    Try:
    - iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    - If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
    - If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

  • I turned my Ipad off and when I tried to turn it back on, only the apple displays and it will not go past that.  What can I do to get it to come back on?  It won't acknowledge it when I plug it in either.

    Hello bigboza,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information, take a look at:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts3281
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on), reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let it charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged. Learn more about charging iPhone and iPod touch, or iPad.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more aboutrestoring iOS software.
    Have a nice day,

  • Ipod wont sync and now wont even show up on itunes

I recently got the new iMac and tried to upload music onto my old ipod. when i plugged it into the USB drive i chose to "erase and sync"and it erased all of my music off of the ipod and then was unable to load anything. I then plugged the ipod back into the computer and it shows up in the finder but not itunes.
I have the latest version of itunes (9.2) and my itouch can download just fine.
my ipod is the classic 160 GB and it isn't that old (about 3 years). I'm not really sure what to do so if you could help me out that would be great! Thanks!

    Hello bluebubbles4bees,
    And welcome to Apple Discussions!
Have you tried resetting the iPod with it still connected to your Mac? To do this, toggle the hold switch on and off, then press and hold the Center and Menu buttons together until the Apple logo appears. Does that do any good?
If not, perhaps take a look at this Apple support document.

  • Tried to restore my iPod touch, it now shows the 'connect to itunes' graphic on the screen but nothing happens when I do

I basically restored my iPod to start my music collection from scratch because I got a new PC.
I plugged the 32gb iPod touch into my PC and the USB connection sound went on to indicate that it is connected to the PC but the 'Connect To iTunes' graphic is on, even when it is connected to the PC and iTunes is open it doesn't show any devices connected. After a while the iPod shuts itself off, and when I turn it on again the same thing happens. Graphic. Not found in iTunes. Turns off. I think but I can't remember if I updated the iPod's operating system prior to the restore (this all happened 2 weeks ago).
I'm not sure of the model/generation of the iPod. I got it brand new for Christmas of 2009 in Australia.
    Any help would be appreciated!

  • I Accidently  restore my ipod touch..Now all of my pictures are gone ..What Can i do?

Is It Possible To Get My Pics Back?

    - What is the source of the photos? If they were taken by or saved to the iPod then they may be in the backup of the iPod. Go to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and look at the date of the backup. If by date the photos are in the backup, restore from backup. Make sure that you turn off autosyncing (Check the box in iTunes>Preferences>Devices that says "Prevent iPOds...syncing". otherwise when yu connec tthe iPod to the computer the old backup will be overwrittn by the new backup.
    - Otherwise you ae our of luck. If they were synced you have to go to where they were synced from.
