I was prompted to download 4.0 but I keep getting an error msg: ... cannot open because it is not supported on this architecture. Downloaded it again. Same problem. I'm on a Mac.
Why I do the downlaod the firefox icon comes up with a big white circle that has a line thru it.

I downloaded Firefox 4 onto my PowerPC G4, 1.67GHz running Mac OSX 10.5.6. When I try to open it I get error message You cannot open the application “Firefox” because it is not supported on this architecture.Use Tony's suggestion. I am running it right now and it is awesome. I love Mozilla but they basically screwed all of those older Macs over. Come on Mozilla. These Macs still work, and there are plenty of people with them out there.

OK, but if you do want to try iTunes, you just hook up your iPhone to your PC or Mac like you were going to sync it, and it will tell you that there is an update for your phone when you initiate the sync.

I'm trying to purchase and download a movie, but I keep getting message error that I have no space. The error states that I must delete some photos or videos in order to download. I've gone to iPod then edit and deleted some videos, but I'm still getting the message. What is the correct way to delete the videos and should they still be there.
They wont still be there if you delete them,but if you have those same photos on the main computer.

Been using Firefox (many years) version 3.16.. Received invitation to download Firefox version 4 for Mac this morning and did so (regretably losing 3.16 version) because now the new version 4 won't open. My computer is not allowing me to utilize any version of Firefox, after multiple downloading attempts. I always update to your newest Firefox configuration and did so when I was asked to upgrade to "Firefox 4" for the Mac. When I tried to access my account I receive the above message. I dumped the upgrade which wiped my Mac clean of all my bookmarks and again downloaded Firefox 4 but with the same result. Tried to switch to Safari but this too was unsatisfactory. I'm guessing I need to return to a previous Firefox upgrade and never again try and upgrade. How do I do this?

Firefox versions after 3.6 no longer run on the PPC processor. You can only update to the latest 3.6 release (3.6.23 at the moment)

I have erased everything buit that didn't work, I have tried to reinstall from the apple disk so...I am thinking it is time for a new hard drive( I think, but not sure) where do I get one and if I sdo will it help the problem?

1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the Erase tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.
5. Select your Mac OS X volume.
6. Highlight the drive, select Partition Tab, then Format type... MacOS Extended Journalled, select the Security Options button, choose Zero Out Data, Erase... after completion hopefully you'll be able to install.
