For network access plugins, I suggest checking with your employer's IT personnel. They probably have tested this and can let you know whether there is a solution or you should downgrade.
You can have Firefox ask you before installing updates. To manage your automatic upgrade settings, go here:
orange Firefox button > Options > Advanced > "Update" mini-tab

Hi. I am really frustrated with Apple support. After two hours of trying to navigate their support site, I finally gave up. I really hope someone here will be kind enough to help me find a solution to my problem.
My iTunes always launched with my account, my library, etc. present. Now it launches in a generic form with none of my information present. It also has no "sign in" area so I can get to my data. I'm not sure what happened, can anyone help?

JoeI've not noticed this but haven't looked for it either - I suspect you are seeing 'normal' behaviour for AppleTV 2/3 - in other words it's ignoring the iTunes flags.
With AppleTV 1 I used to set playback start/end times using Get Info in iTunes for certain self-indulgent music videos I'd bought which had several minutes of 'acting dialogue' you'd only endure once - this allowedme to shuffle music videos with only the song part of the video being played not all the waffle before the song started. AppleTV 2 and 3 ignore this setting.
Also, with AppleTV1 if you unticked the check box next to stuff you never wanted to stream AppleTV would behave as expected and not display it at all - useful for preventing non-family friendly material from streaming in the first place or excluding seasonal material and do forth. AppleTV 2/3 completely ignore the checkboxes on iTunes ans stream everything though you can of course enable parental controls.
Hard to know if it's the AppleTV's ignoring the info or iTunes not sending it to them in the first place.

I have a lot of books on my Kindle/Amazon account. I have downloaded the Kindle app onto my IPAD mini by can only access my books when connected to WIFI, how can I read them off-line?
Yes, you've missed the download step.
Open the Kindle app and navigate to your Library. There is a tab at the bottom that says Cloud | Device. Tap the Cloud tab and tap the books you want to download to the device. You will see a progress indicator during the download. Once it's done, read away! -
Computer is an HP Envy 17 laptop. Firefox does not appear on Task Manager list of processes or applications. System restore did not fix problem. Google Chrome works ok. Internet Explorer works ok until I try to download Firefox. Then it too crashes. This pc has been running Firefox fine since I purchased it 10 months ago. I upgraded FF3 to 4 then to 5 with no problems. Suddenly yesterday it stopped working. There is no error message and evidently FF does not launch because there is no listing of Firefox in Task Manager processes or applications. I tried uninstalling Firefox, then tried to download it usingInternet Explorer, but when I click on the download button at the Mozilla site, Internet Explorer crashes. I did a system restore to 8/16/11 when Firefox was still working. This restored the program but it still does not run. Google Chrome seems to run fine. My internet access is via wifi through an Actiontec router and Verizon Fios. I am running Symantec Endpoint virus protection and do not have any Norton or Skype programs listed in Control Panel. My pc is set for automatic updates from Microsoft and from HP. They both say my software is up to date. Is there a fix for this problem or is it a sinister plot by Microsoft to force us to use Internet Explorer?

Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can reset the questions; nobody on these boards can.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I have read so many comments about Flash being incompatible with Lion I was wondering whether to download it or not. So many sites on the Web still require flash, however, you almost don't have a choice but to download it even if it is incompatible. I gather a better version of Flash will be available for Lion soon. Again, thanks for the help. I will download the latest version of Flash.

The following may help you understand about deleting photos from a library:
Deleting Photos from an iPhoto Library:
1 - from an Event or the Photos mode: select the photo(s) and use the Delete key to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the iPhoto Trash bin as follows:
2 - from an album, smart album, book, slideshow, card, etc.: select the photo(s) and use the key combination of Command+Option+Delete to move the photos to the trash bin. Then empty the trash bin as above.
NOTE: deleting a photo from an album, slideshow, book, etc., with only the Delete key only deletes that photo from that item. Deleting a photo from an Event deletes ALL occurences of that photo in the library.

Even when I move the screen far to the right as I can, there is at least a pixal or two that I can drag to the left.
Are you wanting to auto center the screen. You would need to use AppleScript to do this.
How are you trying to move the screen to the center? Any, why does this fail you?

When I try to pull up hotmail, a screen comes up that it cannot find server. I also have gmail and I have no problems with that.
I have the same problem...Hotmail say to optimize the browser you use, so we need to know how to optimise FF 3.5.13 please..

I don't seem to be able to put a screenshot in this message but the screen is basically mostly black. I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling Firefox but to no avail. It suddenly started doing this last week. Is there something I can do to put it right? I am running it from a 64bit Dell laptop if that's any help?

You can try to disable hardware acceleration in Firefox.
*Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
You need to close and restart Firefox after toggling this setting.

You need to use a product such as ScreenRecycler to do that. All of those products work over a network connection; direct video in isn't available on an iMac G5.

I have an Intel iMac running OSX 10.6.8. I would like to use Final Cut Pro 10.1. I know I need OSX 10.9 for this. Can I run both 10.6.8 and 10.9 on the iMac ? I do not want to convert completely to 10.9 because of my existing software. Thanks for any help
It would depend on how old your IMac is, how mush memory you have, it it can be upgraded by OWC, etc. I have a 2006 Macbook Pro and would NOT put Mavericks on it or espeacially FCP 10.1.1 on it because the most memory it can have is 4 GB. You need at least 8 GB to work with Final Cut Pro 10.1.1. IMHO.
I would try to find a copy of Final Cut Express perhaps.
