I've tried that. It doesn't work. The only thing that happens is the apple comes up. I've tried holding the home as I'm plugging it in and keeping it held for a few minutes, but nothing happens. My iTunes doesn't even read that it's connected.

i locked my ipod before i went to bed a few nights ago and in the morning when i woke up i tried to turn it on but the screen stayed black so i put it on the charger to see if it was dead or not but it wasnt. i left it on the charger for an hour or two thinking it will turn on but nothing happened and i just tired to connect to itunes and nothing happened.

Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 10 - 15 Seconds...
Turn the Phone On...

I have a phone 3g and everytime I go to open facebook or bejewelled blitz it will not load. It crashes and then the screen goes black for a few seconds before going back to the home screen. I have uninstalled this app and reinstalled it on a few occassions but now it will not even go the facebook homepage. It sometimes also happens with other app.

I have an older mac and it worked perfectly until about an hour ago when I shut it down because we needed the room dark for a presentation and the screen saver was putting out light.
Now it won't turn back on. It plays the start up music but the screen stays blank.
The CMD+OPT+R for recovery mode doesn't do anything, the keyboard is wireless so the command doesn't get to the computer and that's the only keyboard I have since that's the one it came with.
I'm looking at making a USB recovery disk but it says that I should click on "Options" in the Disk Utility but there is no options button or menu to click.
From here: OS X: About Recovery Disk Assistant in step 3 I get stuck.
Also it says that if I make a drive on this computer which has an older OS it might not work on the broken machine with Mavericks.

I don't believe there is anything we can do on a forum to help then, you need to take it into a AASP and have it professionaly diagnosed. If you don't know how to locate an AASP in your area you can begin by using Contact Apple for support and service

Hello, I have this problem.
Recently I noticed, that when I try to change the quality of the video from the default 360p to whatever one, the quality will jump to 240p and the video wont run. There will be just black screen.
I tried resetting the browser and it did not fix my problem.
I tried the same video in internet explorer and the quality change worked normally.
How could I fix this?

What beep pattern is it making? 3 Beeps then stops then 3 again? If so that is a RAM problem. But you have more than just a RAM problem if the screen does not light up at all.
You need to take it into an Apple store to be fully diagnosed and an estimate given on the repairs. You might be better off buy a new system. -
a friend of mine said this happened to her, and apple told her to leave it plugged in for a while. I've already had it plugged in for several hours and nothing has happened. I haven't been able to get to apple yet but I was wondering if there was anything I hadn't tried yet?

my internal speakers aren't working. any ideas? can i reinstall software to fix this? the only sound produced is the startup strum.
If your macbook won't turn on, how do you know the speakers aren't working? What is the issue?

I haven't been able to find any answers that solve my problem. My Ipad will not leave the Apple logo. I hold both buttons and the screen goes black and then the Apple logo immediately pops back up. I can't get the red slider screen at all. No matter how many times I hold down both buttons the screen goes black and then the Apple logo pops right back on.
Before you do anything else, try charging via a wall outlet for a while, since its off. Then try turning it back on.
When you put the device into recovery mode it allows you to restore the device when no other options work. You do risk losing everything currently strored on the ipad itself. Hopefully you've performed regular backups either via itunes, icloud or both. Evern if you have synced content to either of those, you may not lose everything. All previous purchases have been saved in the itunes and app stores, so you can dowload them again.
while the ipad is off, press and hold the home button and plug the usb cord into the ipad. You should see a message pop up on the itunes window on your compoter screen that state it has discoverd an ipad in recovery mode.

I bought an iPad in June 2012 and have it worked fine, but after 2 weeks of purchase, he began to hang up, then the sound disappeared and the screen became black. I updated all through iTunes, but the sound is still absent, and still problem with sound and iPad still doesnt work.
Take it to an Apple Store for evaluation.
