I was taking pictures on my iPad and all of a sudden these single verticle and horizonital white line showed up on my pictures that connected in a little white box.  How did it get there and how do I get rid of it?

I was taking pictures on my iPad and all of a sudden these single white horizonital and vertical lines appeared on my photo off center connected to a little white box.  How did they get there and how do I get rid of them.

Sounds like you have the Grid turned on. Tap Options and turn off Grid.
The grid is used to assist in composing a photo using "the rule of thirds". Rather than centering your subject line the subject up on a line or intersection of the line for a more pleasing photo. Landscape photos can also look better by aligning the horizon with one of the horizontal lines
