I have a new hard drive as my old one crashed. Everything seemed to transfer fine except for my entire iTunes library. It shows all of my old songs, but when I click on one it states "the song could not be used as the original file could not be found.would you like to locate it".
Either how do I locate it, and I've tried every trick I know, or how do I restore all of my songs from one of two sources. I have my old hard drive backedup on an external drive which should have all of my songs, and I have most of my songs on my old iPhone 3S which I'm using as a backup iPod.The "missing file" error happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout, or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place. In the case of a library moved from one system to another there are also potential permissions issues. See Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to Get Info, then click No when asked to try to locate the track. (Due to a bug in iTunes 12 you currently have to say No twice!) Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, a folder renamed, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions. If the difference between the two paths is an additional Music folder in one path then this is a layout issue. I can explain further if that is the case.
In some cases iTunes may be able to repair itself if you go through the same steps with Get Info but this time click Locate and browse to the lost track. It may then offer to attempt to automatically fix other broken links.
If another application like Windows Media Player has moved/renamed the files then the chances are that subtle differences in naming strategies will make it hard to restore the media to the precise path that iTunes is expecting. In such cases, as long as the missing files can be found somewhere, you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes. See this post for an explanation of how it works.

I just purchased pro, but when registering it I don't get the QuickTime 7 Pro" below the Registration Code. I have no idea how to proceed, but do know that it's not working. What do I do?

Hmmm. I'm more used to dealing with this sort of thing on Vista and 7 systems ... and it can also be a bit easier to implement workarounds on Vista and 7 than it is on XP. But we can try some basic principles troubleshooting if you're game.
If you're game ... first, by way of experiment, let's try a "Run as ..." and see if that gets you the Pro controls.

In My Computer open Local Disk C:\ or whichever drive you've got your program files installed on.
Open the "Program files" folder.
Open the "QuickTime" folder.
Right-click on the QuickTimePlayer.exe file and select "Run as"
Select the Administrator account, entering your password if you've got one.
If the Player launches, do you see your Pro controls active now? -
when we try to buy a new app or update our existing apps, my account settings wont allow me to enter ANY of my credit cards. It says to contact apple/itunes/support, but when I do, I don't understand how to navigate it to find an answer. Help!

I keep getting notified I have an update available but when I try to update I get the following msg ,"You have updates available for other accounts To update this application, sign in to the account you used to purchase it.". I only have one account with apple and the software was preinstalled when I purchased my macbook in Aug 2012 with that account. Has anyone had this problem or know how to find out what account apple needs?
You log into the App store using the same Apple ID you used to set the computer up, verify that none of your apps are hidden and that they have all be accepted and then download and install the update

No, it does not. It transfers purchases from the iDevice to the computer. The computer must be authorized for the Apple ID that the content was acquired with.

What can I do to solve an issue with my iPod touch gen. 5 32 gb on connecting to iTunes on my computer? iTunes says there is an error with my iPod touch, which this was a result of deleting my songs and videos. YOU can't fix it. But you can bring it in to Apple for an out of warranty replacement for $199.

- Go to settings>Store and sign out and sign into your account.
- Apps are locked to the account that purchased them.
- To update apps you have to sign into the account that purchased the apps. If you have apps that need updating purchased from more than one account you have to update them one at a time until the remaining apps were purchased from one account. -
I'm trying to import a new cd, but when I load it in, iTunes shuffles the track order. What the heck?!
If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours. You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method. But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

I have a CC subscription and had it loaded on my Mac and my old MacBook pro. I bought a new macbook pro and turned off CC on my old laptop but when I try to load it on the new one it keeps saying I already have it activated on two devices. Help!

Restoring should not be the only solution !
Apple should work on fixing this issue.
The option is available when u email,
A blue arrow appears and when u click it,
It asks if u want to remove it permanently
So i think the phone # after u send a sms/text
Should be able to be deleted at will.

My iPad says when i try to download a movie that i don't have enough memory, but when I check I have plenty for the movie and more. What can I do? Also, I can't completely sync to iTunes, when i try it waits at waiting for items to copy forever.
Delete some stuff to make room on the device.

My iPod was updating to iOS 6 and i shut it off during the update because it was taking too long and now my screen in baby blue i've tried to drain the battery but when i plugged it in to charge the blue screen came back on.I dont know what to do
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.
