I wish to Downgrade Phone plan & Upgrade Broadband...

Hello,
I am currently on the Unlimited Evening & Weekend Calls Phone Calling Plan with 10GB limit Broadband Plan.
Because I use the internet more than I use the phone, I would like to be able to downgrade my Phone plan to Weekend Calls and upgrade my Broadband plan to Unlimited Broadband. Therefore costing me £1 extra a month overall since the Phone Downgrade would be £2 less a month and the Broadband Upgrade would be £3 extra a month.
I'm unable to downgrade my Phone plan online but is it possible for this to be done? Maybe by BT over the phone or something?
If so, please can you somebody tell me how i can set this up and what number to call?
And again if that can be done, I would then change my Broadband plan to the Unlimited Broadband at £13/month which I can do myself online.
Just thought it would be ideal to get it all done at the same time online or over the phone, preferably without having to speak to someone in India.
Please can somebody get back to me soon on this and let me know soon?
Thanks.

Well what a waste of time and effort that was trying to call BT yesterday!!!
Because I just bought a BT Sport viewing card, my whole BT account resets again from new and I have to wait 12 months if I want to change my phone package
They are afraid of me wanting to leave BT within 12 months  I told them I've never attempted to try and leave BT. If I went with anyone else I wouldn't be able to use BT Vision. Can't they see that?  I certainly wouldn't go back to Sky. Virgin isn't available in my area.
They are more than welcome for me to spend more money and upgrade my Internet to Unlimited Broadband but can't downgrade the phone line until 12 months has elapsed after buying the viewing card
They kept saying 'BT Sport is free'. I said 'How can it be free, I had to pay £10 for a viewing card'. They said again 'BT Sport IS free'. It might be free AFTER you buy a viewing card with no subscription to pay. I said that if I had to pay anything over £0 and 0 pence then it's not free!
So had I changed my package before getting the viewing card, they may have been OK with that, but now I have to wait until 12 months has elapsed after buying my viewing card about 3 weeks ago
I'm not happy with you one bit BT
I ended up slamming the phone down on them

  • Want to downgrade phone/plan

I currently have a BlackBerry but I am looking to downgrade to decrease my bill ( get rid of data plan) , will I be penalized with extra fees for changing plan? I recently renewed my contract for 2 years

How recently? And did you renew directly with Verizon, or with a third party like Wirefly, Best Buy, or other reseller?
Verizon does not charge a fee for changing plans or phones during the terms of the contract - you can swap phones and plans as often as you like (just be aware of pro-rating if you change plans in the middle of a billing cycle!)
Third party vendors and resellers may have restrictions on the devices and plans though; in order to get rid of your data plan you WILL need to change devices, which may trigger a fee through the RESELLER's contract during the initial months.  READ the contract you signed.
If you have everything directly with Verizon, no worries, and no fees to switch phones to one that does not require the data plan.

  • I wish to downgrade my iCloud as I have a larger phone memory

I wish to downgrade the size of my iCloud it says I can do it on my phone, but cant find where?

    Hi PetaCSmallman,
By "downgrade the size of my iCloud" it sounds like you are referring to your iCloud storage amount.
iCloud storage upgrades and downgrades - Apple Support
If you're using iOS 8, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage. If you're using an earlier version of iOS, go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup.
    Tap Change Storage Plan.
Tap Downgrade Options and enter your Apple ID password.
Choose a different plan to use when your current storage plan expires.
    Tap Done.
    Hope that's what you need.

  • Family Plan Upgrade to New Phones/Activation

    Hi,
My mom is the primary line for our family plan. We have 3 other lines besides hers in the plan. All the phonelines are eligible for upgrades right now, but my mom's line has an extra $50 dollars off upgrade discount.
My question is, if my mom's line is upgraded to a certain phone, does that certain phone have to be activated using her phone number, or could I activate her phone and use it with my phone number?
Reason being is, she doesn't want a fancy phone but her line has nicer phones to upgrade to since she has the $50 discount. I was wondering if she could upgrade to that phone, but then if I could activate it using my phone number (so in effect the phone would actually be mine without my phone number having to change)?
    Thanks,
    MM
Oh I was also wondering, when it says "Data Pack required" for a phone that I want to upgrade to, do I have to get a data pack in order to upgrade to the phone or get one after upgrading to the phone? Can I just upgrade to the phone without using data or getting a data pack?

My question is, if my mom's line is upgraded to a certain phone, does that certain phone have to be activated using her phone number, or could I activate her phone and use it with my phone number?  Yes, you can do this.  If you order in-store or over the phone, just explain what you want to do to the rep and they will take care of it.  If you order online, have your Mom click on the "transfer upgrade" button next to her line and that will start the process.

Note that any phone that is eligible to upgrade can purchase any of the phones that Verizon currently offers at the 1 or 2 year contract price.  The only difference in what is available to your Mom's line is the $50 credit ON TOP of the reduced contract price.
    Thanks,

You must have a data package active on the line that the phone is active on at all times.  When you activate the phone on any line, you will be automatically prompted to select an appropriate data package,

  • Upgrading phone at 12 months on  a single phone plan at $59.99

Okay so in February I bought the original Motorola Droid. At the time I was thinking about just signing up for a one year plan but I wanted to use my NE2 discount so i went with the two year agreement. I had heard that if you had the $59.99 plan or higher you could upgrade the phone at 12 months instead of the 20 months. (I want to point out that I only have one phone on my plan so no family plan) When I called a few days later about something the guy on the phone told me that that was true but since I hardly even used 450 minutes to just sign up for the $39.99 plan and after 8 months go back up to the $59.99 plan so that I would not have to pay so much over those months. He said I just had to pay the $59.99 for at least 3 months prior to the 12 months. So last month I changed my plan to the $59.99 plan since February 2011 would be 12 months.
Today when I called because I had to make payment plans for my bill I wanted to be reassured that I could get a new phone in february so i asked the lady if it was accurate. My Verizon still said that my upgrade wasnt until 10/04/2010. She told me that she had no clue what I was talking about because they dont decide upgrade times on you plan pricing. That its all just two years. I know if you have a primary phone on a family plan you get an upgrade every 12 months and I also heard if your plan is $49.99 or more it is 12 months. I got upset because for 2 months now I have been paying over $20 more a month hinking I could upgrade but since she said I couldnt I told her just to change my plan back to the $39.99 plan. I was going to ask for a refund of the last two months of paying $20 more but she was being kind of bitchy so I didnt even worry about it. I figured I will just go into a store when I go home from college in a week.
Pretty much I just want to know if I am able to upgrade at 12 months if I had the $59.99 calling plan on my phone plan. Like I said I just have the one phone. On top of that I am payign for everything else so my new bills were like $140-$150 for november and december.

I changed my base calling plan to the $59.99 from the $39.99. On top of the $59.99 for 900 minutes(I dont even use 200 of the minutes) I also pay $20 for texting and the $29.99 for data plus everything like insurence, etc. I probably shouldnt have told her to change my plan back until i talked with someone else but I was so upset. Like I said I will just go into a store and ask someone. I just wanted to get more input from people here on what they knew.

  • Paid off my phone plan however it's not updated and am due an upgrade

Hello Basically I paid me very last £25 phone plan payment for my htc one however I paid it with my standard standing order however it's been 24 hours and it's not shown on my account as been paid and still says I owe that much. Now am due an upgrade since my o2 refresh contact has finished however why wouldn't it let me upgrade and still shows that £25 is due even though I paid it bang on 12am on the 10/7/2015. It says it takes 24 hours for it too show on to my account.

Hi      As long as the payment is showing as successful, Upgrades can place the order for you over the phone.   So all you need to do is call 202, and choose the Upgrades option. You may even get a better deal than the ones you have seen online....you never know!   Hope this helps!

  • Can I upgrade my basic phone plan to a smartphone plan, if I have my own smartphone(verizon compatible)?

Aloha, can I upgrade my basic phone plan to smartphone plan, if I have my own smartphone(verizon compatible) and not have to sign a 2 year contract or pay for "you did not buy the phone from us" extra fees?
    Thank you mo.

Yes, you can 'bring your own phone' and it shouldn't affect your current calling plan.  You'll need to add a data plan, though, if you're on a Nationwide calling plan, and you may need to adjust the data portion of your plan if you're on a More Everything plan.

  • Who to contact to downgrade iCloud plan?

It says contact Apple but I can't find a simple email to email to.. Wondering if the difficulty is deliberate...

How long ago did you purchase the upgrade? If it's more than 15 days you cannot downgrade the plan until its next renewal date. You don't need to contact support to do that - please see
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mm12eecb08e7
If you are still within 15 days of purchasing the upgrade, it gets more complicated: Apple seem to have made this as difficult as possible. You may be able to do this using http://expresslane.apple.com - Click on 'More products and services', then 'iCloud', 'Account and setup' then 'This topic is not listed'. Explain the situation in the box provided and wait for a response - include a phone number. However you may find you cannot proceed without entering a hardware serial number which is still eligible for AppleCare.
In that event you will need to phone them directly, using the Apple Online Store number given at the bottom of this page. The first person you speak to may tell you to do it from the iCloud website but this is not possible. Politely insist on escalating the issue to a more senior person and eventually you should be able to get through to someone who can deal with this (you may have to wait for them to call you back) - you will be asked security questions and for part of your credit card number to identify yourself.

  • Family Plan upgrade question

I currently have a family share plan with 5 lines.  None of the 5 phones are smartphones.  2 of the lines/phones currently have the $10/month unlimited data package (LG Voyager phone).  Our 2 year contract expires in May 2011 but we can upgrade now if we want.
Is it possible to do the following:
Upgrade one voyager to a smartphone and pay $30/month data package
Upgrade the other voyager to a non-smartphone and keep the $10/month data package
Upgrade one of the other lines to a non-smartphone and have the $10/month data package
Upgrade the other two lines to non-smartphones with no data package
We were in a store and it was difficult to get a clear answer.  It seemed that once one phone goes to the $30/month data plan then all other phones must have a $30/month plan as well.  Also, they implied we could no longer be on the same family share plan (700 minutes, unlimited text).  Perhaps I mis-interpreted what they were saying.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ahhh, the old Connect/Select plan, where you could get the unlimited on 3G phones for $10 a month....unfortunately, those days, and that plan is long gone.    Our 2 year contract expires in May 2011 but we can upgrade now if we want.
Is it possible to do the following:
Upgrade one voyager to a smartphone and pay $30/month data package  Yes.
Upgrade the other voyager to a non-smartphone and keep the $10/month data package  No.  The new plans/phones do not allow this.  Your plan will be changed to the current Talk & Text (equivalent of the Select) with unlimited texting on all lines.  You can add a $10 data package for a feature phone, but it will have a limit of 75 MB.
Upgrade one of the other lines to a non-smartphone and have the $10/month data package No - same as above.
Upgrade the other two lines to non-smartphones with no data package Yes.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm not sure that' s what you wanted to hear, but it is likely what you will be facing.  There's a possibility you can keep what you have if you get all feature phones, but upgrading any of the lines to a smartphone will force a plan change to the Talk & Text, since the smartphone doesn't play nice with the old Connect/Select plans.

  • Can I Convert My 5GB Internet Only to Phone Plan???

Hmmmm, over 50 views & not one reply to my earlier queery . . . perhaps I did not phrase my question clearly.
I currently have a Verizon 5GB Internet Only plan that I started in December 2010 with the acquisition of my MiFi 2200 HotSpot.  At first all was great, but in the last two months, not only has the speed degraded to the point where it's not even worth trying to download a video from YouTube or partake in a conversation with friends, but my usage seems to have gone through the roof!
Before I was using 3 ~ 4 GB / month, two months ago it was 5 GB & this past month, I had to pay an extra $10 for my overage of 1 GB.  I am only home during the evenings & early mornings, and only have my mac mini & mac book currently hooked up to the network which I have been told is "well-protected" & secure.
That all said, I am less than thrilled with the MiFi HotSpot system & am exploring other options for my internet access.  I currently have my cell phone with another carrier & that contract will expire in two months.
What I wanted to know, was if there was a way that I might be able to "transfer" the balance (18 months) of my Verizon contract to a cell phone plan without incurring the exhorbitant Early Termination Fees.
Any help or ideas would be much appreciated.

I would like to thank all of our community members for your support.  Here is the deal, since you are under contract if you cancel the line there would be an Early Termination fee.  However, as a loyal customer we will allow you to turn the line into a voice line.  You will have to provide your own phone or purchase a phone at full retail value.  There are always rules regarding data lines and this solution will not fit every case.  I recommend that if anyone else is thinking about switching their lines from data to voice or vice versa, that you call our customer service department to discuss you individual options.
Our Customer Service Department is open from 6:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., daily. If you wish to speak to a representative, please call  1-800-922-0204 from a different phone.

  • TS4009 How do I get my money back from an iCluod storage plan upgrade that I don't want?

How do I get my money back from an iCluod storage plan upgrade that I don't want?

You can cancel an iCloud storage upgrade within 15 days of buying:
Apple have made this as difficult as possible. However two posters have managed to achieve this. Elizellen was able to use Express Lane to get a refund:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/19323996#19323996
However if you use Express Lane may find you cannot proceed without entering a hardware serial number which is still eligible for AppleCare.  julia22 managed to find a way round that by phoning them - please see this post:
    https://discussions.apple.com/message/16968425#16968425
it gives the USA number - if you don't live there you will have to find an equivalent number from the 'Contact Us' link at bottom right of this page.
If it is more than 15 days since you purchased the storage you cannot cancel it for a refund; you can downgrade your plan as from your next renewal date. Please see
    http://help.apple.com/icloud/#mmd602084a
and expand 'Downgrade your storage for the next plan year'.

  • Phone Firmware upgrade Startegy for 9.1 -- 10.5 migration

    Hello,
We are planning our migration from CUCM 9.1 to 10.5.
I want to do a phone firmware upgrade before upgrading the cluster, to minimize phone upgrades. Planning to use PFD (Peer File) for this.
My question is, what would be the best strategy to upgrade the firmware?
I am not sure if the current load in 9.1 will be supported by 10.5, and if 10.5 device pack/load is installed on 9.1, would 9.1 support it.
So should I upload the 10.5 pack on 9.1 and upgrade the phones in groups, or would 10.5 support it.
The other thing is, I just want to confirm, after a cluster reboot/version switch (in upgrade), would the phones restart and try to upgrade or would only try to connect to available CUCM.
The compatibility Matrix is a bit confusing.
    Thanks,
    AK.

    Thanks for the reply guys.
I DID try to upload the 10.5 pack in CUCM 9.1, but it rejected it. so no way it will do that. For the file this is what I understand:
1- COP files: contain script to upgrade the firmware
2- loads files: contains the actual firmware
So would a good strategy be:
-Register all phones on Sub first. Keep Sub as Primary.
    -Upgrade Publisher.
-Register a group of phones on Upgraded publisher (by making changes on PUB), by making Pub primary for them.
-the Phone group Upgrades the firmware
-Group of Phone gets upgraded. move to next group.
-After all Phones are upgraded, upgrade the sub.
If there is a better way to do it, please let me know. The biggest challenge we have is to get all 3000 phones migrated in 1 night.
    Thanks guys. Appreciate it!

  • Plan upgrade

I have a few questions regarding upgrading a Feature Phone plan to Smartphones.  But first, a few facts.
    * We have two lines on our account, both Feature Phones.
    * We currently have a basic 700-minute plan with no text or data.
    * I have been "eligible for upgrade" since August.
    * Our contract ends in December.
Now, I understand to add a smartphone, we must also add data per line.  It would be nice to have data on both lines, but our finances won't allow the expense for another few months yet.  Ideally, we'd like to wait to upgrade our plans until March or so.  So, here are my questions.
    * When our contract ends in December, must we renew?
    * What happens to the "eligible for upgrade" status at that time?
    * Can the upgrade be postponed another three months?
    * If we do add data (2GB), does that automatically include unlimited messaging?
    * What does 2GB translate to in real-world amounts?  How many minutes of streaming video, for example?
I know whenever we upgrade, a two-year contract will begin then.  I was wondering if we could still upgrade at the discounted rate even if we re-upped the contract three months prior.
    Thanks.

    zeppelinmage wrote:
    * When our contract ends in December, must we renew? No, your service will then be on "month-to-month" status.  Your plan will continue with its current features until you change, and you can cancel without penalty at any time.
    * What happens to the "eligible for upgrade" status at that time? You remain eligible to sign a new 2 year contract on either of the lines, which means you can purchase phones at a subsidized price.  Your primary line is probably eligible for a "New Every 2" credit or "loyalty discount" of $30 or $50 on top of the subsidized price for a new phone.  This discount is only valid for 6 months after it becomes available, so it will expire in February.
    * Can the upgrade be postponed another three months? Yes.
    * If we do add data (2GB), does that automatically include unlimited messaging? No.  If you want unlimited messaging, you will have to change to a "Talk and Text" plan.  These plans cost $30 more each month than the "Talk" plan with the same number of minutes, so unlimited messaging would increase your monthly bill by $30.
    * What does 2GB translate to in real-world amounts?  How many minutes of streaming video, for example?  Verizon has a data calcuator you can use at this link: http://www.verizonwireless.com/splash_includes/datacalculator.html
    Hope that helps!

Does this mean that I have to upgrade my plan to the 4G fleix cap to receive a cellular compatibility?
Or do I have to purchase a locked in contract with them for this issue to be resovled?
