I wonder if the iPhone 5 supports 4G LTE

I wonder if the iPhone 5 supports 4G LTE network in Chile or whether to wait for an update that is due

I will be ordering 3 iPhone 5's and have decided to get Applecare+ on two of them. I've suffered through the broken Home button on my iPhone 4 long enough to convince me to get it. Plus the accidental damage replacement would be a lot of comfort. The only reason I'm not getting it for all three is one of the phones is for my grown daughter and I figure if she wants it she can buy it herself.

I assume you mean Voice over LTE (VoLTE)? If so, I do not believe it does. It certainly doesn't with my carrier (Verizon).

NFC and bluetooth are not the same thing.
The iPhone (no currently existing model) does not have the hardware required for NFC.

  • Does the iPhone 4S support the 5GHz band?

While the iPhone 4 supported 803.11(n), it did so only on the 2.4GHz band.  I can't find any information about this for the 4S.  Does anyone know if it supports the 5Ghz band?
Sorry....I asked too quickly.  The answer is NO.  See http://www.apple.com/iphone/specs.html

I wan't to use my 5ghz wifi on my iPhone 4S but it can't see the SSID for my 5ghz network. The specs page for the iPhone 4S states it uses:
    802.11a/b/g/n Wi-Fi (802.11n 2.4GHz and 5GHz).
No, it does not state that.
The 4S does not have the 5GHz radio.

Does the iPhone 6  support use of bluetooth enabled mouse?

I'd really like to think so as well, who's using a tempered glass for the screen an a similar film/glass for the backplate that can shed some realistic light on this query? help is much appreciated.
people tend to get a bit hysterical when they see my uncased 4s, and yet after 2.5 it is still in better shape than everyone else's.....so if that's gonna be the case with the 6 plus I'll be satisfied.
I understand the 6 (and 6 plus) have a cureved screen and that most glass protectors are a bit dorky and dont go all the way to the end. would ones that go all the way be more fragile and by that endanger the screen or is full coverage better? is there a suggested tempered glass protector for the 6 plus?

It does...  I saw a photo of the relevant slide that was put up during the iOS 6 announcement, but am too lazy to look for it now.
It's possible it may not have made it into the final release. Apple never made any statements about it as far as I know beyond the slide referenced.
Near the end of the iOS portion of the keynote, Apple showed a slide listing a host of other features included in the iOS 6 update. Among those were Game Center challenges, the ability to connect Game Center friends from Facebook, VoiceOver improvements, personal dictionary in iCloud (for adding your own terms to the dictionary, which can sync between devices), and per-account signatures in Mail. Also on the list was improved privacy, which—as a new option in Settings—will let you control which apps can access which bits of personal data, like your Contacts, Calendar, or Photos. Other features on the list included autocorrection for every keyboard,Bluetooth MAP support (which is commonly used to help cars better offer hands-free communication with Bluetooth devices), kernel ASLR (which aims to make data even more impervious to snooping from malicious attackers), custom vibrations for alerts, redesigned stores (for the App and iTunes stores), IPv6 support for Wi-Fi and LTE, word highlights for speak selection, improved keyboard layouts, alarms with songs, and faster JavaScript in Safari. Apple also says iOS 6 includes a global HTTP proxy option, which would supplant the current approach, limited as it is to per-connection proxy settings."

    No.
(I'd put the link up but I think Verizon would delete/edit my post).
From a New York Time's piece, "It was Apples decision to design the iPhone 5 so that customers could only make voice calls and do Internet activity simultaneously only over Wi-Fi, not over Verizon cell network."
    The reason why...
"The explanation for this, it turns out, is complicated. The technology  in 4G LTE networks does not currently handle voice transmissions; it  only does data. So when you place a phone call on a 4G LTE smartphone,  it’s actually rolling back to the carrier’s older second- or  third-generation network, according to AnandTech, a Web publication that  does deep analysis on hardware."
