I was stolen an ipad, could I lock it forever via lost mode

My ipad was stollen few days ago, I had put it on lost mode and the ipad was registered with it serial number under my Apple ID.
Is it possible to lock the ipad permanently, means the user would not able to reactiviate it or reset with factory reset?
Sincere,
Minh Le

A month ago my iPhone was stolen, I turned on Activation Lock but it never came out BUT an hour ago somehow my apple ID was changed and someone removed from the account both my iPhone and iPad and the iPad was also remotely wiped. As soon as I saw it I recover the password and return the access to my iPad. But iPhone is not registered for my apple ID any longer. Can Apple help me somehow? I have all the documents and the iPhone box. Will they lock the iPhone and return me access to it. I'm sure it's been attached to another apple ID.
PS. the apple ID I'm using on the discussons is not the hacked one.

Try contacting the Apple account security team and ask: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699.

if you want to erase all data in the phone do this
If the phone is connected to the Internet and contains your account you can erase the phone by
1 Going to ( www.icloud.com) and sign in With your account (the account you use in the stolen phone)
2 go to Find My iPhone
3 if the phone connected to internet you will see the phone on the map

  • My Ipad was stolen and I want to access my photos via Icloud...

My Ipad was stolen recently and I want to access my photos that I had on there. I assumed I could somehow retrieve them from icloud but this doesnt seem to be the case? Does anyone know how I can get back the photos I lost?

If you haven't been automatically importing them to iPhoto or Aperture on a Mac, as mentioned by Allen, you would have to recover them by restoring your iPad backup to a replacement iPad.  This will include your camera roll photos.  If the backup is an iCloud backup, Apple will delete it after 180 days of inactivity so be sure to do this befor then.

  • My iphone was stolen recently. Can the lock code be overidden?

Im just curious if my phone could be unlockd by the thief who stole it? I ahd a passcode activated and Im concerned that they can unlock and have access to my email etc
    Anyone can help me here?

Go to www.icloud.com.  Log in with your Apple ID & password.  Then you can see if you actually did enable FMiP.
If you did not, then Activation Lock will not be enabled, and if they restore the iPhone as new via iTunes, nothing prevents it from being used.  Your data will be wiped off the device, but they could still use it.
However, if you contact your wireless carrier and report it stolen, they can 'blacklist' the IMEI, which should prevent it from being activated on their network.

  • Good morning, I had an ipo classic and was stolen, is to locate or lock the phone? the number of the serial is YM******YXT

    <Title edited by host>

You indicate it was an "iPod Classic", yet refer to it as a phone. iPod Classics are music players only; not phones. You also indicate an "iPod Nano", yet again, you say "iPod Classic".
In either case: if it is a Nano or a true Classic, you can't locate or lock it remotely, as there is no wireless connections. You might be able to register the serial number somewhere in case it ever shows up.
If you actually have something that communicates wirelessly, like an iPod Touch or an iPhone, you can probably lock it remotely -- I've heard there are apps for that. Having only a real Classic, I don't know for sure.

  • My iPod was stolen yesterday what could I do

What do I do plz help me

    lost/stolen
No app on the iPod is required.
    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected, on a computer browser go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it unless you had iOS 7 on the device. With iOS 7, one has to enter the Apple ID and password to restore the device.
    - Apple will do nothing without a court order

  • HT201272 why do I need to be on my original computer to re-download songs when that computer was stolen.  So what they are saying is I lost all that money I by using iTunes to buy music?

Is there any way to get the songs back or do I have to now respend the money?  Would it not be better to stop using iTUnes and just buy the CD and down load it to my computer?

Then you are looking in the wrong place....
Do you have the Show Sidebar turned on? If not, then go to View at the top, and click on Show Sidebar.
Now, on the sidebar click on iTunes STORE (you must be in the store to do this - not in the Library)
Once you are in the Store, you want to click on Music to go to the Music Store. On the right-hand side, you will see the Quick Links section. This is where you want to click on Purchased.
Once you do that, this is what you will see:
You want to make sure that "All" is selected in the upper right, and then you want to click on All Songs in the list. This is similar to what you will then see:
You can then select any that have clouds next to them, or you can select Download All in the lower right-hand corner.
    Hope this helps!

  • My ipad was stolen. how to block this stolen ipad by using serial number?

my ipad was stolen. how to block this stolen ipad by using serial number?

You can't. If you had set up MobileMe / Find My iPad on it before it was stolen then you could try locating it either via me.com on a computer or Find My iPhone / Find My iPad on a another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or MobileMe disabled on it.
Apart from that you should report it to the police, and as a safety precaution you should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

  • My ipad was stolen a few months ago just getting around to it  i have my serial number and my receipt to when and where i bought it how can i track it

need to know how to track it and find where its been

    You can't.
Well, if you had a .Mac account and enabled the "Find my iPhone" functions before it was stolen, maybe you could (I'm not sure how that all worked).
With a serial number and reciept, you can't track it.
    You reported it stolen, right?

  • TS4006 My daughters ipod was stolen.

My daughters ipod was stolen last week. We locked it and earlier this evening it was listed on my icloud account. Now it states that there are no devices linked to my  account. Why would this happen?

    - If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.
    - You can also wipe/erase the iPod and have the iPod play a sound via iCloud.
    - If not shown, then you will have to use the old fashioned way, like if you lost a wallet or purse.
    - Change the passwords for all accounts used on the iPod and report to police. The police will only likely contact if they just happen to find it. I wouod not expect them to actively look.
    - There is no way to prevent someone from restoring the iPod (it erases it) using it.

  • My iPod got lost and was stolen by this lady I've should have done something but now I'm tracking it but its offline and has low battery and the icloud is not set up. someone please help I'm so shocked that this happened and I still keep remembering it.

Someone tell me what to do
    Find my iPhone isn't helping
My iPod battery is dead and its offline. And it's with a lock and its in lost mode
Please help me I'm freaking out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi Juan,
Sorry for your troubles. If you did not have iCloud set up and Find My iPhone turned on, then you cannot track the phone.
    Report it to the police
    Change your AppleID password
Contact your carrier to see if they can block it
That's about all you can do....
    Sorry,
