I was experiencing an issue with an app, I deleted, re-installed, and now the app is downloading brand new. All of my progress is lost. In itunes it says the app was created and modified the day i tried uninstalling. Im at a loss, any suggestions?
I have tried all of the support tips, and am now trying to contact the developers of the app. I am a little frustrated because I have been playing about a year. So when I open the app after I deleted it I start out brand new. So I started a new ID and I looked up my old app ID and I can see the progress of my previous game before the delete but there is no possible way for me to play the app under that ID now. From all the forums I have read this is impossible because you are not supposed to be able to reset the app from one device. TaDa! Leave it to me to be the only one. I am in limbo waiting on the app developers to get back with me. Who knows how long that will be... Not sure if I am making any sense because I have never had this happen before.
Lord K. Thank you. Yes I am within the 90 time period, however I travel Intertionally and I can not receive not make a call to Apple. I was just at the Genius Bar in Chicago and they said, don't worry about it. It just floats out there, however, I can not recover my messages on a flash drive. I need to go back to my old computer which I don't have with me. My messages were in folders for a lawsuit. It is going to take an incredible amount of work for me to, you have no Idea. We are talking thousands of pages! I the defendent will have them during discovery so I am not so worried. However, I can not bring them to him on a Flashdrive when I meet with him without an extraordinary amount of presssure on my part. THis is not just some little email issue. This is suing EXPEDIA and Tripadviosr.com

Thanks for responding Chris. Flash Player consistently crashes no matter what site I am in. I've tried all of the suggested fixes in Flash Player help and nothing has been successful. The computer confirms that I have downloaded the most recent file but Adobe Flash Player doesn't show in the Firfox Add Ons. I also tried Firefox flash player suggestions but none worked. It crashes no matter what page I am on. If flash player is required, it crashes. It also crashes in Internet Explorer. I am a novice so please bear with me. Thanks for any help you can offer.

When I tried to update to the latest version of itunes, I kept getting a message saying installation failed and if the problem persisted I should try to install manually. When that failed I uninstalled and tried to reinstalled, then I got messages saying MSVCR.dll is missing and could not open itunes. Any solutions out there?

Updated to iOS 8.1.2 last night (Did the "Restore" option - not Update) on my iPhone 5....
When my iPhone is "asleep" (not connected to a power source other than battery), the device awakens fine by pushing either the power button or home button. However, if the device is asleep and you plug the Lightening cable to charge it, it vibrates, but it will not wake using the power button or home button. It's not until you remove the Lightening cable will it reboot itself and become functional again.
In a waked state (using it actively), however, I can connect power to it and use it fine. But if it goes to sleep with the Lightening cable attached, it won't wake up (until you remove power and it reboots).
For example today, I had it in a waked state playing music. The device went to sleep, but the music kept playing. While the music played (and the screen was dark), I tried to wake it by the home button and/or power button. No go. I then removed the power cord and within about 2-3 minutes, the music stopped and rebooted.
I've tried two different cords and power sources. I can plug the cable into the iPhone as long as the USB-end of the Lightening cable isn't connected to a power source. Not sure what the 8.1.2 update did, because it didn't do this before under my old iOS version. Seems odd that power would affect it like this.
I'll likely try to re-install 8.1.2 again tonight or tomorrow to see if the install got horked...Because that is what you added to your profile, iPod touch. And that's what you had selected when you created this question. Just because you clicked on 'iPhone 5' in the 'Select a Category' option, that's not the same as selecting your particular affected product below it under 'Product'

There are times when web pages do not want to load fully and other times not at all. They just continue to open up with a blank screen. My routers light flash during this process and then they stop as if no connection is being made. I do know for sure it is not my ISP or internet explorer browser.

The same thing happens while in an email program with clicking in the email link and page pops up and continues to search for the web site. You have to reload over and over again until it finally locates it and then opens. Should I uninstall the Firefox browser and install again.....?

It sounds like you may have multiple problems, but none of them are likely to be caused by malware.
First, the internet-related issues may be related to adware or a network compromise. I tend to lean more towards the latter, based on your description of the problem. See:

If investigation shows that this is not a network-specific issue, then it's probably adware. See my Adware Removal Guide for help finding and removing it. Note that you mention AdBlock as if it should have prevented this, but it's important to understand that ad blockers do not protect you against adware in any way. Neither would any kind of anti-virus software, which often doesn't detect adware.
As for the other issues, it sounds like you've got some serious corruption. I would be inclined to say it sounds like a failing drive, except it sounds like you just got it replaced. How did you get all your files back after the new drive was installed?

Your Java player (if relevant) is not clearly indicated in your plugins list, and your Flash player is several versions behind. If Apple has an update site, you might check that first. Mozilla's site is here: http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/

I have an iphone 4. Recently I have issues with certain apps closing immediately once they are opened.(ie Email). Tried re-booting entire phone and still having issues. Any one else having this issue or know a fix for it?
Delete background Apps from memory and then Reset.
To Delete background Apps, double click Home button, in the bar at bottom, hold down on an App Icon until the minus sign appears, tap all the minus signs, until all background Apps are cleared from memory. Then Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart itself, ignor the 'slide to power off' let the iPhone restart itself. Usually takes about 10 seconds of holding both buttons. -

I am wondering what options do I have to discover the problem. COuld it be the most recent IOS update? I don't want to have to restore an old backup and loose data.

We rebooted and can log into Novell client but the login prompt did not appear for ESM client or the icon was not in the systray. Everything seems to work, besides at times (a couple times today) it terminates his ethernet card/connection. I would re-image his computer but he has several applications and it would take several hours, so I am hoping someone has an idea to fix this issue. So I was trying to figure out why he did not get the prompt to login and why it's not in the systray and it appears to not have completed the install? I checked the add/remove programs, its not listed within their, I also checked the registry and found nothing for endpoint within their, but the files are within c:\program files\novell\zenworks endpoint security.

AndyIf you are searching the registry, check for the "Senforce" string. It should be at HKLM\Software\Senforce
Try running the install program for the ZSC with the following command line:
setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1"
If you've specified an uninstall password, try this one instead:
setup.exe /V"STUNINSTALL=1 STUIP=password"" (please note the double quote at the end)

I have some issues with Server.app.
I connect to a server in our local network.
In the Users tab I see only local users of the server, not the network accounts
When I choose "Manage Network Accounts" from the "Manage" Menu, it tells me to configure the server as a network directory, but it is already configured as such.
When I hit "next" and enter account information for the directory admin it tells me that this server is already configured to manage network accounts.
How can I view and mange the network accounts again?

macmartinJust fyi, I was not able to resolve this on my migrated server. Every time when I imported the OD backup from 10.5.8 Server.app couldn't load the user or group list and issues an error message with "error 5000" or something. Check if you have that in your logs, too. If so, Server.app is no longer able to authenticate against the OD. There are several threads regarding this 5000-error, none of them worked for me. Usually this happens when the hostname, IP or something in the OD setup changes and the agreed keys no longer work for authentication. As mentioned, I never managed to get that to work again and had to use a fresh OD and create the users from a list (without pwd). Not very charming.

The Home button on my iPod Touch is very unresponsive. It takes several tries to activate it. While doing so, it responds to one click versus the intended two clicks and vice versa. It is a very frustrating process. Any suggestions? I already tried the "shut off" process that was suggested on the Apple site, but that did not help.

I used the Nik filter collection as a trial version on Elements 12 on MacOS10.9. When the trial was up, the purchased version is not allowed to work. Any suggestions. I've uninstalled everything aand cleaned out all the NIK files from the libraries.
To Mickey: I got the 2 RAR files into one directory, extracted the part1.rar file, and in that new folder there is a file called start.html. I opened this, and followed the links on the right, from "Welcome" to "Getting Started". After all this I had the SAP Management Console, as well as the Database Manager applications created. You will find the specific instructions for setting up the MaxDB under the "Getting Started" link. After setting up the Database Manager you have to start it up with a user-id and password which was created during the set-up, and specifically link the database to the NSP system. I seem to remember that this didn't work at first, because the Database Manager shortcut does not run the program as an administrator. So run it as an administrator! I altered the shortcut's properties under the shortcut/advanced so it will always run the program as an administrator, and haven't had any problems - once you have done the "Add" procedure you may never need to re-visit the database manager.
