  • Having trouble to join the Creative Cloud Student Plan

I've been trying to join the Creative Cloud student plan, but after i provide all my personal information like address, college name, credit card etc and confirm that i want to join it, the website shows an error message and tells me to try again. How should i proceed?

John, the error message was basically:
"There was a problem processing your request, please contact our Customer Service team on the number 0800 8921704 for assistance." (translated)
''Houve um problema ao processar o seu pedido, entre em contato com nossa equipe de Atendimento ao cliente no número 0800 8921704 para obter assistência.'' (original in portuguese)

Hi! I just joined the creative cloud. As a photographer I would like to download photoshop and lightroom. When I try to do this, before the download starts, I get the message: 'we are experiencing some problems, please try later'. I've tried multiple times for the last 3 days but no change... Any ideas?

Michelmolder please try utilizing a different web browser.  If you continue to experience difficulties then I would recommend reviewing Install and update apps - https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/help/install-apps.html for information on how to install Photoshop and Lightroom directly through the Creative Cloud Desktop application.

  • I have have my photos in the Creative Cloud but cant see them with Ligthroom.

I have have my photos in the Creative Cloud but cant see them with Ligthroom.
These photos were sent to me by photgraphers who have edited the photos and added captions and technicala information that shoudl be seen in Lightroom.
I cant open the photos that are in Creative Cloud in Lightroom and therefore acant access the captions and the other specifics regarding copyright etc
    Any help would be great
    Thanks

The photos on CC will be synced to a folder on your hard drive.
You need to import into Lightroom from that folder.
If you have them on Behance, it’s possible to use the  Publish Services tab.

  • Considering moving to the Creative Cloud but have an important question...

I'm considering moving to the Creative Cloud but have some concerns. if, for example, after spending 1500+ over the next three years on the Creative Cloud and by then, presumably at version CS9 or CS10, will I be able to continue using the CS9 or CS10 products as I would have, had I bought the retail software?
I know if I continue to simply buy upgrades to retail items and stop at CS9 I will be able to use those products forever so I am not seeing the incentive here if that is the case.
Your confirmation is much appreciated so that I can move on to decide on my next steps.
    Cheers,
    Chris

No. It's an all-or-nothing exit policy at the moment.
When you stop paying your monthly fee, you lose all access to Adobe software (unless you already own a pre-Cloud version which you can fall back on).
Many requests have been made to relax the exit policy and permit users to perhaps pay a residual fee to keep using whichever version is current when they leave the Cloud. But that hasn't yet been offered by Adobe. Personally I don't expect it to ever be offered.
PS how much will you spend on the retail versions over the next three years given that you must upgrade with every new version under Adobe's new upgrade policy introduced with the CS6 cycle? i.e you can no longer skip a version and still qualify for upgrade pricing next version.
Licensing issues aside, in effect, you never really "own" the software if you want to stay current. Both Cloud and retail are now effectively subscription models.
The choice really boils down to upfront $$ vs monthly $$.

The primary incentive is full access to the entire Master Collection for a low monthly fee. Don't have to outlay thousands of dollars upfront.
    You also get:
additional Cloud services (host up to 5 websites etc)
multi-platform licenses (activate on Win/Win, Mac/Mac or Win/Mac for the same monthly fee. Retail items are single platform only)
early access to new software features for Cloud members only. As soon as Adobe finishes writing and testing the code, Cloud members get it. Retail users must wait for CS6.5 or CS7. Depends if living on the bleeding edge of Adobe software interests you. As we all know, change is the only constant these days.

  • I purchased the creative cloud, but needed it sooner than available...

i purchased the creative cloud, but needed it sooner than available, so I downloaded the free trial version so I could get some homework assignments done for my college courses. The reason I couldn't use the creative cloud right away was to verify that I was going to an actual college this semester. I then received an email stating that my creative cloud membership was approved. I already installed like three programs to my computer. Do I need to uninstall or delete those programs because they are under the trial version?

It is not require to reinstall the products, launch any products and click on help > sign out. Then sign in back.

  • There is an update to lightroom 5 but does that require I join the creative cloud?

I was notified that there is an update to lightroom 5.  Does receiving the update require purchasing the creative cloud formate?

The "update" is really what most people would call an "upgrade" to a new version -- Lightroom 6 or Lightroom CC.  You can buy the stand-alone perpetual-license upgrade for $79 from Adobe.com: Products.  Scroll to Lightroom 6 and click the Buy -- you'll then be given the upgrade option.

  • I subscribed to Photoshop CC through the creative cloud but it keeps asking for registration

I subscribed to Photoshop cc through the creative cloud which has been registered. Whenever I open Photoshop it asks for registration?

Registering does no good and I had similar problems with the full Adobe package for a year and now it's still not working right with this photographers package. I've been watching for a fix for a long while now and nothing here ever helps. They assume you are not registered usually, but of course that's not the case. After all this time this problem remains for many people. After a while you just live with it and pray that you don't have an internet outage and miss a deadline.
Pro software should not have a system this flawed.

  • Subsribed to the Creative Cloud but I can only "test" Photoshop, Illustrator etc.

Just subscribed and I wanted to install all the fine programs. I wanted InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and all the other big ones. Instead I am seeing a "test" button on the creative cloud launcher and next to programs like Edge Inspect CC it says install. So why can't I install Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro, After Effects, Dreamweaver ? In the Information Page about Creative Cloud Memberships it said that you get all the programs to install and not to test..
Please someone help me.. I hope I didn't subscribe for sth I in the end don't want ...

Erikkli if you valid membership is not being authorized then it is due to a connection error between the computer and our activation servers.  Please see Sign in, activation, or connection errors | CC, CS6, CS5.5 - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/policy-pricing/activation-network-issues.html for information on how to resolve the activation error.
