I was given the wrong macbook when I gave mine in for repair. I want to complain. Also, they wiped ALL my data off the hard drive. I want to complain to someone in authority. How?

I am extremely disappointed and angry with Apple service. I am a writer and booked three weeks in Spain so that I could finish my book. On the second day my laptop cut out on me asI was working on it, so I took it to Goldenmack in Cadiz. Not only was I given someone else's macbook when I went back to collect it, but then when I returned to the UK, the Apple shop in Brighton managed to delete ALL my data from the hard drive because I was unlucky enough to get a trainee on her first day. I have since learned she should not have deleted my data without even running a diagnostic. She told me she was going to 'restore' the drive. I took this to mean she was going to restore my work. But no! She erased the lot.
I complained and eventually was put in touch with a supervisor, who I was told had authority to resolve the issue. She said she would get the shop to phone me. That was ten days ago and I'm still waiting.
Ok so there's nothing I can do now to get back the three chapters of my book that I have lost and didn't back up, but the hard drive on this laptop is still faulty. I try to back up my work every time I use the machine but as soon as I attach an external drive, the whole thing shuts down. I can't use it any more as I can't risk losing any more work. This laptop is only just over a year old and this is just not acceptable, especially since I have really looked after it.
This is an appalling service I have encountered from Apple, and I am not going to ignore it. I have contacted the young chap whose laptop I was erroneously given, and the repair of which I paid for! (although I did eventually get a refund), to ask him if he had been given mine as well. He said he had been completely unaware that his laptop had been given to me and he is furious as he had loads of "sensitive material" on it." I have no idea in whose hands my laptop has been either, or indeed what damage it sustained while it was supposed to be in for repair.

i just opened my ipad, started my apple account/I.D. and realized I put the wrong e mail. I was having trouble correcting my I.D on the Ipad so I went to my laptop and make the proper changes/slash e mail address I wanted for my apple ID. So, i did what you said.. went to setting>app store> tapped on my e mail.. it asked me to sign in (with my invalid emails address showing). I signed in with the password I had created. It said "incorrect".. I went to reset password. I reset password, tried to sign in and it says again "unvalid password".. this is getting irritating. I have been asking and no one knows what to do.

I was given an old macbook which I've slowly been making my own, however, when I tried signed into iCloud to get my calendar and contacts onto said macbook, all of the previous owner's data merged with mine. I lost all my phone numbers, gained all of his on both macbook & ipad and now I'm not entirely sure what to do. if I sign out of iCloud all his data disappears, my email address remains, but all phone numbers are lost. You can see if they might still be on your Mac, but just not in view by opening Contacts (Address Book), go to View>Groups to display your groups on the left sidebar, then seeing if they might be under On My Mac.
If they aren't, and they aren't in your iCloud account or any of your devices, you may be able to restore them from your iCloud backup (if you have one). Doing this is a bit tricky as you have to pull the internet connection to interrupt the restore process after the contacts are restored, then turn off iCloud contact syncing on the device, then reconnect the internet and finish the restore, delete the existing contacts from iCloud then turn on contacts syncing on the device again. Otherwise, when the restore process completes and your device reconnects to iCloud, the contacts in iCloud will overwrite the restored contacts on the device. If they are still on your Mac under On My Mac, you can select the contacts and save them to a vCard file by going to File>Export>Export vCard. Then email this file to yourself, open it on your iPad and tap the attachment to import them to iCloud.

You would make address lables with the Contacts app.
If you don't have the user name and password used to set up the machine then you need to purchase the apps for yourself.

An icloud account is designed to be used by just one user. If you have given your ID or set up your account on someone else's device, then their data will be mingled with your or worse.

Although all photos in my libraries are rotated to the correct orientation, random pictures still show up in the wrong position when viewed on Apple TV. Any suggestions?

Several of our iPhone users in the UK reported the problem this morning, and as the Apple fan in the office I've got the job of resolving the issue
The original Excel was an old .xls file, but I have saved it as a .xlsx and the problem still appears
I haven't spoken with our developer yet, but I assume he has created the Excel file using some programming tools rather that directly using Excel
In the meantime I have created a simply spreadsheet with 8 cells contain values
In the first 4 cells, I have formatted them using Currency, and have used the currencies USD, DEM, GBP and CHF
In the remaining cells I have formatted them using the Accounting option, using the same currencies
When I review the spreadsheet on the iPhone (or iPad), the first 4 remain the same yet the last four all show the £ symbol
I have now changed the Region Format of the iPhone to United States, and when viewing on the iPhone the bottom 4 values are now all showing the $ sign!
If I had created the spreadsheet I would have put the Currency code in a seperate cell and purely used a numeric format for the number, and there would be no issue. That might be the only solution

Apple Bluetooth keyboard shows the wrong letters when pressed

My apple bluetooth keyboard shows the wrong letters when I write on it. If I press "c", the letter "d" shows on the screen instead. The bottom row of letters mimicks the row just above. I've tried unpairing and paring the keyboard again with my computer and my ipad. Same error. Tried resetting the pram and the smc and it still doesn't work. Changed the batteries in the keyboard and no change. I've removed some plist file (com.apple.BezelService) and its lock file like someone recommended in a youtube video. I've also checked the keyboard settings and can't find anything that seems weird.
Does anyone have a suggestion on how to fix it or do I have to buy a new keyboard?

Before you buy a new one, take it to an Apple store (if one is near you) and have them look at it.

I am sorry to learn that your phone has some water damage smreyn! Liquid damage can cause many different issues, including inability to recognize chargers and accessories. IPod Touch shows the wrong artwork when playing songs

Recently my iPod Touch has just decided to display all the wrong artwork when playing songs. For example I will be listening to Chris Brown and It will be showing a picture of a Jay-Z album. How do I fix this?!
I've read that all you have to do is 'uncheck "display album artwork" in the music preferences section when your iPod is connected and click "apply". Then sync your iPod.'.. however I manually add the songs onto my iPod so I can't uncheck the music option as it's already unchecked!
Please help, my iPod looks so ugly showing the wrong artwork lol
