If you activated Find My iPhone (in Settings>icloud), and if the device's batteries still have a charge, the device is not turned off and has not been reset and is connected to wifi, then you can try to track it. Using a computer, log into icloud.com and look at the Find My iPhone page. On a device, invoke the Find My iPhone app (get it for free at the itunes app store) and log into the icloud account.
If it is offline, then one of the requirements listed above is not met (like being connected to wifi, or if the device was stolen and the thief reset it).

I'm sorry to hear about your phone! I understand the need for an active device. You are able to activate an old device and process an insurance claim for your iPhone 4s within 60days from the incident date. Keep in mind if the old phone is not a smartphone and you currently have unlimited data that feature will fall off. If you have a tier data plan no changes will be made. iphone4s has water damage but the has power but no network or blue tooth or wi fi is NOT working, how can get my data from the water damaged phone.
Looks like the Wifi and network antenna has been damaged by the water. It is a hardware problem and can only be fixed by the professionals.

If your music and books all came from iTunes you can download it again without charge. If you had maintained an iCloud backup of your phone you can restore that backup and get all of your content back.

You can't, if the photos are in photostream you need a compatible device, if they are in a backup, you can only use the backup to restore to a new device. -

It is kinda complicated. It's an app from appstore. it won't download fully. There's just an incomplete grey app on my screen now that i cannot get rid of.
I'Ve tried to redownload the app but it wont finnish. I have done about five reboots but the "grey app" will not disappear. It is markt with the "x" in the upper lefye corner. And yes, i can erase other apps. I will be happy if someone can help me. -
Why in the heck can I not download an HD video if my monitor isn't capable of displaying the movie. My iPhone can and will be downloaded to the phone. So why stop me from downloading the movie? Have I lost this freedom to download HD?
Never mind. I bought the movie through my 4S phone.

If you've already deleted the files and emptied the Trash they are already, in effect, erased. At least the disk space they occupied is now available.
To be able to offer help we need more information about which Mac you have, which OS you are running, how much RAM you have installed, how much hard disk space you have available, etc.
Go to the Apple Menu>About this Mac - copy and paste the contents of the report here (deleting the serial number of your machine). Once we have that info, I'm sure someone will have some suggestions. -
I'm worried about what will happen if I delete my recent backup data from the phone I still own? Will I lose any progress in games that was saved in the backup?

It won't do anything to the data on your phone or in your iCloud account. If you don't need to backup you can delete it. (If you no longer want to back up your phone to iCloud, turn iCloud backup off in Settings>iCloud>Backup. Then your phone will back up to your computer each time you sync it with iTunes.)

Ok, so I want to buy the new iPod touch 5g this week and I have an iPhone 4. I want to transfer all the data from the iPhone to the iPod and have the files the exact same. I don't want to redo data, say erase game data (campaigns, achievements)... I have apps that have very important data on them and if I sync it to iTunes and then transfer all that data to the iPod Touch 5g, will that erase app data?

thanxI am not all that tech savy but I am trying ot understand what you are saying. I have a similar problem. After IOS5 update my address book is gone. What do you mean synch with outlook, windows yahoo, google? I have created all of my contatcs directly on the iphone and do not use those other addressbooks you are referring to. Yes I haev email but I do not email all the contatcs I had in my phone book on my phone nor do I need them there. When i save a new contacts it automatically gets assigned a photo from the old address book in alphabetical order. Those pics are not saved in my camera roll. Leads me to believe the address book is somewhere. This should not be this difficult.... takes a long time to compile these address books.

My @me emails don't push and I can't send @me mails from the phone
Hi all, for the at least the fourth time since I've had it my 3G iphone has stopped receiving push mobile me emails.
I also can't send emails out from the @me address on the phone (although I can do perfectly from my MBP)
Is this a common problem? is ther any fool proof way of fixing it? Are there any settings I should double check?
The account was set up by my mac when I first synced it to the phone, I have reset all the mail account settings using the tick box in itunes.
Any help appreciated!
CheersSending has never been a problem with my MM account, which is a former .Mac account that I accessed with my first generation iPhone for over a year and for the last 6 months with my iPhone 3G. I prefer not accessing my MM account via push for email - automatically fetching every 30 minutes is fine with me as there is never any email sent to me so important that I need to be notified and the message delivered as soon as the message is recieved at the incoming mail server, so I can't comment on push access not working properly.
I suggest deleting and manually recreating the account with the iPhone's mail client - disable including the account settings being transferred to your iPhone via the iTunes sync process followed by deleting and manually re-creating the account with the iPhone's mail client.
