I was forced to update windows and restart my computer, now my video player will not play how do i fix this?

on my cable provider website I often watch tv series. I was doing so as normal today and then had to leave the computer to go do something else. When I came back the computer had gone to sleep so I started back up and hit resume play and the video crashed after a few seconds. This has happened before so I restarted the video which as always worked. Didnt work this time so I tried to restart the computer. The restart ran some windows updates and now I am unable to play the same videos I was playing earlier today. The video just keeps saying it is loading or buffering. How do I fix this?

You did not say what programs you are using or how. Go to the web sites
of the '''true owners''' of the video programs and get the full installer.
Do the same for Firefox at '''''Mozilla.com'''''.

click on the Java pane in System Preferences. When the Java Control Panel window opens, click on the Security tab, and set your Security Level to Medium — that will allow “untrusted” applications (i.e. those without certificates from a trusted authority) to run. Press the Apply button in the lower-right corner to confirm the change, then press the OK button to close the window.
Apparently your Yahoo! card games don’t have certificates associated with them, which is why the default security setting of Java SE 7 Update 51 didn’t allow them to run.

go to the itunes store. select more in the bottom right select purchased. then press the cloud icon to DL striaght to the phone. Id use wifi. you can also DL into computer then synv over to phone.

If your speaker is broken, then you may need to get a repair done.
Are you unable to hear anything at all, or is it just one speaker in particular?

You're ignoring context. On the old Apple Discussion Groups I never posted replies like that, instead giving people relatively detailed answers. The new Apple Support Communities made things worse by introducing certain inefficiencies. Then came Lion. The flood of messages that came with Lion required a painful choice for any of the people who had been helping here: (1) Give quality responses to a few questions and ignore the rest. People who needed help with Lion problems seemed to have trouble discovering existing message threads that described how to solve their problems. Unfortunately you got caught up in the minor miracle of Rosetta. Originally licensed by Apple when it migrated from the PowerPC CPU platform that it had used from the mid-1990's until the Intel CPU platform in 2006, Rosetta allowed Mac users to continue to use their library of PPC software transparently in emulation.
However, Apple's license to continue to use this technology expired with new releases of OS X commencing with Lion (and now Mountain Lion). While educational efforts have been made over the last 6 years, the fact is that Rosetta was SO successful that many users were caught unaware UNTIL they upgraded to Lion or Mountain Lion.
Workarounds:
1. If your Mac will support it, restore OS X Snow Leopard;
2. If your Mac will support it, partition your hard drive or add an external hard drive and install Snow Leopard into it and use the "dual-boot" method to choose between your PowerPC software or Lion/Mt. Lion;
3. Upgrade your software to Intel compatible versions if they are available, or find alternative software that will open, modify and save your data files;
3. Install Snow Leopard (with Rosetta) into Parallels:

I can call my ipad with my iphone alll the time. That's how I check up on my kids at home when I"m at work. You just set up to your iphone's facetime setting with your phone number and set up your ipad's facetime settings with your apple id (in this case it's your email)

After this i was able to go to a site with the title "Java Downloads for All Operating Systems" and here you download your JRE for your OS. For XP or Win 7 it was a java 6 update 29-b11. The file to install is named '''jxpiinstall.exe'''. After install an restart you go again to [http://java.com/en/download/help/testvm.xml testvm.xml] and see that the java plugin works fine.... (see the screenshot)...

After rebooting following an update firefox will not open how do I fix this?

I clicked on a firefox update window that led to me rebooting my laptop. After rebooting I cannot get firefox to open no matter what I do.I even uninstalled it then re-installed it. It simply will not open.I click on icon in desktop get the little circle thing for about 10 seconds fans speed up then circle stops and fans go quite and nothing. If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple.

3.6.16 will not start, it will not uninstall and 4.0 will not install, how do I fix this?

I tried to revert to 3.6.16 after uninstalling 4.0 (because it deactivated too many of my add-ons). Now Firefox will not start at all. I'd report the problem to the iTunes Store.
Log in to the Store. Click on "Account" in your Quick Links. When you're in your Account information screen, go down to Purchase History and click "See all".
Find the item that is not playing properly. If you can't see "Report a Problem" next to the item, click the "Report a problem" button. Now click the "Report a Problem" link next to the item.
