I was trying to convert a PDF to word but I cannot sign in to my account
I am not able to convert PDF file at this time. It's asking me to sign in but when I sign in, its saying invalid email address of password.
Hi lydc,
I was able to find an active account for you using the email address that you've used here in the forums. So, you may just need to reset your password. Here are the instructions for that: Adobe ID, sign in, and account help
Please let us know how it goes.
Best,
Sara

I am trying to convert a pdf to word but it fails and asks me to purchase adobe export
The file you are trying to access could not be found. The file may have been deleted or moved in another session. I keep getting this error message although I can open the pdf file
Hi asjoseph,
It sounds like you're reporting two different problems--is that correct? One, that you're unable to convert using ExportPDF, and another that you're trying to open or convert PDF? Is that correct?
For the first issue, make sure that you're signed in to the ExportPDF service. You can log in directly at cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf.
For the second part of your question, please tell me a bit more about where that error is occurring, and what steps you're taking before the error appears.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

Hi dougtimberlake,
We may need a little more information to go on to address the issue you're facing. Are you using ExportPDF to convert the PDF file--and from within Reader or directly via the ExportPDF website? It would also be very helpful to know the exact error message that you're receiving, and whether it happens with all the files that you try to convert, or just some. Please write back and provide a few specifics. In the meantime, please try the following:
Clear your browser cache (steps to do this vary by browser)
Check with your IT team to confirm if you have firewall/proxy settings that restrict the ability to upload files to the internet.
If the issue persists after the steps above, please try another web browser. A list of supported browsers for accessing the ExportPDF service is available here: http://www.adobe.com/acom/systemreqs/
I look forward to hearing back from you.

I am trying to export a pdf to word but the document keeps "loading " for a long period of time and won't complete?
Hi Jennee,
You're using the Save As > Microsoft Word command in Acrobat (and what version are you using)? At what point does the status bar in the lower-right corner hang up (Pre-processing, Recontructing, and so on)? What type of content is there in the PDF, and how large is it? Are you having Acrobat run OCR on the file as it converts (you can check this by clicking Settings in the Save As dialog box)? Do you have trouble saving other PDF files as Word documents?
A lot of questions, I know. But I need to know a bit more about the document to determine why it's hanging up on export.
Thanks

I go to Export File to a Word document. I get an error message "Save As failed to process this document. No file was created".
To go from PDF to Word...
If you go to File>Properties, check to see if your PDF is tagged. This gives the PDF structure and makes export much more reliable.
If the PDF is really too large, you can try the optimizer to cut it down. File>Save As Other>Optimized PDF, or split the file up. -

I keep getting a conversion failure when I try to convert from a PDF into word. Does anyone have any suggestions?
To use the online service you must upload the file to the service's web site after sign in to your account.
The ExportPDF and the PDF Pack Services provide for PDF to Word / Excel.
Each has its own dedicated user-2-user forum where you'll want to browse and ask questions.
For ExportPDF:

For PDF Pack:

Edit document that was converted from PDF to Word Doc.
How do I edit a document that I converted from a PDF to a word document????? When I open my now "Word Document" it does not allow me to edit the text.
Bill, The PDF came from a scanning of a Word document, but my office did not produce the PDF and I don't know exactly how the original Word document was scanned, whether OCR was engaged at that stage, etc., but the select tool in Adobe Reader leads to the cross-hairs on the PDF. We are working without AA, and I was trying to convert the PDF back to an editable Word document through ExportPDF, with which I thought I had had some success in the past in similar circumstances (converting an image PDF back to an editable Word document). With this document, the conversion back to Word through ExportPDF has led to an uneditable Word document with text in image frames whether OCR is on or off in the PDF to Word conversion effort... and if there is a way to remove the frames in Word, but keep the text, I haven't "re"figured it out yet. For instance, triple clicking doesn't seem to do anything.
On this particular document, we've gone back to the old fashioned way of retyping the page that has the error in it ... and sticking it back in the document. (It also would have been smarter timewise for me in this case to have spent more time on tracking down the preceding Word document.)
Was I missing something in the conversion process from scanned image PDF to Word document with edit capabilities? Thanks!
Dave
