I wanted to update the software, but my iphone shut down, and cannot even restore back. why?

I decided to update the software, but it failed. Itunes icon came out. I decided to restore back, but it says that I have an error. The iphone was working perfect before updating.

Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing when trying to perform an update. I recommend trying to update using iTunes, and as always, it is a good idea to make a backup first.

This is a tedious solution, which is stupid! And some users report an inability to reauthorize a computer after an "en masse” deauthorization. I can’t believe Apple doesn’t provide a list or menu to find out which computers you’ve authorized! Obviously, APPLE knows (or else they couldn’t tell us how many computers we have authorized)--so why can’t they give us access to that information about our own computers??!!!
And for an already-authorized computer with a hard drive that’s since been replaced and upgraded from Mavericks to Yosemite, would it be recognized as a “new computer” and require authorization? Would its previous incarnation (i.e., with the old hard drive and OS) be considered a separate computer? Some users report they can’t authorize a computer after an OS upgrade because of that. Can’t believe we have to do such a bass-ackwards kludge!

I have also noticed the same "problem". I do not fully understand the impact of using the same ID on multiple computers and devices if I want to keep them all in sync.

If your phone isn't being recognized by your computer, you need to follow the steps in this article to resolve that
Also, some basic isolation needs to be done. Does it show up in itunes on any other computers? do you have other cords you can test with to see if it might be the cord? if the phone doesn't show up on any computers, it's likely your phone has a hardware issue

Then you will need to try restoring it once more:

The system for update from version 9.0.0 does not work at all. "There are no updates" listed in the dialog.

I have deleted the iCloud account under my name on their iPads and replaced with their ones. Apple support said yesterday I needed to click the small 'I' by each name as it came up in the TO box and remove it. After doing rid for each contact under each letter of the alphabet it should remove them from latest contacts. Have you already activated the iPad? That is what the screen is telling you to do - connect to the computer with the supplied cable and run iTunes while connected - and iTunes should guide you through the set up process. If you have already set up the iPad and you are still getting thos screen message - restore your iPad. You must be running iTunes 10.5 on your computer as well.

If you areupdating your idevice nothing will be deleted the i know of. I have updated my iPhone 5 to the lastest IOS 7.0.4 and everthing that i had on my iPhone 5 is still there, Just got all the awesome IOS7 features,
