I was charging my iphone 4 and i noticed it turned off by itself.
when i turned it back on it was reset to factory settings, telling me to conect it to itunes, it also does'nt turn on unless it is pluged in and charging.
Somehow it got into recovery mode, so you need to connect it to iTunes.
I hope you had a backup.

i need some help. my iPad was working perfectly fine about 20mins ago and then it just turned off and wont turn back on. its was at about 60% when it stoped working so i have ruled out the fact that its dead. ive tryed turning it back on but it wont please help.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up

I deleted all the apps, restored the phone twice and the problem persists. I just want the phone to last a couple of months until I can get the new iphone. Any suggestions as to what else can be done??

HT1386 Auto sync between iPhone and iTunes won't turn off
Somehow my iPhone still starts to autosync with itunes on connecting, despite the option 'Prevent iPhones etc from autosyncing' in Preferences being checked (and saved!). Highly annoying. Why does it ignore this setting and how can I REALLY turn it off?
When that happens you have to have iTunes restore the device.

I have an iphone 5, 5 months old. I bought it at Frankfurt airport, I get the message that there is no sign and then the phone turns off by itself, sometimes I don´t notice is off until hours later. What can I do? Where should I apply for the guarantee? There is also another problem. I bought the phone at the aiport because I live in Ukraine and there are not authorized resellers in this country. Althought, all carriers provide services for iphone. I suggest you complete erase it, back it up, and start fresh. If the problem persists, contact Apple because your Iphone is defective and it needs replacement. -

Hi, had the same problem with my ipad.
First of all I would suggest to close all apps which might be opened (maybe one is working without that you know).
To close the apps press twice in a row the home button and keep a finger on the first app which appesars on the lower band until the entire row starts moving. then press the red MINUS on all oyur apps in order to close them all.
Then switch on and off your phone and see whether the battery is still draining.
if this continues try to keep you phone on a flight modus to see if this is due to internet connection.
maybe you should review some of your settings, as notifications, bluetooth, push services etc. (see specific topics on how to save battery).
If you still have not solved your problem try to restart you phone as a new one (after that you can re-download all your apps). 8do this by using itunes)
remind to save your data (e.g. pictures) prior to this operation. -

I have an iPhone 4S and iPad 2 and have been swapping the chargers about when charging. Now a friend tells me that this isn't good and I should use the specific charger for each. Firstly, is this right??
Secondly, I now no longer know which charger belongs to which product. Does anyone know the voltage for each?? (I live in the UK, not sure if this would make a difference).
Thirdly, I also have a MacBook Pro. Can I charge my iPhone and iPad from this without causing damage?

The iPad charger looks larger than the iPhone one. Additionally, the iPad charger can be used with an extension cable, unlike the iPhone charger. You should notice that the iPad charger has a detachable plug.
It is more than safe to use an iPhone with an iPad charger. I don't recommend the other way around (using an iPad w/iPhone charger) but the iPad 2 doesn't syphon power like the iPad 3/4 do. -

I leave it charging until it gets back to full, usually it turns on after a little bit of time after plugging it in, but all its doing is going to the apple logo screen and going blank again.
