I wish to delete current versions of firefox on desktop, and put laptop version on desktop before I update!

I have 2 copies of 10.0.1 and a previous version of 4.0 which I updated to 10.0.2 in my app folder. All three show that I've erased all my bookmarks, bookmark bar, web page settings and everything else. I do have version 8.0.1 on my laptop with everything intact! I am on the update channel on the laptop too.
My time machine doesn't seem to work right or I would use it. How do I get my lap top version with all my goodies to the desktop! I do have a flash drive if that will help. How could I transfer or export the important stuff to a new version on the desktop, or should I download a new version first. I just don't know where to begin.
Should I delete my firefox versions before proceeding? Lastly, In all the years I've used Firefox, I never had to export anything that I can remember. What do you think I did to cause this problem. Thanks!!

Flash Player Uninstaller
Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)
Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)
I recommend keeping BOTH ActiveX and the regular Player Plugin installed, even if you don't use IE.

  • How to Delete Current Version and Its History

    Hi Gurus.
    I need help on such a case;
    Let's assume that;
    I have enabled versioning on a folder.
    I have uploaded a document as the first version.
    Then I uploaded a new version of this document as second version.
    At this moment i noticed that "oopss i uploaded wrong document, so i need delete it!!!"
    There is the problem. I need to delete current version of the document and also from the versionin history so I can't duplicate the first version of the document as current, becuase it's an error by me.
    As final case I need to have;
    1st version as current version,
    There is no 2nd verison...
    If I upload a new version after a while, it will be the 2nd version of the document; not the 3rd one so there will be no loss at versioning number....
    How can I realize it by using standard properties of KM or by code or by using a custom property like "my version"??
    Thank you for ur responses....

    Hi,
    some tips about versioning in EP Java:
    if (res.isVersioned()) {
              // get versions...
              IVersionHistory versions = res.getVersionHistory();
              if (versions != null) {
                for (int i = 0, size = versions.size(); i < size; i++) {
    IResource ver = versions.get(i);
    // now try to delete the version - haven't tried yet...
    if(ver.isrevision)
      ver.delete();
    hope this helps a bit,
    Romano

    You need iTunes 10.0 or greater to update your phone...iTunes isn't confused at all. If you're on a Mac, you'll need OS X 10.5.8 or greater to update iTunes to 10.0 or greater.

    I suspect you have a 2G iPod. Those can only go to iOS 4.2.1.
    Identifying iPod models
    iPod touch (3rd generation)
    iPod touch (3rd generation) features a 3.5-inch (diagonal) widescreen multi-touch display and 32 GB or 64 GB flash drive. You can browse the web with Safari and watch YouTube videos with Wi-Fi. You can also search, preview, and buy songs from the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store on iPod touch.

  • Browsing history is set to "delete on exit" from Firefox however cookies and history are still listed in Internet Explorer - which I never use. Why??

    Firefox is set to delete browsing history on exit. Appears to be working fine. However, if I open Internet Explorer - after closing Firefox - my cookies and history are listed in Internet Explorer. I have to go to Tools >Options> Internet History and delete everything manually. (Internet Explorer is also set to delete history on exit.
    Why are my cookies and history being transferred from Firefox to Internet Explorer?

    Thanks cor-el for the reply.
    Do not have any MS plugins that I'm aware of. No Silverlight,etc.
    How can I tell if Windows Media player is plugged in to FF?
    No IE View or IE tab.
    Not a major problem because I can go in and delete manually--minor hassle.
    Have had the same problem across several FF updates. Just curious why this is happening.

    I HAVE AN ICLOUD ACCOUNT THAT I NEED TO DELETE, BUT I'VE FORGOTTEN THE PASSWORD AND/OR THE SECURITY QUESTIONS. SO, I CAN'T RESET IT BY EMAIL BECAUSE THE ADDRESS I USED IS NO LONGER ACTIVE.

    You need to ask Apple to reset its security questions. To do this, click here and pick a method; if that page doesn't list one for your country or you're unable to call, fill out and submit this form.

  • Trying to delete current version of software but can't

    I am attempting to load an older version of my scansnap software ( it's more functional) but it tells me I cannot because a newer version exists ... I have deleted the program , gone through all the library's etc to find any preference files or any files at all referencing 'scansnap' and deleted all of them and emptied the trash, all to no avail. Fujitsu doesn't discuss this at all on their support site nor does it include any kind of uninstall software.. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
    Thanks in advance!

    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
    Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash. Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder. Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space. If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
    Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application. In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
    Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder. You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder. You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder. Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
    Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item. Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder. Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences. Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab. Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
    Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS. Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
    If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term. Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default. You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, Easy Find, instead. Download Easy Find at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
    Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder. Usually with the same name as the program or the developer. The item generally has a ".pkg" extension. Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
    There are also several shareware utilities that can uninstall applications:
    AppZapper
    CleanApp
    Yank
    SuperPop
    Uninstaller
    Spring Cleaning
    Look for them at VersionTracker or MacUpdate.
    For more information visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on removing software.

  • I have 3.6 & am trying to upgrade to current version. When trying to update didn't work, I trashed 3.6 & tried new install. Keep getting "File not Found" page.

    Could not update from 3.6 (said I was not authorized). Tried trashing 3.6 and accompanying files and do a clean install of new version. When I click to download I am redirected to a Mozilla "File not found" page. From there I try clicking on Firefox and downloading the English(US) for OSX file and it directs me back to the same file not found page. I have tried this several times.

    Where are you trying to download Firefox from? You should be using [http://www.getfirefox.com www.getfirefox.com], the official Firefox Download site.

  • Must I uninstall my current version of CS6 before installing Creative Cloud PS app?

    Also, Must I uninstall Lightroom 4 before installing CC Lightroom?

    You can keep CS6, and it is a good idea to do so.  You might have plugins, and/or twain drivers etc. that initially prove problematic on CC.  I am not so sure about Lightroom, (which is Version 5 and not CC) but I would think that the same thing applies and you can keep both versions.

  • Downloaded Firefox 4 to a new Laptop never used 4 before am having problems adding my custon buttons to frequently used web pages

  • I have Firefox for U3 and lately it keeps trying to instal an update, which fails and a 2nd window tells me another copy of F'fox is running (which isn't) and when I close the window F'fox starts anyway, but all this takes a lot of time.

    I have Firefox for U3 on my Verbatim stick to run on whatever computer I happen to be using. Lately every time I try to open F'fox a window comes up saying "Firefox is installing your updates and will start in a few moments." The status bar indicates the update is progressing, 'though a bit slowly, then suddenly it's done and the window disappears, only to be followed by another window coming up which says "The update could not be installed. Please make sure there are no other copies of Firefox running on you computer and then re-start Firefox to try again."
    If I press the 'OK' button OR press the Close button, the window disappears, but then F'fox starts up all by itself anyway.
    How can I stop this updating problem happening every time and on every computer I use.

    Try to disable hardware acceleration.
    *Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"
    If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
    Try to toggle some Boolean gfx.font_rendering prefs on the about:config page to disable some features.
    Filter: gfx
    Some to try:
    * set gfx.direct2d.disabled to true to disable Direct2D
    * set gfx.font_rendering.directwrite.use_gdi_table_loading to false.
    To open the <i>about:config</i> page, type <b>about:config</b> in the location (address) bar and press the "<i>Enter</i>" key, just like you type the url of a website to open a website.<br />
    If you see a warning then you can confirm that you want to access that page.<br />
    *Use the Filter bar at to top of the about:config page to locate a preference more easily.
    *Preferences that have been modified show as bold (user set).
    *Preferences can be reset to the default or changed via the right-click context menu.

  • In Windows7 (64bit) Firefox becomes unresponsive and the vertical scroll turns black before the crash.

    I have about 30 crashes with the plugins disabled. This usually happens with two to three tabs open.

    Hello Steve.
    I'm looking at your information and I'm not finding your Firefox profile particularly healthy... You have a plugin called "My Web Search Plugin Stub for 32-bit Windows" installed. You also have your default search engine set to mywebsearch.com, which is not nearly as good as Google, which leads me to think you didn't really configure these on purpose... Is that correct?

    I just ran the plugin updater, no problem.
    Start '''[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode Firefox in Safe Mode]''' {web Link} by holding down the '''<Shift ''(Mac Options)'' >''' key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
    Go to the web page. Once the page is loading, mouse to the address bar
    and '''Left''' click the icon. A window for displaying site information should
    come up. Select '''More Information.''' Now select '''Permissions.''' In the
    menu, find the plugins, and '''set all '''of them to '''Allow.'''
    This action will only effect that one site.
