I wish to add my other email addresses to my account, how?

I have 2 other email addresses that I wish to add to my thunderbird account but they do not seem to be recognised or accepted. They rk fine on Outlook Express on my old computer. What should I do?

Go to Mail Preferences>Accounts, click the '+' button below the list of accounts and insert the settings, username and password as instructed. Some account types can be set up automatically as soon as Mail knows the emails address (because the server settings are built in), in other cases you will have to get them from your ISP.

Settings>iTunes & App Stores>Tap the ID and sign out. Then sign in with your other ID.
If this isn't working, restart the iPad - AFTER you sign out of the ID and then sign in with the correct ID after the iPad restarts.
There is no reason why you should not be able to sign in with the ID that you are using on the iPhone and use that passord with that ID on the iPad.

If you have a new email address then create a new mail account for that email address.
In Thunderbird:
File > New > select 'Existing mail account'
or
Menu Icon > New Messages > select 'Existing mail account'
when creating the mail account, make sure you select the type of mail account you require...Pop or IMAP

If you have the same email address but want to change the server it uses.
If you currently have an IMAP mail account and you are wanting to close it, you would need to get a copy of any emails into Local Folders first.
Synchronise the folder for offline use, then in offline mode get a copy of emails into Local Folders.
If you have a pop mail account, the emails are already on your computer.
To change the server, but not email address:
you will need to know your server settings first.
Thenright click on mail account name in Folder Pane and select 'Settings'
select the Server sEttings for the account
or Tools > Account Settings > Server Settings for the account
Change as necessary
server name:
Port:
Connection Security:
In the left Pane, at the bottom Select 'Outgoing Server (SMTP)
click on 'Add'
create the new outgoing server entering the server details
username: = full email address
then click on OK
then select the account in the left Pane
at the bottom on the right side:
Outgoing Server (SMTP)
click on the drop down selectionand locate the new outgoing server.
then click on OK to save changes.

Can childrens apple id have an additional email address on their account?

I am considering creating a childrens apple id for my child in order for them to use family sharing. They currently use a non iCloud email address so if a childrens account can only be created with a new icloud address would they be able to add their usual email address to their account as an additional/alternative email address as is possible in accounts for 'adults'?

iCloud will only sync your iCloud mail. It does this because it is an IMAP email account not a POP email account.
If you want other email addresses to do the same thing, contact the provider to see if they can change your email account to an IMAP account. (This is what I did)

If you mean you want to add a second email address to the Mac Mail app:
Open Mail > Preferences > Accounts > Click the plus sign and enter the information
If you mean you want to add an alias to your iCloud mail account:
Go to https://www.icloud.com > sign in > Mail > Click the Gear on top right > Preferences > Accounts > Add an Alias (on bottom left)

You need to answer your security questions to add a rescue address, if you don't know these.
If you don't know these you should contact AppleCare who will initially try to assist you with a reset email or if unsuccessful will pass you to the security team to reset your security questions for you.
If you are in a region that doesn't have international telephone support try contacting Apple through iTunes Store Support.

Do you remember the answers to your security questions ? If you do then log into your account on http://appleid.apple.com, select the Password And Security section of your account's page, answer the two questions that show and you can then add a rescue email address : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5620
If you don't remember your answers then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.

You can add up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account. (In fact it's a good idea to give out alias addresses, rather than the main address, because if they attract spam you can easily change them.)
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account or move it to another account.

Note that the rescue email address is not on the "Name, ID and Email Address" page -- you need to click on "Password and Security" on the left side. Even after you do that, it may or may not be available. It sounds as if you are having an issue with setting up your Gmail account on your iPhone for the purposes of using Messages, is that right? I would suggest that you use the steps in this article to troubleshoot -
Gmail account cannot get or send email in iOS - Apple Support
Specifically -
Make sure your device is connected to the Internet by opening Safari and visiting www.apple.com.
If you have other email accounts on your device, try to send and receive email from those accounts. If your Gmail account is the only one with the issue, fill out an unlock form, which proves your identity.
Remove your Gmail account from your device and add it again: Tap Settings > Mail, Contacts and Calendars > Add Account > Google. Enter your account information.
