I won an ipod2 in a contest and have sprint for my cell phone carrier. Can I use sprint as a carrier on this ipad or does it have to be verizon or at&t?
I'm surprised that it doesn't say on the box. Does it say either "CDMA" or "GSM"? You can also check the model number; unless the information I found is incorrect, the GSM/AT&T model is A1396 and the CDMA/Verizon model is A1397. You can also look for a SIM slot. The Version-model iPad 2 doesn't have even an empty slot, if memory serves.

In the list of plugins on the left, there should be one—and only one—entry for "Adobe Flash Player," showing the same version number that you installed. Select that entry. You may be prompted for your login password.
Step 7
Re-download and reinstall Flash. Download it from the domain "get.adobe.com". Don't click a link from any other website, including this one, because you can't trust links. They may be an attempt to trick you into installing malware masquerading as Flash. Type the address into the browser window. Never download a Flash update from anywhere else.
Step 8
If you get a "missing plug-in" error, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Security
from the Safari menu bar and check the box marked
Allow (or Enable) plug-ins
Then click the button marked
Manage Website Settings...
if present and make sure that the website is not blocked for Flash.

Select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
from the Safari menu bar. If any extensions are installed, disable them. -
I want to give an iPad to my wife to use for work, but her employer won't let her upgrade her Macbook from Leopard to Lion. It's pointless if she can't use iCloud. Is there a workaround?
So far Apple has not upgraded the other Mac OS X versions to iCloud. She can manually enter information to be synced in the cloud but that is really tedious.

Really?!? As an Android phone user, I find that Apple does everything the hard way. Android is much simpler to use, in my opinion. You want to delte a photo or an app? Just delete it from your device. It won't keep popping by up every time you do a sync with iTunes........oh, wait. You don't have to do that on an Android device .
Good thing I like Android, because after today's announcement, when my now obsolete, no longer being made or sold iPad 3 bites the dust (obviously sooner than later since Apple is no longer making it for "some" reason......hint, hint) I will return to an Android device for my next tablet. I waivered back and forth numerous times before I decided to go with the iPad 3 over an Android tablet. My bad! Thanks, Apple. Lesson learned. -

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.
If the device is wiped by you or another, you may not be able to locate the device (although some have reported they can) -

Apple changed MobileMe to iCloud and then restricted iCloud to 10.7 users only unfortunately
If your machine is a 64 bit processor Intel Mac you can upgrade to 10.7 for $29, however a lot of your 10.5/10.6/Rosetta based software could cease to function, especially third party hardware drivers for printers, fax machines, all-in-ones, scanners etc.

Also depending how old the machine is, if it can accept 4GB of RAM (preferred), older video card, may not run 10.7 very well or stable.
My advice is to keep at 10.6.8, get a web based email service that's plaform/hardware neutral, forward your iPhone emails there. Gmail/Yahoo Mail for instance.
When your ready for new hardware and all new software, then buy a new machine.
If your going to go to 10.7 on your present hardware, I advise you clone 10.6.8 to a external drive first, that way you can c boot off the 10.6 disk erase the drive completely (necessary to remove hidden Lion Recovery Partition) and option boot off the 10.6.8 clone and reverse clone.

2. Verify that you're using the same Apple ID that you're using on your iPhone.
3. On your iPad or iPod touch, sign out of your Apple ID in the following locations:
- Settings > Messages > Send & Receive. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
- Settings > FaceTime. Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
4. Sign in to your Apple ID with FaceTime and iMessage.

Hi, I updated my iPhone 4 from iOS 5.1 to 5.1.1 and now it won't connect to 3g, it only gets EDGE, does anyone have the same issue? Anyone knows how to fix it? Thanks
Yeah, it´s happening in normal 3g coverage area, in fact, i used the 3g to download the iOS but after installing it, the phone doesn't get the 3g anymore.
I tryed the reboot pocess, but it didn't fix it
I haven't tryed the restore to factory settings process,
Is there a way to downgrade to iOS 5.1 again?

I have a Sony AC-U50AD charger can I use it on my ipod touch and ipad mini - there is a switch for "ipod" - I've had the adapter for several years and I think it's ok for my ipod touch but since it pre-dates both of these products I want to try and make sure it's ok to use with them before I do use it. If iTunes does not see your iPod then your only hope is a data recovery company. Not cheap.
However, you may be able to get some photos by:

Hi. I'm trying to upgrade my 3g iPad 1 software from 3.2.2 to 5.0.1. iTunes tells me that I need to upgrade. It then backs up my iPad OK. But then it won't 'restore' and the upgrade fails.
Does anyone have any suggestions, please.

We have 3 ipods and 2 ipads in our house, with one computer. I have set up my own itunes account and one each for my two Daughters. When I try to add music or sync their ipads/ipods, my own library with my own music comes up, even when I have signed out of my own account and put their account in. Am I able to have 3 accounts on the same computer with seperate music libaries and able to sync without each persons music syncing onto the wrong device? Thank you.

When will Apple ever make it convenient for the customer, I just bought an iPad Air and I'm very upset that I can only use iMessage, iPads are the biggest mistake to buy if you like texting family and friends.
