I want UK dates but not all UK systems

As a dyscalculic (that's someone with numeric dyslexia) I need dates to be like in previous OS's. DD Month YEAR. At this time I can only achieve this through the settings using United Kingdom format. However, all preferences and measurements are now set that way: money symbols, time, distance, temperature, etc.
This is making a terrible mess for my school and work documents since the new Pages, Numbers, and Keynote all use a less customizable format. I can't keep my number recognition/comprehension straight. My keyboard is set to English (US), but the dollar symbol is showing the English Pound. And still, the dates in my spreadsheets and docs are reversed to Month DD, YEAR.
Any ideas?
Apple removed much of the user controls and for people working/studying in multiple languages this is a serious problem, especially for those with learning disabilities.

Is this an IMAP account?
If so, create some locally stored mailboxes with Outlook to transfer and sort messages from the server stored mailboxes. This will store the messages locally on your computer's hard drive and remove them from the server at the same time. The iPhone's Mail client will download messages available in server stored mailboxes only with an IMAP account. The iPhone's Mail client also includes a setting to download and show only recent messages with the following options.
25 Recent Messages
50 Recent Messages
75 Recent Messages
100 Recent Messages
200 Recent Messages
So all messages will not be downloaded at one time. If you choose show 200 Recent Messages, when you get to the bottom and want to view message 201, you must download more messages.

Need to write a formula in ICM to strip some PV data, but not all...

In previous steps of the ICM call flow, we are setting PV6 with some call data. For example, Parts^(DateTime)^N^N. The carrot is just for a separator.
In a later step, we want to change the Parts to be Sales, but we don't want to delete the datetime and ^N^N. How can I write a formula to strip the first part of the call variable, but leave the remaining and insert the new portion "sales?"

Try setting PV6 to:
concatenate("Sales",right(Call.PeripheralVariable6,(len(Call.PeripheralVariable6) - find("^",Call.PeripheralVariable6))))
The find function will give you the character number of the first occurrance of whatever you specify, so combining "Sales" with the rightmost number of characters of the PV should do the trick. To determine the rightmost (if the Parts part is variable length) you want the total length minus the first x characters before your "^".
I haven't tested it out, so you may need a +1 or a -1 in there somewhere before the last two parentheses to get the exact right length.
Update: I just tried it out in Excel. As posted, it will not include the first "^", so you'll either need to have:
concatenate("Sales^",.....
or
concatenate("Sales",...))+1))

I have updated iTunes on my computer and my iPod nano 4 is up to date but not all music shows up in my iTunes library..only the purchased songs..what happened and how do I get them back into the library?

The music library in the updated version of iTunes is grossly incomplete although the music still remains on my iPod. Why did this happen and how do I get the music back into the library?

If your iTunes library is on an external hard drive, but iTunes is not recognizing the library, first make sure the right library is selected.
You can use these steps to make sure iTunes is opening the library on your external drive:
If iTunes is running, quit iTunes.
If you're using Windows, hold down the Shift key and from the Start menu, choose All Programs > iTunes > iTunes.
If you're using a Mac, open iTunes and immediately hold down the Option key.
You should see one of these screens:
Pick Choose Library and locate the library on your external hard drive.

If the right library is selected, but you do not see your songs, try re-creating the library using the instructions found here:

In iMovie you can only do two at a time. So the work-around would be to do the green screen/change background color part. Then Share this. Then import this piece back into an event. Then add the picture in picture.
In Final Cut Pro X, you could easily do what you are describing.
The main reason is that iMovie does all rendering in one pass. Final Cut Pro X allows multiple renders as you go along, so you can do much more complex effects.

I want to share some photos from iphoto via email to multiple but not all addresses in my address book but when I try and add a recpient in the To field it will only allow me add one. I have to send the email to juts one person and then when it is sent the template with my photos and messages disappears and I have to start all over again! Surely there is an easier way - please help! Thanks

IMHO the best solution is to use apple mail - set it in your iPhoto preferences

It is 2015 and iTunes still wants to tell me what to listen to. This problem still persists. The only solution I have found is to select "Manual ..." and pick one by one the items to sync.
When I select items to sync by artist or genre they do copy to the device. Then iTunes continues randomly selecting music until the device is full. When I want to load the Nano for a road trip I don't want 20% of the tracks to be Chakra meditation. When little Nano is docked on the nightstand alarm clock I DON'T want to hear Motorhead, Ministry, etc.
For all the effort aPple puts into seamless integration and ease of use ... Why the heck is it so hard to say NO? Sync these tracks and NOT those. Stop asking me to log in to your cloud service BTW. I do not want it.

You can use one Apple ID for purchasing (App Store & iTunes Store) and shared with your child whereas your child uses a different Apple ID for Game Center, e-mail, FaceTime, iMessage. Even on iCloud there you'll get an extra 5GB free.

I updated my iPod Touch to 6.0.1. after much prompting. Now my music is gone! (along with apps, photos and podcasts). After syncing a bunch of times some of it came back, but not all of it. How odd is that? How can I get my music back on it??

Go to iTunea>Preferences>Devices and see if there is a backupright at the time you did the update. Then try restoring from that backup. If the apps are in your iTunes library, any app data will be restored to the iPod.
When restoring from an iOS 4 (or later) backup, if the device had a passcode set, iTunes will ask if you want to set a passcode (and remind you that you had protected your device with a passcode). iTunes will not ask you to set a passcode when restoring from iOS 3.x and prior backups.
Therefore, remembe the passcode that you enter this time.
It appears that if you restore from a backup, that backup is not subseqyently overwritten by the next backup.

Apple TV plays SOME of DRM TV SHOWS, but not all. WHY?

I usually LOVE apple products (5 ipod devices, etc . . .) but my new Apple TV is very frustrating.
I have All the BattleStar Galactica Episodes (50+) that I purchased off of the itunes store. The apple TV will only play 4 of the 50 episodes. I always get the following error messages "Video format is not supported by Apple TV" even though I purchased them through the itunes store.
I can sync some shows, but not all.
It does this with some other series as well.
I'm running Windows XP and it is completely up to date.
I have updated my Apple TV.
ALSO, I sometimes (but not always) get the message "Apple TV does not have enough room to sync the TV Show xyz" It will say then when I have 96gb free on a 160gb Apple TV.
I'm not certain the two issues "Video Format" and "space" are related.

I can not access to my music librairy in MUSIC, unless Itunes on my PC is open.
If you want to access the content in iTunes on your local computer then yes they computer has to be one and iTunes has to be running.

Yes it is. You just said above that you can see the content on your local computer. Home sharing has to be working for that to happen.

Thanks for taking the time. Unfortunately no that does not solve it. Same as swipe it will get me there and it will show separate programs spaced out. The issue I am having is that all my open word files are bunched up in a pile on top of each other. I can see the edges of each one but I want them to be separated from each other enough that I can visually identify what file is what.

Wifi not working with iTunes, apps store and some, but not all Internet sites....why???

Yesterday I noticed while browsing Internet that some sites would not open and that some games I regularly play would not open. I also found that I could not open either the apps store or iTunes. Everything seemed to be working the day before and I have not recently upgraded ios (been on version 6.1.3 for a while) or changed any settings on my iPad (2). With Internet research today I found suggestion that if I switched to 3G I would be able to access these apps and,sure enough, under 3G connection everything works fine. Some other forums suggest changing wifi router settings to fix the issue ....I have not tried this as I wouldn't like to mess with my router and end up effecting other peripherals/pc's connected to it that are working fine....especially when I am not terribly IT savvy when it comes to hardware settings. But as I haven't changed anything on my ipad why would my wifi suddenly stop connecting to some apps on my iPad, but not all??? Interestingly I can access many Internet sites (forums) with wifi connection but not the apple forum! To get to anything apple related I have to switch back to 3G ....that includes checking the iOS version I am on via settings!
I also mention that I have done all the other suggested fixes found on various forums, such as rebooting iPad, renewing wifi lease, clearing cookies, closing all apps etc etc, to no avail. Seems the only suggested fix I have not tried is mucking around with my router which I am very hesitant to do given the **** I went through with my telco when my home Internet connection suddenly stopped working last year. Took me weeks of phone calls to get my internet connection back and being forced by the telco to a more expensive plan, hence very reluctant to start mucking around with that side of things, but why should I need to when it does seem to be working ok with other devices in the home?
I have started this as new discussion as, even though I am not terribly IT savvy, I cant see how this could be related to the wifi issues that many on the newer devices (iPhone 5 and iPad mini etc) are reporting as I haven't recently upgraded anything on my ipad and all was working perfectly up until yesterday.
Any other suggestions on how to get wifi working correctly again on iPad or do I really have to risk the working of every other device in my home and chase it from modem/router side?

I have an iMac with OS X Lion 10.7.5,an iPhone 5s with iOS 7.1.2 and an iPad with iOS 7.1.2. all software is up to date. My problem is I do not receive all my e-mail on all 3 devices all the time. I seem to get them on my phone , but not all show up on my iMac or iPad. Any ideas as to what is going on and what can I do to resolve this issue? thanks

On the iPhone, go into Settings -> Store and turn off "Automatic Downloads" for Apps (and Music and Books, if you wish). You can also do that on the iPad to prevent it from going in the opposite direction.
That will stop any automatic downloading... to prevent them from coming over when using iTunes, select the phone (under Devices), Apps, and then uncheck "Automatically sync new apps." Again, do the same for the iPad if you wish.

Some, but not all, podcasts existing on the iPod no longer appear in iTunes. Different podcasts have been affected at different times, after changes in the state of the iPod. Only podcasts are affected.

I have not seen this precise issue addressed anywhere. I don’t know if it’s an iTunes or an iPod problem:
- Some, but not all, podcasts existing on the iPod no longer appear in iTunes;
this, after normal behavior for more than a year since purchase of the iPod.
- Different podcasts have been affected at different times, after changes in the state of the iPod.
- Only podcasts are affected.
- This concerns an iPod nano 6th gen. and iTunes 11.0.2 (26) on System 10.6.8
- The only change to iTunes, the Mac, or the iPod is that just before this condition began
I’d begun syncing an iPhone via iTunes.
I sync manually (“manually manage music and videos”). The first time this happened, I wanted to delete seventeen podcast episodes (all belonging to one podcast) existing on the iPod — but they didn’t show up in iTunes. I tried re-downloading them and re-syncing, to see if the new versions would somehow “re-link” to iTunes. They didn’t. Only one — new — episode appeared in iTunes.
I ultimately reset the iPod and manually resynced all the podcasts I currently had on iTunes. That worked, though I had to painstakingly add in all the other content deleted by the reset.
So: after that reset and manual sync, all podcasts and episodes on the iPod were visible to iTunes and I was able to delete the podcast and its — now 18 — episodes I’d wanted to get rid of to begin with. But the next time I connected the iPod, only 8 podcast episodes out of 21 episodes total existing on the iPod were visible to iTunes. These are different podcasts; I’d deleted the original “invisible” ones.
By “visible,” I mean in the “Podcasts” list view under “[name]’s iPod” in the iTunes sidebar. If I select “[name]’s” iPod in the iTunes sidebar and the “Podcasts” tab, all podcasts and episodes are visible, though greyed out because I’m set to sync manually. It’s unclear to me if these are the podcasts on the iPod or those currently in iTunes, as they are currently the same. If I switch to syncing automatically, all content on the iPod will be lost again, so I’m not up to trying it at the moment.
As I said, this involves only podcasts. All other content on the iPod does appear in iTunes.

I have the same problem- i see my movies in the ipod section in itunes and they even show as mpeg4 in the 'kind' section but they dont have that small TV icon next to them. if i play these in itunes, they play fine- but try playing them on the ipod and all you hear is the sound and no picture. All videos that i manually transfer work fine in the beginning- its when i hook up the ipod to the comp again and start itunes- they start showing up without the 'tv' icon!! i have to again transfer them from the itunes library to activate them as videos.

Where are you looking for Siri voice selection? It should be in Settings/General/Siri. You must also choose a language that has a choice of voices. US English and Canadian English do, UK and Australian do not.
What do you see in Settings/Wallpapers & Brightness? You need to tap one of the 2 images to see the selections available.
As I said, it is impossible that the installation is incomplete; you just aren't finding the new features. If you want to reinstall anyway, upgrade iTunes on your computer to 11.1, then connect the phone using a USB cable directly to the computer (not a hub), click on the iPhone's name in iTunes, then click the Restore iPhone button.
