I wish to change the HP language from Bokml to English

The language of any access I make to my HP printer is in Bokmål...my Norwegian is good but I would prefer all in English.....the ink just ran out and I stumbled on getting a replacement.
There was a 'suggestion' as to how to change the language, via Control Panel'  ...I tried to follow it but the next step was impossible as the next link, 'date and time' did not exist!
I may well have bought something from my Norwegian e-m   but I would not have bought using a Norwegian Credit card.
I see HP does not like Norwegian vowels....it has put a ? for the "å"!!!!!! NOT GOOD!!!

Hey!
Since this is an ENG (US) forum we use the appropriate alphabet for the forum. When we do that the characters from all other languages naturally aren't going to show up properly or, show up at all. I apologize if this upsets you, we have most languages covered throughout this international forum. This just happens to be the ENG (US) one.
After all of the posts we have had I am started to lose the understanding of what it is that you are wanting. You mentioned you want to change the language on your printer to get the Norwegian vowels but keep ENG (UK) as your main language and unfortunately that is not possible. The printer will print the Norwegian vowels fine from your computer though, the language doesn't control what it can and can't print.
Get back to me with exactly what it is that you need and I'll do everything I can to help. Have a great day friend!
I worked for HP.

You may want to wait for others to see this thread who might offer some other suggestions, but you could consider resetting the password. These instructions work for Lion (10.7.x) and Mountain Lion (10.8.x).

  • Language of Webdynpro after changing the Portal Language

    Hi All,
Even after changing the portal language from for ex. English to French, the webdynpro is still displayed in English language.
If this session (portal window) is closed and new portal session is started, then the webdynpro is displayed in French.
Also please note that, for iviews built using Portal HTMLB (like JspDynPages), restarting the session is not necessary.
Any answer/solution/pointers/SAP Notes supplied is greatly appreciated.

    Hi,
Refer to SAP Note 947081 about Internationalization
The Blog at /people/bertram.ganz/blog/2007/01/08/the-top-12-hottest-sap-notes-every-web-dynpro-java-developer-must-know talks about this Note.
3rd point mentions about "Language change in the portal (through portal personalization) does not get immediately reflected in the Web Dynpro iViews?"
    Hope this solves your query.
    Kind Regards,

  • Visual Studio 2013 crash when I attempt to change the Design Language

I have a localized Windows Forms application. When I attempt to change the Design Language from German to anything else Studio hangs. Where is this setting persisted so I can manually edit the setting outside of Studio? This is in VS 2013.
    AliciaV

    Hi AliciaV,
Thank you for posting in the MSDN forum.
When I attempt to change the Design Language from German to anything else Studio hangs.
Could you share us a screen shot about the settings where you change the design language? Do you mean that you change it under the TOOLS->Options like the following screen shot?
We often change the default language like the above screen shot.
    Reference:
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms246590.aspx
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/kycbhy5d.aspx
If so, the real issue we need to check is that why the VS crash.
To make sure that whether it is your Environment issue or the VS IDE issue:
Please run your VS in safe mode, check it again.
    http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms241278.aspx
Please run your VS as the admin.
Please also close other processes or third party tools in your windows, and make sure that your task manager is free. Remove/disable all add-ins in your VS IDE.
Please also install the VS2013 Update 2.
In addition, you also need to make sure that you installed the specific language package:

  • Change the N8 language

    Hi 2 all,
is it possible to change the N8 language from English to Arabic ? And how ?
    Thanks

    @mgharbawy55
Sorry if there is confusion here between two entities, language of operating system installed or ability to look up translation in an installed dictionary; whereas you can have a maximum of three dictionaries of which one has to be English, you can not add language pack to operating system yourself.

  • HT202157 In Settings on Apple TV2, while looking for Closed Captions, I accidentally changed the default Language to something I cannot decipher. I cannot read the lists to find English. Help?

Using AppleTV2, in Settings looking for closed caption aoption, I accidently changed the default language from English to something with hieroglyphics. How do I revert to English?

    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5255
Settings is the rightmost tab at the top.
Settings > General is the first choice under it.
Settings > General > Language should hopefully be the 11th item down, and there you should find English.

  • Unity 7: users want to change the TUI language

    Gents,
I am implementing Unity 7.0 UM with Exchange in a multi-cultural environment. I installed 4 different languages (licensed) and set English by default.
Is there a possibility for users to change the TUI language setting by themselves?
Indeed, when they consult their voicemail box, they would like to hear their mothertongue instead of English. Is there a way for users to change this setting without a dedicated intervention of the Unity Admin, user by user?
    Thank you for your help.
    Best regards,
    Yorick

    Hello,
Some of these setting are accessible in Cisco PCA tool to individual users to change their personal settings.
Here is the guide and section that may be relevant to you:

Changing the Language in Which You Hear the Cisco Unity Conversation
This setting controls the language in which you hear the Cisco Unity  conversation. (Your Cisco Unity administrator sets the language in which  callers hear the Cisco Unity conversation.)
To Change the Language in Which You Hear the Cisco Unity Conversation
Step 1 In the Cisco Unity Assistant, from the  Preferences menu, click Phone Menu.
Step 2 In the Language list, click the language  in which you want to hear the Cisco Unity conversation.
Step 3 Scroll to the bottom of the page, and  click Save.
Here are the directions for accessing PCA also contained in the doc I sent:
Accessing the Cisco Unity Assistant Web Tool
    This section contains two procedures:
•To  Access the Cisco Unity Assistant
•To  Access Cisco Unity Assistant Help
To Access the Cisco Unity Assistant
Step 1 Go to http:///ciscopca. (The URL is case sensitive.)
Timesaver Bookmark the Cisco PCA URL so you do not  have to enter the web address each time you want to access the  Cisco Unity Assistant web tool. (You cannot bookmark the page for the  Cisco Unity Assistant.)
    Step 2 Enter your credentials:
    User Name
Enter the alias for your Windows domain account. (For example, enter  tcampbell or enter tcampbell@.)
If you enter the full path for your alias (i.e. if you include the  domain), you do not need to complete the Domain field.
    Password
Enter the password for your Windows domain account.
If you cannot remember your Cisco PCA password, contact your Cisco Unity  administrator for assistance.
    Domain
Enter the name of the domain in which your Windows domain account  resides.
If you entered a full path for your alias in the User Name field, you do  not need to enter the domain name here.
Step 3 Under Options, check any or all of the  following fields so that you do not have to re-enter your credentials  the next time you log on to the Cisco PCA:
    •Remember Username
    •Remember Password
    •Remember Domain
Tip For security reasons, you may wish to  enter some or all of your Cisco PCA credentials each time you log on,  especially if you share a computer with others. (Depending on how  Cisco Unity is set up, the above options may not be available to you.)
Step 4 On the Cisco PCA Home page, click the Cisco Unity Assistant link.
Step 5 When you are ready, click Log Out in the top right corner of any Cisco Unity  Assistant page.
    Hope this helps.
    Thanks,
    Scott

    Hi,
set the NLS_LANG parameter and make sure the language supplement classes got installed when installing the deesigntime or server. If you need to change the language for runtime, set the value in the default.env file - assuming its a web based appication

  • I can't change the display language on my HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni

I have a HP Color LaserJet CP1518ni printer that I inherited from an employee who is no longer at the company. The display screen on the printer is not showing in English, it's in some language I do not recognize (and neither does anyone else). I want to change the display language to English but the manual only shows you how to do that on the display, which I cannot read because it's not in English, hence my dilemma. Does anyone know of a way to change the display language through the computer?
    Thanks

    InventoryLady,
Yes that is what I did.  I do not know the language that it is currently set at, so the recommendations were from using the front panel menu. The OK button is the OK button on the front panel, that would not be in another language, it is the button in between the left and right arrow- See image below #6:
Once you have hit the OK button, you can complete the steps in my earlier recommendation. Again because I do not know which language it is currently set at, I am guiding you the best I can. As for selecting the English language, I suggest using Google Translate to find out which language it is currently set at and see what their word for English is.
If you have any more questions, please let me know.
    Thanks,
    HevnLgh

  • How do I change the default language for the spell checker? - solved, sort of...

As the previous thread was closed without actual resolution - https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/941350?esab=a&s=&r=0&as=s
I managed to solve this on my end by just reinstalling firefox using the localisation of the default dictionary language i wanted from here - http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/
A bit of a shame that the main download page doesnt select the geographically relevant localisation for you and even more so that changing the default language for the in built spell checker is so kak. oh well.

Right-click a web form on any web page.
    Languages > Add Dictionaries
    *Install the Language pack
You can look here for dictionaries:
