I was having ios 4.3 and decided to upgrade to ios 5 and in doing so I lost all my apps despite I restored from my earlier back up. The itunes I’ve backed up is different from the itunes I have used to upgrade….. I was wondering if I can get back my apps that were purchased using different apple ID (not mine). Since I am in Ethiopia doesn’t even have the chance to buy it again. I have searched it in my computer/c/user/adminstrator….but couldn’t find it. Anyone p/l help
When I updated my iPhone to IOS 5, I did it from my MB Air, when my iPhone's "home" is my work 27" iMac. I figured I could just download the new OS at home where internet is fast and then sync at office and be done.
WRONG!!! So, like others here, all my apps were "gone."
Following some of what I read above, I did the following and now all my apps that I purchased in the past are downloading to my 27".
In iTunes I went to Purchased, under "Store" in left column of iTunes.
Then at the bottom of the Purchased screen was something like Download all apps, borrom right (sorry, cant see it now, its downloading all of them). Once I hit that, I could see all my apps and it looks like they are all coming back.
Now all I have to do is put them all like I had them before, folders, etc. That will be a pain BUT at least I have all of them.

I have an iphone 5 and just suddenly lost about 60% of my contact list. They just disappeared from my contact list. I also could not add new contacts. Someone told me that it might be because I was using verizon back up assist. I had my phone reset at the store and am now using icloud. I lost all my apps and have had to manually re-enter my contacts. I would like to avoid this happening again. Is it my phone? Can anyone comment. Thank you!

I downloaded iso5 and lost all my apps. I know i can get them back but what about all the documents i have now lost through Pages? And to a lesser extent the levels and scores i got to with my games (eg. angry birds)?
On your iPad tap Settings > Store
Make sure Apps is switched on.
For Documetns tap Settings > iCloud. Make sure Documents & Data ia switched on.
Now resrtart your iPad. Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down until the red slider appears. Slide your finger across the slider to turn off iPhone. To turn iPhone back on, press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears. -

updated my iphone 4 today to new operating system...said error 50 and i lost all my previous data...there is no back up to get my contacts and photos back although it did say it was backing up first before it installed the new operating system but i cant find it anywhere...so frustrated at losing everything

If it's in recovery mode, the data is already gone. Why did you never back up your important data?

ClareAll of your apps should be in iTunes on the computer, simply sync them back.
If they are not, go into the purchase history and download them again. -
When I upgraded my iPhone 4s to IOS7, I lost all my app icons. Where did they go? Interestingly they are still listed in notifications and I could play words with friends when I got a message on the home screen that it was my turn (but still no icon)

I just got an iphone 6. Not all of my music was on itunes, so I logged in and instead of clicking set up as new iphone I hit restore from backup, thinking it only pertained to the music in itunes. Now my new iphone looks just like my old iphone and has iphone 5 settings. How can I undo and get back to iphone 6 settings?

I updated my iOS to 7 yesterday. But my music app doesn't show the 'Radio' button as the online videos and Apple website claims. What could be the reason and how to fix it. All other apps, swipe up/down seem to be working fine.

No. Anything that was created after your last backup will be gone.
