I know many of you look forward to my postings and replies, almost as much as I enjoy logging on each day and seeing what questions I can answer. :-)
Well I need to inform you that for the next two weeks, that is from Saturday 14th October to Saturday 28th October I will be in Mexico on vacation. I will have limited access to the internet and so if I am not able to post many answers you know why!
In the meantime, I know I can leave you in the very capable hands of the other folks who regularly answer and I will see you all in a couple of weeks.

SharePoint Foundation 2013 - report / chart / Graph for Employee vacation.

In SharePoint Foundation 2013 I want to create a report / chart / Graph for Employee (Employee Id,Employee Name & Department) which will show month wise from which date to which date Employee are on vacation in particular department.
I'm thinking to create one List where where user will enter there vacation details and from that list report I will create chart / Graph Department wise to check the Employees availability.
Please provide some good example or idea in detail for this.

Chart Web Parts are useful for visually representing data in line charts, bar charts, and other views. Charts enable you and other users to view performance information at a glance.
In SharePoint 2013, chart web part is one of the discontinued features. We usually use Excel Service to replace it, however, Excel Service is only available in Enterprise edition, so we need to figure out coding methods or third party tool if you are using
Foundation edition.

You can go to icloud.com, open Mail, click on the gear shaped icon on the upper right and choose preferences, go to the Vacation tab and set up an auto response saying that the account is no longer in use. Then go to Settings>iCloud and turn Mail to Off on your device and stop using the account.
Incoming email to the account will receive your vacation auto response, and eventually the mailbox will fill up and no longer receive mail at all.

Rule Generated vacation messgae timeout question

Hello all,
We have a user that wants to set up a Vacation Rule that will send the "Vacation Message" once a day to every user.
Currently, GroupWise 802 seems to generate the Vacation Message only once per user, until the rule goes away.
I cannot determine a time out. It is longer than one week.
So, the complaint is, remote users do not know or remember that she is out of the office if they do not receive
consistent "Vacation Messages", at least once per week, but ideally, once per day.
I cannot find this setting or "feature" documented anywhere.
(It looks like version 7 added this feature to not reply to Every message)
I rather not open a case with Novell over this, but our user is very insistent.

Add Subject contains * to the rule conditions, that should force a reply
to every message.

Can't set multiple days on ical

Does anyone know how I can set my ical on imac to give me option to select more than one day for an event. I will be on vacation for a week and I want to save it as such but it only allows me to select one day at a time. Can anyone help?

Standard Manager going down randomly

Hi,
On our user test system the standard managers will shutdown sporadically and I can not figure out what is causing this issue.
Here is a snippet of the standard manager log file from today:

This was working before this problem started in Nov or Dec of 2010 and it just seems worse now. Like once every couple of days. The last EBS patch was in Nov.
We have patched the production system the to the same level but it does not have this problem. I was wondering if it was a database connection issue, but there were no errors in the listener or alert logs of the database cluster. I don't know where else to find errors on the apps tier.
I am wondering if I have some thing configured differently on this user test system.
Yes there are many invalid objects due to a data refresh that we have done several times over the last 18 months (custom application).
You want me to apply patch 9577274?
I did review ID 727498.1, but we have not done a DB upgrade recently.
I will be on vacation until Monday March 21. I will follow up when I get back.

Is my Camcorder recording speed going to effect playback?

I just got a new FS-100 Canon Videocamera which records on SD and SDHC cards. It has the abilty to record in LP (3 mb/sec); SP (6 mb/sec) and XP (9 mb/sec). So I'm thinking best to record in the highest quality - since I'm taking a major vacation trip (finally!)--
--but then read that it might be better to record in SP (6 mb/sec) because although iMovie will not have a problem with this, I read: "...but 6 mb/sec better if your final format is DVD since some players will have problems keeping up".
I'm not really sure what that means---
---My DVD player is April 2002 vintage; and today a new one is not expensive-- so I don't really want to sacrifice quality--
NOTE: This camcorder is Standard Definition, NOT HIGH DEFINITION - and I'm using the 4:3 recording format since I still have an standard TV (1992 Sony...)
OK this may also be a question for iMovie but any comments appreciated. My idea is to import from the SD and SDHC cards into iMovie and then burn DVD's from there-- but believe I have to use iDVD to burn DVD's?

I prefer using camcorders that have a FW port in terms of a digital interface as opposed to USB2. I also prefer using iM6 as opposed to iMovie 7 when it comes to editing and custom chapter markers. It's a free download from apple's web site assuming you already have iLife'08:

That would be my first recommendation. The second would be to record to MiniDv tape and not to SD cards if you plan to edit with i-Apps as well as burn to DvD-R Verbatim. The final results will look cleaner than video captured to SD Memory cards. I'm assuming this planned vacation is a once in a lifetime trip with loved ones and if it were mine (I wish) I'd want it recorded to a highly reliable and tested format. MiniDv is just that.
The camcorder you currently use is not my favorite choice. The FS100 will deliver typical budget video in line with their budget price tags. But is this really what you want for your vacation? Think about it? "No optical image stabilization; ineffective wind filter; no headphone jack; modest video quality."???
Will it work? .... marginally, yes (or rather maybe). And not without jumping through a few hoops to finally get it to Dvd-R. And when all is said and done; what about the quality? Is this how you will remember your vacation?

Lastly, in regard to recording speed. Stay with SP mode (or the highest setting for quality playback". Don't forget to bring a quality tripod in the event you do opt to stay with the FS100 simply out of Budget considerations.

Travelling to Canada

I will be on vacation in Canada some questions:
if someone in the USA sends me a text while I am in Canada am I paying any extra charges to receive it?
If I send a text to someone" in the USA" from my phone while I am in Canada am I paying extra charges?
if I send a text t5o someone in Canada while I am in Canada I assume I will indedd pay extra charges
Generally i assume it all still goes against my allotment of text msgs, but I am wondering about "extra" charges?

Surely you can understand why people do not want to pay £200 for nothing?
I have a similar proplem where I beleive BT have no empathy what so ever for their customers. I leave my current address in one weeks time but my future home will not be vacated for 1-2 months. Both old and new houses will need phonelines for their current occupants to I need to stop the phone to this house. The only way BT will do this is to end my contract early -cost £60 and then I start a new one with them when I move. I do not want to move away from BT I want to keep all my current packages/bundles but BT can't do it. I've been with BT for 50 odd years (yes I am old) but does that matter to them? The future home currently has Sky so if BT can not help me who do you think I will be signing up with?

Transaction INVMON - Process Bill Entry - Error message EDEREG_INV590

Dear Gurus,
I'm trying to configure a supply scenario on the Supplier side, the objective is to updload grid usage bills and process them to create an agregated invoice on the grid contract account and also inculde this grid usage bills in the next periodic invoice of the customer, the first question is already if this is posssible, can we add the grid usage bill in the next periodic invoice of the costumer without recalculating it in our tarifs and just by taking the amount we received from the GRID?
When trying to process the document I'm receiving error message EDEREG_INV590:
No contract or service in invoice period 01.01.2014 - 21.08.2014 for sender N_IMEA
Where or how should I create the contract or the service that is missing, in the service provider I've already added the agreements for service provider agreement types INVINBOUND and REMOUTBUND, with from date 01.01.2000, the bill I'm trying to process has date 21.08.2014. And added all possible parameters for these two service provider agreement types.

As I understand you need a solution to take over the positions from the grid usage bill (wihich is from the DSO to you in role supplier) into the bill document (which you create in your role as supplier facing the end customer)
Such a requirement we cover in Germany with a so called SAP Consulting Solution named "eNNE - erweiterte Netznutzungseingangsverabeitung" which means in english language "extended Grid Usage Inbound Processing". This solution is not a SAP Product, it is an engineered service and contains code, which can be implemented into the customers system. The solution is customizable so that it can be tailored for the concrete customer needs (within the borderlines of the sultion ).

What exactly 'PAYLOAD' means.??? Please help me with simple examples and in context of BPM process.

I hope the earlier links from Sudipto should give you an idea. In simple terms, in context to a BPEL or BPM Process, I would treat Payload as the Input data that each user/service in that Process will Work On. Means they want enter or modify that data.
Simple Example: Vacation Request BPM Process. As an Employee, I want to go on Vacation and this has to be approved say by 4 people above me (I am the lowest last employee in the company). They can either Approve or Reject. Approve will go forward, and Reject will go in back direction.
Me Employee -> Team Lead -> Project Manager -> Manager -> Supervisor.
The payload is simply the data or the information that each user sees. In this case its a Vacation Request, so the data will be like
Vacation Start Date
Vacation End Date:
Reason For Vacation
Emergency Contact.
We do need final response back from the superiors after final approval. And that can be like Approved or Rejected with Reasons.
Since this is a process, everything is a XML. And the Payload will look like this: You will define a .XSD Schema that produces a xml like shown below.

Remote connect to home network

I will be on vacation and taking my laptop. I would like to connect to my Mini back home.I am file sharing with the Mini through a wireless connection - Airport Extreme.
I will have WiFi at my Vacation destination.
I believe I use my IP address to make a connection, but am unsure as to how I accomplish this.
Any help would be apprciated.

In System Preferences>Network>Locations>New Location, just make a new one named Away or such, likely just needs to be set to using DHCP under the TCP/IP tab..

Headphone Jack does not fit into my new Sansa Clip +

Hi, I just bought a new Sansa Clip + so I could listen to my songs while on vacation, but when I put in my headphones 3.5 jack plug into the hole on the side of the mp3 player it won't go all the way in and falls out if I dont hold it properly. Is that how a Sansa Clip + is ? because I found it very annoying. I hope that someone can reply fast because I will be on vacation in about a week. And sorry for my english because it is not my native language.

When the player is new the jack is very tight, and it takes a bit of force to get the plug in completely.

Filters for VPN

I'm using BM3.9 sp1 and am connecting to a NW 6.5 network throught a c2s vpn with 4.91 client. If I have ipflt loaded I cannot ping internal hosts. I've had brdcfg configure my filters, I've added ncp exceptions, and added exception to allow all traffice from my vptunnel to the public interface, but still cannot find whatelse I need to make this happen. I need a quick fix as I must get this completed today and will be on vacation next week. This is for a police vehicle to communicate via cellular service. Thank you.
