an unlocked iphone 5s, I can use it with my Wind Mobile which i have to have a $40 monthly plan for it. I dont know if you know the procedure in Canada and Turkey. Wind mobile wasnt supporting Iphones until they decided to let people use Iphone 5s with their $40 plan.And as i know, Turkey is the only country that asks you to register the imei on your passport to use it. So, most of people did not know it. so procedures are changing country by country. Are you sure that If I buy an Iphone 5s from a canadian apple store, use it with my wind mobile line and the turkish line in Turkey?

My apple TV is connected to a DTV with an HDMI cable and to my Yamaha receiver via optic cable. We rented a movie on Apple TV and.found that the movie played, but we only got audio for music tracks. Voice tracks were silent using both TV and receiver. This only occurred on the rented video and on recorded shows on my cable DVR. previews and other content on Apple TV are fine. Any ideas??
Previews and trailers do not contain 5.1 audio.
If you have recently moved your setup, you may have inadvertently changed some of the settings on your receiver. It certainly sounds as though it is unable to play the 5.1 audio from the Apple TV.
