I was in the middle of updating my iPhone 4 and a screen came up that had a picture of a cord with an arrow pointing to an iTunes icon. Does anyone know how to fix my phone?

When I connect to iTunes it says "iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode. You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes". Any ideas?

Be sure to Follow ALL the Steps...
But... if the Device has been Modified... this will Not necessarily work.

Itunes has doubled up the songs on my iPhone but only shows them singly within iTunes. Does anyone know how to fix this?

My iPhone lists every song (songs that I have imported from cd's, but not purchased through iTunes) twice. iTunes only shows 1 instance of each song. If I delete a doubled up entry from the phone, it deletes the whole song. Has anyone else run into this problem?

This is kind of confusing, on the one hand you say "it says all images are there" and then you directly contradict this by saying "it is only showing 1 card's images at a time".
Could you explain in a lot more detail what you see (and don't say "it", say exactly what part of Lightroom or what part of your operating system you are looking at), or show us a screen capture?

I updated today to the 5.0.1 and now when I try to sync to ITunes, it doesn't recognize my phone and an error message comes up saying that "This iPhone cannot be used because the Apple Mobile Device service is not started.' My phone advises callers I am unavailable and when I try to make calls it takes ages whilst it tries to connect then disabled itself and says call failed. 1 - enable the Debug menu in App Store:
open the Terminal application.
copy the command below and paste into the Terminal window:
defaults write com.apple.appstore ShowDebugMenu -bool true
followed by Enter.
launch App Store, login.
2 - select the Debug ➙ Reset Application option:
3 - try again.

After contacting Apple, I received a reply from their engineers:
Copy QTMovieWin.dll from: C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support
to: C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes
And that did the trick.

Try restarting your iPhone by holding down the on/off and the home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, double check the volume button just in case. If you still can't hear the tones go into your settings>sounds and make sure the options are on.

i figured out a solution if anyone is having the same problem
go to preferences in mail
pick the mail account that is not sending
if your outgoing mail server states it offline as mine did
click the dropdown and than click edit smtp
a window will come up that says account information and advanced
click advanced
renter your password and ok
restart your computer - when it restarts it will send emails
