Hi Ravi,
you can download all documents related to bo from help.sap.com. in that select business objects tab-> select all products -> from drop down list box select businessobjects-> based on requirement i.e. which version you want you can get all docs.
If I understand correctly I think you want to create a report form excel. If that is the case then download Desktop Intelligence docs w.r.to our version and start practicing it.

Business Objects Customization Using Class file without net bean

Hi,
Any one please help me out.
my requirement is like I want to use Business Objects SDK

I try to do this with creating Batch file add all Jar file and set path and but its not working.

I am a dotnet developer (asp.net with C#). I am sorry I dont know much about Business objects. Our client a financial firm wants to use Business object with a web based application. I couldn't got a clear and good understanding of Business object. The client just said Business objects allows dynamically creating reports even clients can create reports very easily even without knowing SQL.
Kindly guide me about Business Object product and its what component I should check for using it. Please mention some links that can give me introduction.

Integration between SAP BI 3.5 and Business Object

Hi experts
I'm working on a SAP ECC 5.00 environment with SAP BI 3.5
We want introduce the Business object application for the SAP Bi reporting, without upgrade SAP BI to 7.0 release.
Can you suggest me a documentation or similar explaining the pros and cons of this type integration, and possible problems we can occur on (if any).
another question is: is it possible upgrade SAP BI to 7.0 release maintaining Netweaver 2004, or the upgrade to Netweaver 2004s is required?
if this upgrade is required, it will affect also the ECC (from 5.00 o 6.00)?

Install Business Objects XI R2 on Windows Server 2008

Hi,
I want to install Business Objects on Windows Server 2008 using IIS7 however i cannot select the IIS ASP.Net option when I get to the "Choose Web Component Adapter Type" screen.

Ok,
After not having much like with installing on IIS7.0 i opted to do an install with the TomCat Server.
This was also not successful, It seems that TomCat relies on a service called NTLMSSP
this has been removed in both Vista and Server 2008.. (I guess this is why ive been having so many issues!)...
After doing some reading on the above mentioned service it is quite possible that IIS 7 could also be using it.

Present we are using BI 7.0 In our organization,Now we want to install Business Objects .
we don't want to change present BI Like cubes,DSO's.Only we need new reports should be developed in Business Objects.
and the same BO'S should use existing reports from Business Explorer.
If possible what Business Objects Version need to install.because we don't want install whole .

you can either install BO Edge 3.1 ( < 100 end users) or BO Enterprise XI 3.1 ( > 100 end users). Additonally you need to install the int.Kit for SAP XI 3.1.
Depending on the type of usage you can additionally install the Crystal Reports Designer 2008 V1 (used to build CR reports) and the XCelsius 2008 Designer V1 (used for building highly interactive dashboards).
Ingo has written a great book regarding the integration of SAP BI and BusinessObjects tools.

Installation Business Objects Mobile

Hi guys.. i want to install Business Objects mobile but i have question but i want to know if i can install Business Objects Mobiel over the same server of Business Objects XI, i believe that the Mobile server should not need a lot of resources...theres any technical restriction or its mandatory to have a dedicated server for this...

Hi guys yes i found the supported platforms and it could be installed on the same server but..... when i ve installed on the same server of the XI (Win 2008 Server) i found that theres some incompatibility of Mobile and Win 2008 and it didn´t run for me; finally i installed on a 2003 server on a separate server and i it works fine

I want to use Business Object for Event trigering so just wondering if anybody has detail steps required for it.I already looked at transaction SWO1 but I don't know all the required steps.

you need to find the appropriate standard business object first . this can be don eby using event trace . switch on the trace by swe4 perform the required transaction and then display the trace in swel. if a standard object is there you will get it listed there with the event that got triggered when u performed the transaction.then u can eventually make a zcopy of it and use

Restriction when using Business object

hi all,
Currently i want to use Business Object to create a new Company code. After searching the Business object in Transaction SWO1, I find 'BUS0002' can realize it. But there is only one import parameter of method 'create' , that's the company code key id.
Is there any solution to import other parameters,such as description of the company code, currency etc. when using the business object to create the company code?
