I went to update my iTunes with the new update, but something went wrong..?
Alright, so... I opened iTunes and saw that I had an update available for iTunes. I think It was 7. something, but now I kind of forget. Anyway, I downloaded and installed the update, but in order to complete it I had to restart my computer.
So, I restarted the computer and when it loaded back up, I was surprised to see that it took me to the "Mac OS X Setup Assistant" window, where it said:
"In just a few steps, you can register your Apple product, set up your computer, and sign up for a .Mac membership, which includes a powerful collection of software services specifically designed for your Mac."
And then it asked me what country I lived in and yadda yadda yadda. So basically, it's asking me to re-setup my computer from the very beginning.
I tried filling in all the information to setup my mac again, but when I was done everything and all of the information was filled in and I pressed the "Ok/Done" or whatever you want to call it button, it took me back to the beginning to fill out all of the information again...
Can someone please tell me what is wrong with my Macbook?!

I updated my iPhone with the new update..and then it turned off...instead of turning back on it tells me to plug it into iTunes..and when I do iTunes tells me that my phone is in recovery mode and needs to be restored..is there anything I can do without restoring it?
Same thing happened here ~ tech guy at a local authorized Apple repair store said it had something to do with improper backup from which the restore would be made. Still have a phone that asks to be connected to Itunes but won't do anything else . . . frustrated.

I tried to update my itune with the latest update and now i can't use itune at all . I have tried reinstalling it . all get is MSVCR80.dll and then I get Error 7 (windows erreor 126) . Need help please .
Similar problem here. iTunes11 notified me it was available. However, auto-update failed. So, I downloaded for manual update. That failed with "permission" message. I am administrator on this machine (WIN7). I tried uninstalling old version, but it failed with same permission issue. I now can't start iTunes... throws permission message. So, I'm completely dead in the water. Does this stuff get tested before it's shipped?

If your device is not recognized by iTunes, I would recommend the steps in the article below. Start with the section labeled Verify that the Apple Mobile Device USB Driver is installed > For Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 > Update the Apple Mobile Device Driver.

How do I sync playlists to iphone 4s from itunes with the new update
how do I add my top 25 playlist to my iphone I updated my itunes and now my playlists are not on my iphone. the only playlist that show now are the ones I made and i tried to select and sync the lists but their still not showing on my iphone.
I think that if you sync the iPhone the top 25 playlist would be updated and placed back to your iTunes library.

after downloading the new itunes and also ios 5 for my ipad 2, I cannot get itunes to open for more than 3 seconds without it crashing on me. I have uninstalled it and re-installed it with no luck. Windows says iTunes has stopped working. I have also tried a "repair" of the program but nothing. Help please?!
Do you have Internet Security Software turned on in your Internet Explorer?
I turned mine off, as I have Norton AV. Go into Internet Explorer and check to see if you have that on and try turning that off...and then try to get back onto FF. You may have to restart your computer, I'm not sure, as I'm not a techie. I just know that the Internet Security Software clashed with my Norton AV.

Updates cannot be uninstalled.
Put the device in DFU mode (google it) and restore via iTunes. -

Disable any antivirus and firewall software installed on your computer. They can interfere with the update process.

If you have a backup on iCloud or iTunes you would not have lost all your data, the update went fine on my phone and my wifes and many others. On forums you dont see the millions of users saying it went well, just the few with issues. If you had no backup thats not Apples fault, thats yours. The same will happen whatever platform you go to if you dont back your data up.

I had issues with the new update to itunes. I did as the website instructed and uninstalled all components.
I went back to download and it acts like everything has downloaded
by stating congratulations but nothing had downloaded.

I need the itunes on my desktop (PC_)Hi there, to authorize a computer, you open up itunes, and at the very very top lefthand corner, there will be a little window. Click on that, and it will present you with a list of options. From there, you go to the third option down, which says "Itunes Store," hover over it with your mouse, and it will give you another set of options. From there, you can see the two options, "Authorize" an "Deauthorize computer. Just click on "Authorize," enter in your apple ID and password, and your computer will be authorized! With the new updates for iTunes, I can no longer print a CD case playlist when I burn a CD. It prints in a jumbled mess. I have reinstalled, updated, run diagnostics on my NEW printer, I am out of ideas!
It appears to be a bug with the current build. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next release.
