I was planning to buy Iphone 4 32gb Japan locked here in Philippines

I was planning to buy Iphone 4 32gb Japan locked here in Philippines.
Question is:
1. Can I still download apps from appstore?
2. Can I sync my IP to my desktop(ITunes) so I can add pictures/vids/songs?
3. What are the restrictions of a locked IP?
I just want to use it like ITouch.

You can also do all that with iPod touch.
You have been warned, so it's up to you to decide. Good luck.

  • Planning to buy iPhone 4 in UK... any way to use in US?

I'm planning to buy an iPhone 4 in the UK, but will be spending 6 months in the US next year on business. Will there be any way to get a US sim card when I arrive in the States, and swap the UK sim card out? And if I do this, would I be locked in to a long contract?
Sorry, I'm a total novice on this as you've already guessed Thanks for your advice.

Actually AT&T do have prepaid. However unless you bought an unlocked phone you would be stuck with roaming and other SIM cards will not work. The iPhone4 has a micro SIM which may be a problem for the prepaid plans - i dont know if AT&T have a deal with a micro. BTW - you may need to buy a phone and pull its SIM to use prepaid. Thats what I did for my parents visiting from Australia. Its like $50 and you get $40 worth of calls / DATA that you can recharge. DATA plans are quite reasonable also. No contract required

  • I'm planning to buy iphone 5s in Hong Kong. Can I use this phone in Estonia?

Can I use iPhone 5s from Hong Kong in Estonia?

If you purchase an unlocked phone in Hong Kong, it should work, although since it is not from your country, it is possible that not all features will work.

  • I am planning to buy iphone 5 but confused on its mail management. Where can i get more information on it? I am currently a blackberry user.

I am not sure how iphone would handle the mail traffic. I understand that once you open the outlook, all mails goes out of your hand phone. My worry is then how to refer the past mails while not in front of the machine and outlook? I am currently using Blackberry which is excellent on mail management and hence this worry before I make a switch.

    Read the User's Guide.
If you actually set up the email account instead of simply syncing via Outlook on the computer then your concerns listed above are irrelevant.

  • I reside in india and im planning to buy iphone 6 from portugal. i wanted to know would the device have an international warranty available in my country or i would have to send it all the way back? thank you

asking about international warranty on iphone 6

I disagree with the other people who have commented. I have purchased several iPhones in US over the past years. I spend part of the year in Europe and I have had both iPhone 4 and iPhone 4s (purchased in USA) repaired in Germany. I have also had a faulty 4s purchased in Germany replaced under AppleCare in US because of technical problems. The only country I am aware that has country only warranty is Hong Kong. To be absolutely certain, I suggest you read the Apple warranty clauses as that clearly defines Apple International Warranty Policy. I would also recommend purchasing AppleCare. Hope this helps.

  • I am planning on buying an unlocked iPhone 5 with a T-Mobile Nano Sim. I have a few questions.

I was planning on buying a 32GB unlocked iPhone 5 with the T-Mobile Nano Sim. I was going to activate the Sim with T-Mobile's prepaid $30 unltd text/data with 100 minutes plan. I've read some stories online where people were only able to use the Sim with T-Mobile's post-paid plans. Will the Sim that comes included work with prepaid and post-paid plans?
Also, assuming that it does work with prepaid, what steps would I need to go through to activate the iPhone?
Assuming that it doesn't, would cutting down a prepaid Micro Sim from T-Mobile to Nano Sim size work normally?
    Thank you in advance!

Yes. The T-Mobile nanoSIM which came with the  full price, unlocked iPhone 5 will work for a prepaid plan. However, neither Apple retail store employees nor the T-Mobile customer svc reps know this. It was quite an ordeal to activate. I had to order the prepaid activation kit online, wait for its arrival by snail mail, then use the activation code from the kit with the nanoSIM to activate the prepaid monthly plan $30/mon for 100 min+ unlim text + 5 GB 4G/LTE. I live in Pasadena, CA, and the 4G and LTE coverage here is extensive and reliable.
I tossed the SIM which came with the activation kit.
My local T-Mobile retail store wouldn't sell me a prepaid activation kit when I told them that I wanted the web-only $30/mon plan. The customer svc reps couldn't or wouldn't give me an activation code to use either.

  • Planning on buying a Mac Pro

Hi, I'm planning on buying a Mac Pro 3Ghz in the near future and had a few questions before I buy it.
I plan on using the computer mainly for games but I want to have it for a long time and be able to handle whatever I throw at it (games and otherwise). I had a iMac G3 300Mhz for about 5 years and been useing a iMac 2Ghz more recently, both of which I have been very pleased with but I know a regular tower has alot more options and complications too.
At first I was planning on buying all my RAM from Apple and just getting the monitor seperate (since they seem pretty overpriced), on futher research I found that the 2GB RAM I was going to get at first is really a min. amount for the system and 4GB much better for getting full performance from the computer. Now from Apple the price difference from 2BG to 4GB is $800, not cheap.
So my first question is where can I find memory thats not so expensive? and what are the good brands to buy?
I also found out that the hard drives that apple uses aren't that good. Was going to get the 250GB HD but I probly don't need that much and can always add more so size isn't a big factor.
So what brand has good hard drives and where would be the best place to buy it?
I'm now planning on getting the computer with the min. HD and RAM and upgrading from there but I also want to be able to put in all the upgrades right away and not have to worry about adding more for awhile.
Last is the monitor but that doesn't concern me as much as the main computer. I want to get atleast a 20", any suggestions you have would be appreciated.
Thanks for taking the time to read my post.

Last fall Intel customers that run heavy servers were clamoring for Intel to get new chips out the door. Servers are often optimized for multi-cpu/cores, and the new chips run cooler, take less power to run, AND less power to cool. The costs of running a server farm makes any reduction in cost important today. Plus, even though they are clocked slower, are somewhat more efficient (improved and more mature?) that and stability are often what drives servers, not the hottest (figuratively and literally) cpus and systems.
So even if/when Intel does start shipping, and tested/qualified for OEMs they may not have any "left over" for awhile for desktop. And it could be they might even end up in Apple Xserves rather than MacPro.
Given that it took until November (late) for Apple to use Xeon in Xserve I almost wondered if it takes longer and more testing (and revising version of server) or if Apple might be hoping to delay and see if Intel could supply the new 53xx chip (would they use single quad-core or two? or have both configurations?).
Often it does take a "patched" or revised OS to deal with any new hardware as well (10.4.9? 10.5.1? something in-between?).
Anyone whose work is really cpu bound on G5 Quad or Mac Pro will probably be first off the line for these, as they were for the other two systems.

  • Planning to buy an Asha 503. Any feedback?

if was planning to buy 503.is it good

The Nokia Asha 503 is on sale in some markets already and you might make a bargain. However, I do not know for whom this model was made for, especially when I compare it to Nokia 700 (Symbian), Nokia 311 (Nokia Series 40), and Nokia Lumia 720 (Windows Phone) available on second-hand market – just look at the screen resolution. I guess you ask, because Google Android is no option. Is a Mozilla Firefox OS v1.3 device available in your country?

  • Can I used an unlocked iPhone 5S from US here in the Philippines?

I was planning to buy an iPhone 5S in US anf bring it here in our country (Philippines) so I was asking if I can used it with our carrier.

It can be used on GSM networks, but not on LTE because the Asian bands are different from the North American bands.
Note also that if it needs service it will have to be returned to the US, because service and warranty are only provided in the country where the phone was purchased.
You would be better off getting a phone locally.

    Afraid not
AppleCare + is only available in the Country of purchase of an  iPhone and is only valid in that Country
Under AppleCare+ for iPhone and AppleCare+ for iPad, hardware service and ADH coverage may be restricted to the country or jurisdiction where the Covered Device was originally purchased.
    and they do restrict

  • Hi, I am planning to buy an MBA with 256 GB flash storage. I was wondering if external hdd's will be compatible with it?

Hi, I am planning to buy an MBA with 256 GB flash storage. I was wondering if external hdd's will be compatible with it?

Yes, any HDD will work, but as stated above, you should probably go for a more portable unit.  My personal preference is for units that are powered by the USB or Thunderbolt connection, so I don't have to worry about a power cord.
    I'm using a G-Tech 500GB Slim Drive for $90.  They also make a 1 TB model for $150.
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/H9996VC/A/g-tech-1tb-g-drive-usb-30-mobile-har d-drive?fnode=5f
It's about the size of a paperback book, and the thickness of an iPhone.  Great for travel if you want to back up photos!  Team it up with a 12 inch USB cord and you'll be set.
