you can do a Google search for "anti-virus" and "mac" and see what you come up with. I think Norton now makes a program for mac with anti-trogan and anti-rootkit detection, and hopefully it'll get better with more time and more complaints
As laverne's mom said, Norton's should never be installed on any Mac - period. I would not let it within 10 feet of my machines. It creates so many problems, it should be considered malware. If you must install AV software, try ClamXAV; it is free. However, there are no viruses for Mac; the current problem is a trojan and if due diligence is observed, there is no problem.

Received a email from Apple stating that my Apple ID was used for a purchase not on my device. It had a link to cancel purchase but asked for my email and password which I gave then it wanted my credit card info! I didn't give that,what should I do? Do you think this is just a way to get my credit card information?
It sounds like a phishing email. You can't "cancel" purchases. You've now given them your AppleID and password, so you should immediately change your password to something new and very secure.
Also watch out for suspicicious activity on your account. -

I went to iTunes>Store. I swear 'view my account' doesn't exist, but i did see 'account'. The drop down menu only listed options to do with orders. No mention of purchases.
I then rang the local apple store and an 'Applette' guided me through the apple website so I could report my problem. Even then, we encountered a button that was invisible to me. It only showed itself in the 'mouse-over' state as my cursor changed into the pointing hand. Sheesh!! Such is my luck.
Anyway, the 'Applette' agreed that it was suspicious that I hadn't received an emailed invoice for any of the contentious purchases. I may well have been hacked. The problem has not been solved but it has been reported.

iTunes: I just redeemed a gift card in iTunes and then rented a movie. I want it charged to the gift card but think that it was charged to my credit card. How do I ensure the charges are against the gift card?

You need to set up an Apple ID for use with the iTunes Store before you can redeem anything in the iTunes Store. You don’t need to enter credit card information to redeem only the amount of a gift certificate or card.

I have songs on my iPhone 6 that I can't remove and when I plug into iTunes and go to "Summary" and "On This Device" the songs don't show up but they are on my phone. How do I remove them? Not even sure how they got on actually since I have a iTouch and keep all my music there. HELP!!
Have you tried deleting the songs from Settings?
Settings -> General -> Usage -> Manage Storage (not the iCloud link!) -> Music and then click Edit to enable you to be able to delete. -

Nonesense, why would a service that offers redeemable cards as cash would require a credit card verification. Who is answering this question? I am sick of Apple! Most of the people on these forums, including myself, are fellow users - you're not talking to iTunes Support here.
Did you follow the instructions on that page exactly when creating the account (the instructions won't work with existing accounts) ? e.g. if doing it on your phone and you are currently logged into an account then log out of it, find a free app in the app store app, tap on its free price button, tap 'install app', and then tap on 'create new apple id' on the popup that you get. I tried those instructions on my phone a few days ago in response to another thread and I got the 'none' option on the payments screen. -

If you have a Mac (don't know about Windows), you can disable automatic syncing in iTunes > Preferences > Devices:
That way, you can manually do it by plugging in the device and launching iTunes.
