FaceTime and iMessages worked fine on my ipad mini but now they don't please help

Okay so I was on face time when suddenly for the first time my ipad mini froze so I held down the home and off button like anyone else would do. Then when it turned back on I went back onto face time and it asked me to enter my username and password which I found a bit weird so I did. It then said that the username or password I entered was incorrect so I did it again it said the same thing. So I went on the App Store downloaded an app and it asked me to enter my password I did and it worked fine. Went back to enter my username and password for FaceTime and it said it again so I changed my password tried it again it still said it was incorrect. Then I tried it on my iPod and it works fine my question is why is my FaceTime and iMessages suddenly not working but my App Store and everything else works fine I use Face time all the time and I really need it can anyone help me because I don't know what to do

When I use find file http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/30073/find-file (which does tend to find files that "Finder" can't), it's not coming up with any other itunes library files that have been modified in the past week, which I know it would have been - unfortunately, I don't have a very recent backup of the hard drive. It would be a few months old so it wouldn't have the complete library on it....any ideas? If you don't have the Apple ID and password, how did you get Mountain Liomn in the first place? Without the Apple ID and password, you'll need to buy it to download it.

One computer iTunes can support multiple Apple IDs. One iPod can also support multiple IDs. Don't do an "erase and sync." Simply add your Apple ID to the computer's iTunes and to the iPod. The only nuisance is app updating, especially if you do the updates from the computer, rather than from the iPod.

Try a reset:
- Hold the home button and sleep/wake button down at the same time. When the Apple logo appears release both buttons then try and charge again.
If issue persists try:
- Another known working cable
- Check the charging port for any damage or debris
- You could also use a dry soft bristle toothbrush and gently brush it on the port to clean it of any debris that could be in there

There is no other way you can do now. Actually, you don't need to create a new Apple ID account, you can change the Apple ID from old email account to other email accout easily by all the steps below.
1, Open iTunes > iTunes Store > log in old Apple ID > Click on your apple ID on the right hand side on top > choose account > Apple ID > Edit
As long as you only change your Apple ID, then all the old apps are still under your new email account as well as you can keep downloading new apps.
