I was updating to 3.6.13 and it was almost finished and it paused on its own and is now stuck there even when I turn my computer off and turn it back on. It doesn' t respond when I hit the resume button. What do I do?
I got a message screen telling me I needed to update to the latest firefox version. So I proceeded to update to 3.6.13. The update window said it was almost finished with just a few seconds remaining. It was taking a very long time when it got to that point so I minimized that screen and went to do something else. My computer kept freezing up so I went back to the update window to see how it was coming along and noticed it had paused, I tried to hit the resume button but it didn't work. I turned my computer off and turned it back on hoping that I could just start the update over but the same message was there when I went to try to update again. It still said it was almost finished with the previous update and that it was paused. What do I do to correct this?
Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iPod fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- If still not successful that indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

See if your Mac will boot from the install DVD.

When I connect my iphone and open itunes the iphone icon shows up but when I click it nothing happens and the icon disappears. I have uninstalled and re-installed itunes. Turned my computer off, and turned my iphone off. Restarted everything. Synced my iphone and my itunes and nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? I am using Windows

Yes you can.
When displaying the library you're transferring music from, for your later transfers go down to the bottom of the screen and in "Show:" select "Items not in my library":
That way, it won't show you the songs/content that you already tranferred in earlier attempts, which should stop you ending up with duplicates. -
Bluetooth summons Siri but she won't respond until I hit the Home button.
Using a Motorola Bluetooth headset, the call button summons Siri just fine. However, when I ask her to do something, nothing happens until I hit the Home button. Not very "hands free".
Not all bluetooth headsets will support Siri and phone commands. You might want to check with Motorola support to see if that particular model will support all of Siri's services. It could be that it would support voice commands, but since you have Siri active it will activate Siri but not allow giving it commands.

I was useing my colne tool in apetrure when, apeture froze. I could not get it to work again, so I turned off my computer, re booted my machine and tried to open the programme again. I can not get aperture to open again and I can't open I photo either. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me get the programme running again? I have a deadline to meet this evening. Help!
I have tried both options.
When I got to point 3 I choose the library I was working on and the same error message popped up, so this option did not work.
I then tried the second suggestion and chose the repair option but as before there is no sign of a repair database grogress indicator. Where would I be able to see this and what does it look like. I can't see any evidence of anything happening on my screen.
I have also just tried the first option that comes up in the pop up box where you have to enter your password, this resulted in the same error message.
I don"t know what to do.
I don't really want to have to go for the third option where you have to rebuild you data base - Would this result in loosing images? -
I got my iPhone 5 almost a month ago and updated its iOS but from there on I started having problems, the ph sometimes doesn't respond at all to the touch or apps start to open on their own very rapidly and this continues till it can go no further!
First steps in troubleshooting:
Close all open apps by double-tapping the home button, then swiping up and off the screen with the app window (not the smaller icon).
Then reset: hold down the home button along with the sleep/wake button until you see the apple, then let go. (No data loss) -
I was updating my IOS in iTunes. It was taking over 2 hours and when I came back, there was a symbol on the iPad showing a USB plug pointing to an iTunes icon. When I unplug the iPad from my PC, it goes blank and won't respond.
The restore is not completed. You will have to re-try the restore process again.

When we miss a call, the "Slide to Unlock" doesn't respond to touch. The only way out is to have someone call your iphone and then "Slide to Answer" will respond and once u end the call it will start responding to "Slide to Unlock" this started happening after upgrading to IOS 7.

If those do not work, then the last thing is to go to the Genius Bar. You say you went to Apple and they opened the phone and re-seated the connectors? That sounds unusual, because if there was a hardware issue,they would replace the hardware. You say you cannot get a replacement, is that because you are out of warranty? An out of warranty replacement is only $199 plus tax. It seems to me since you mention the fact you need to press hard to get the screen to react there is something going on with the hardware. If this problem has been going on for over a year, have you been reporting this to Apple. You say you cannot get a replacement and you are on the second phone, I wonder why they are denying you a replacement. Is there something you are not telling us??

After iMac, i was really fine with my computer... But after something, that doesn't bother me, happened. The screen started to get cloudy and black... And it increased. They changed my screen but in 2 months it happened 3 times and i wanted them to change my iMac with new one, under customer laws... In our country, the device must be changed with new one if the same problem occurs in 3 months. Because i know the customer satisfaction of Apple, i didn' worry about it but Bilkom refused my will... I spoke with them for 2 months but nothing happened, they just told me, it' not our problem.
Because of this speech, i sued them on June 2011... Last week, i won the case but just for the return of invoince... It costs 3.200 Turkish Liras (1.800$) and there's no 24" iMac unused... Bilkom again refused to give me an iMac... I thought that Apple's customer satisfaction can't be like this... I didn't write anything to Apple till now but if i can't get an iMac, i must return to normal PC after 2 years... And i don't want that... I offered an iMac 27" with core i7... No matter Bilkom accepts or not, they don't care of me... I'm a customer, they should do... I've never seen such a like company. I hope the real Apple will help my problem and save me from Bilkom...

Although, it appears that your problem is with a third party store and that you have won in court - did you get your money back? 24" iMacs have not been made since 2009 or 2010. Now there are 21" and 27" iMacs. -

Check your cable whether it is good. If it is use the wall plug to charge at least half an hour. See how it goes.

Premiere doesn't respond when rendering.
My adobe premiere pro 5.5 doesn't respond when I'm rendering a video. It works fine, until it reaches around 86% when the tab comes up that it has stopped working, and windows is looking for a solution.

Please elaborate on what you mean by "render." Some people use "render" as synonymous with "export" or "encode," but in Premiere we distinguish between rendering and exporting/encode. Rendering is reserved for creating preview files for smoother playback within PPRO, whereas exporting/encoding covers writing a sequence out to an output clip.
If you're talking about rendering preview files, then the first question is whether that's even necessary. In Premiere Pro, you need to render only if playback is not smooth and fluid; if you're satisified with playback without rendering, then don't bother.
If rendering preview files is desirable, then to isolate the cause of the hang, I'd render the sequence in segments by setting in & out points. Since the process is hanging at 86%, you could start by rendering the first three-quarters. Assuming that succeeds, then do smaller segments of the last 25% until you find the spot where it hangs. Then examine that section for an asset or effect or transition that's causing problems. -
I have an iPhone 4 and since I updated to iOS6 I must hit the home button several times to return home or sometimes turn off and then back on. Any thoughts? Could this be related to running low on available storage?
Hold the sleep/wake button and the home button until the phone shuts down and let it restart.

First, try a system reset. It cures many ills and it's quick, easy and harmless...
Hold down the on/off switch and the Home button simultaneously until the screen blacks out or you see the Apple logo. Ignore the "Slide to power off" text if it appears. You will not lose any apps, data, music, movies, settings, etc.
If the Reset doesn't work, try a Restore. Note that it's nowhere near as quick as a Reset. Connect via cable to the computer that you use for sync. From iTunes, select the iPad/iPod and then select the Summary tab. Follow directions for Restore and be sure to say "yes" to the backup. You will be warned that all data (apps, music, movies, etc.) will be erased but, as the Restore finishes, you will be asked if you wish the contents of the backup to be copied to the iPad/iPod. Again, say "yes."
Finally, if the Restore doesn't work, let the battery drain completely. Then recharge for at least an hour and Restore again.
