I work a long list. Each line has a link that I click on to work. I then click submit. It does not return to the last line worked. Goes to the begining.

I go to the Insurance Auto Auction website to access a list of vehicles up for auction. When using "explorer" I can follow the link and set a bid value then click submit. It will return me to the last position on one the list. Firefox will sometimes doe this too but more often than not it brings me back to the top of the list. When I am looking at 300 units this becomes very frustrating.

Try opening each link in a new Tab, and when you're done with each Tab, close it. The "list" page will be sitting exactly where you left it, ''unless that page did an automatic refresh to add newer information while you were viewing a different tab.''
Middle-click a link
or use { Ctrl + click }
or right-click and use Open Link in New Tab

  • How do I prevent Pages from pushing paragraphs to next page when they would otherwise begin on the last line of the previous page?

    I am writing papers for school which have strict page limits so I can't afford to be losing lines at the bottom of a page because Pages thinks it looks better to have a new paragraph start on the next page. It does this automatically and I have to go back and manually format to get the first line of the paragraph to start on the last line of the previous page. This then creates problems down the line when I am editing so I would really like to be able to turn the feature off.
    e.g. with Pages auto-formatting
    -----page 1-----
         Paragraph #1 blah blah
    blah blah blah
         Paragraph #2 blah blah
    blah blah blah
    -----page 2-----
         Paragraph #3 blah blah
    blah blah
    e.g. after manual formatting
    -----page 1-----
         Paragraph #1 blah blah
    blah blah blah
         Paragraph #2 blah blah
    blah blah blah
         Paragraph #3 blah blah
    -----page 2-----
    blah blah

    ince updating my firefox browser whenever i click on an internet link in an email it does not open on firefox athough my mac switches to the firefox window as i have this set to be my default browser- what should i do?

    I have the same problem, and I also wondered if Google toolbar has anything to do with it. There GMAIL was set as the default mail application at first. I have removed that setting, but Firefox 4.0.1 continues to use GMAIL instead of Outlook which is my selection for mailto handling.

    Identify Your iPad
    http://www.ifixit.com/Info/ID-your-iPad
    If you have an iPad 1, the max iOS is 5.1.1. For newer iPads, the current iOS is 7.0.4. The Settings>General>Software Update only appears if you have iOS 5.0 or higher currently installed.
    You can no longer update to iOS 6.x, or down grade the iOS.

    iOS: How to update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4623
    If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect the iPad to the computer, open iTunes. Then select the iPad under the Devices heading on the left, click on the Summary tab and then click on Check for Update.
    Tip - If connected to your computer, you may need to disable your firewall and antivirus software temporarily.  Then download and install the iOS update. Be sure and backup your iPad before the iOS update. After you update an iPad (except iPad 1) to iOS 6.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).
    Tip 2 - If you're updating via wifi, place your iPad close to your router to preclude getting a corrupted download.
    How to Upgrade to iOS 7
    The iOS 7.0 update requires around 2.5 GB of storage space, so if your iPad is almost full, you may need to clear up some space. You can check your available space in Settings -> General -> Usage.
    There are two ways to upgrade to iOS 7: You can use your Wi-Fi connection, or you can connect your iPad to your PC and update through iTunes. We'll go over each method.
    To upgrade using Wi-Fi:
    Note: If your iPad's battery is under 50%, you will want to plug it into your charger while performing the update.
    Go into the iPad's Settings.
    Locate and tap "General" from the menu on the left.
    The second option from the top is "Software Update". Tap this to move into the update settings.
    Tap "Download and Install". This will start the upgrade, which will take several minutes and will reboot your iPad during the process. If the Download and Install button is grayed out, trying clearing up some space. The space required by the update is mostly temporary, so you should gain most of it back after iOS 7 is installed.
    Once the update is installed, you may have to run through the initial steps of setting up your iPad again. This is to account for new features and settings.
    To upgrade using iTunes:
    First, connect your iPad to your PC or Mac using the cable provided when you purchased your device. This will allow iTunes to communicate with your iPad.
    You will also need the latest version of iTunes. Don't worry, you will be prompted to download the latest version when you launch iTunes. Once it installs, you may be asked to setup iCloud by logging into your iTunes account. If you have a Mac, you may be prompted on whether or not you want to enable the Find my Mac feature.
    Now you are ready to begin the process:
    If you upgraded iTunes earlier, go ahead and launch it. (For many, it will launch automatically when you plug in your iPad.)
    Once iTunes is launched, it should automatically detect that a new version of the operating system exists and prompt you to upgrade to it. Choose Cancel. Before updating, you will want to manually sync your iPad to make sure everything is up to date.
    After canceling the dialog box, iTunes should automatically sync with your iPad.
    If iTunes doesn't automatically sync, you can manually do it by selecting your iPad within iTunes, clicking on the File menu and choosing Sync iPad from the list.
    After your iPad has been synced to iTunes, select your iPad within iTunes. You can find it on the left side menu under Devices.
    From the iPad screen, click on the Update button.
    After verifying that you want to update your iPad, the process will begin. It takes a few minutes to update the operating system during which time your iPad may reboot a few times.
    After updating, you may be asked a few questions when your device finally boots back up. This is to account for new settings and features.

  • How can I get the size of all lines or the last line number in a DB?

    I want to display a certain number of lines from a DB.
    But before I fetch them out, I must know how many lines of this DB has.
    I donnot know if there is some methods have this function. I know the last() method can move the cursor to the last line, but some DB cannot support this function.
    Could someone know the answer or some examples about displaying data in a jsp?
    Thanks a lot.

    To get the number of rows in a ResultSet, loop over the result set with while(res.next()). Read each row into an object. Add each object into a, say, LinkedList. At the end, you will have the rows nicely converted to objects (which you probably should do anyway), and list.size() will give the number of objects.
    There are other ways to get the number of objects, but list.size() is the easy and reliable way. If you don't need the rows converted to objects ...why did you select them in the first place?
    Tricks with last() and whatnot sort of work. They read the entire result set into memory. But you'll need to write the while(res.next()) loop anyway. No point in having the computer do the same thing twice.

  • Only the last line item is shown in main window...

    Hello Experts,
    I created a custom form for the standard checque program RFFOUS_C. Now, in my MAIN window, I
    called a subroutine in a custom program which loops through the line items but the problem is
    only the last line item is being shown. I tried using CONTROL_FORM to create a new line
    but it does not work. Note that I did not customize RFFOUS_C since it is being used by
    multiple companies. Below is my code:

  • How to read the last line in a txt file?

    Dear all,
    I want to read the last line in a txt file. There are thousands of lines in this file. What I want is to move the file pointer directly to the last line of the file. But I did not know how do to it. Can anybody help me out?

  • JSP for Vcard cannot strip carriage return in the last line of the file.

    I am using JSP to output a Vcard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VCard)

    <c:out value="${fn:replace('END:VCARD','\\\r','')}" escapeXml="false"/>After some tests, I discovered that Mac (I used Tiger, latest update, not Leopard) needs extra white space and carriage returns stripped off. Once this is achieved, the vcard will automatically import into Address Book. I have followed other forums which advice on using JSP comments as in the code above. But for some strange reason the last line of the JSP outputs an extra carraige return. How do I get rid of the carriage return at the end of the file? the replace function from JSTL is not working.
    Edited by: shogo2040 on Dec 18, 2008 7:11 PM : I added more detail to the Subject

    I originally had that END:VCARD without any carriage return.
    But I still get an extra carriage return at the end when the JSP renders to VCF
    I'm using Tomcat running on Linux.
    I found this, article which implies (but does not explicitly say) JSP in general adds a newline to the last line:
    http://www.caucho.com/resin-3.0/jsp/faq.xtp (But its not tomcat either, so maybe this info is irrelevant).
    Edited by: shogo2040 on Dec 22, 2008 3:31 PM - changed rendered to VCF from rendered to JSP

  • Add a different character to the last line of a loop

    Hi,
    I'm attempting to use some pl/sql to generate an RMAN copy script. After each line there needs to be comma, but the last line of the loop should have a semi-colon to terminate the statement. How can I do that?

  • Xquery does not return any results on 10.2.0.4, does work on 10.2.0.5

    I have a Xquery statement that works as expected on Oracle 10.2.0.5 but does not return any results on Oracle 10.2.0.4.
    Is this the result of a badly written query? A bug in 10.2.0.4?
    Is there a way to rewrite the query so that is does work on 10.2.0.4?
    Testcode:
    declare
       l_xml xmltype;
       -- Select layers with TileMatrixSet EPSG:28992
       cursor c_layer(p_xml xmltype) is

                          ,'for $d in //Layer[TileMatrixSetLink/TileMatrixSet="EPSG:28992"] return $d' passing
                          p_xml columns title varchar2(100) path 'ows:Title'
                          ,format varchar2(100) path 'Format'

       end loop;
    end;Result on 10.2.0.5:
    brtachtergrondkaart
    top10nl
    bgt

    This one's strange indeed.
    I can reproduce on 10.2.0.4 and one of the following seems to fix it :
    1) Specifying the column list in the SELECT, instead of t.* :
       -- Select layers with TileMatrixSet EPSG:28992
       cursor c_layer(p_xml xmltype) is
          select t.title, t.format, t.style
            from xmltable(or,
    2) Using an extended FLWOR expression :
    for $d in //Layer
    where $d/TileMatrixSetLink/TileMatrixSet = "EPSG:28992"
    return $dMaybe you've already noticed but the problem only occurs within a PL/SQL context.
    The same query run from SQL is OK.

  • My Deskjet 1056 cuts the last line off of the page

    My Deskjet 1056 cuts half the last line of every page off. No matter what I'm printing from where. I've tried changing margins and printing areas and borders. I've heard to try changing the drivers to 990c or 450 . neither make a difference. Changing the port from bidirectional makes it worse. Even tried to change the print processor modes. No luck. Does anyone have any suggestions. When I print and alignment page the squares at the bottom print just fine and align the page just fine so that doesn't help either. I run on Windows7 I don't know if that has anything to do with it. PLEASE HELP. Thanks in advance

    Hi ! Welcome to the HP Forums. I understand you are having an issue with printouts being cut off at the bottom when printing to your HP Deskjet 1056 All-in-One printer from your Windows 7 computer. I'd love to help you with this. The first thing I would suggest would be to make a copy on the printer itself. If the bottom of the page is cut off, then it could be an issue with the hardware. If the copy comes out fine, then we know the hardware is functioning properly. If the copy comes out fine, I would suggest installing the full feature software for you printer if you haven't already. You can download the software here: HP Deskjet Full Feature Software and Drivers If that doesn't resolve the issue please download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor and let me know of any errors or messages you receive. Have you tried printing multiple documents? Or printing from alternate programs to see if it might be an issue with a specific document or program? I look forward to hearing back from you and working towards a resolution. Thanks for posting!

  • Read to get the last line from a File

    Hi
    I am sending in a clarification , hoping that I get an efficient solution from the group, should somebody have come across this scenario and implemented.
    How to read or get the last line from a text file , which usually have a no of records, without actually reading or looping through all the lines
    I know there is some solution with the RandomAccessFile, but given there can be some encoding issues or so.
    Please let me know if somebody have implemented the same.
    Thanks n advance

    The character encoding could, indeed, be an issue especially with UTF-8. I think what I'd do is to create a byte array with the encoded, expected end of line sequence in it and work on the file in bytes. For example, seek to the last 100 bytes of the file, read those bytes and look for an EOL sequence backwards. If not found read the previous 100, 200, 400 bytes etc. until you do find an end of line. Then seek to after the EOL and read normally. Remember an EOL sequence might cross a boundary.
    UTF-8 would be a problem, especially with a unix format file because you might mistake part of a multi-byte sequence for '\n'. To be reliable on UTF-8 you'd need to go back three characters looking for sequence start markers (has the previous character got the top bit set, or the one before that the first two bits set, or the one before that the top three bits). Or you could just react to an encoding exception and try another position.

  • I cant't read the last line in the grid

    hello,
    I use a grid to display a SQL query with a field-entry
    When I loop through the grid, I manage to read all lines except the line or the cursor, it keeps the old value
    Do you have an idea
    Thank you

    It's my code
            Shared Sub ItemEvent_Maj_emplacement_lot(ByRef FormUID, ByRef pVal, ByRef BubbleEvent)
                Dim EventEnum As SAPbouiCOM.BoEventTypes
                EventEnum = pVal.EventType
                If pVal.ItemUID = "1" Then
                    Dim jj As Integer
                    EventEnum = pVal.EventType
                    If EventEnum = BoEventTypes.et_CLICK Then
                        oform = SBO_application.Forms.Item(FormUID)
                       oitem = oform.Items.Item("MyGrid")
                        oGrid = oitem.Specific
                        Dim ColNum = oGrid.Columns.Count
                        Dim OgridCodeItem As Long
                        Dim OgridCodeMag As String
                        Dim OgridCodeLot As String
                        Dim OgridEmplacement As String
                        If oGrid.Columns.Count = 0 Then
                            Exit Sub
                        End If
                        For jj = 0 To oGrid.Columns.Count
                            Try
                                OgridCodeItem = oGrid.DataTable.GetValue(1, jj)
                                OgridCodeMag = oGrid.DataTable.GetValue(2, jj)
                                OgridCodeLot = oGrid.DataTable.GetValue(3, jj)
                                OgridEmplacement = oGrid.DataTable.GetValue(5, jj)
      ' This field OgridEmplacement is This field keeps the old value only on the last line before
    ' On the other lines, it works well
                            Catch oEx As Exception
                                '                          MessageBox.Show(oEx.Message & " jj = " & CStr(jj))
                                ' Exit Sub
                            End Try
                        Next jj
                    End If
                End If
            End Sub

  • How to remove the last line input into a string indicator??

    I am currently working on a program where the user has the ability to create a profile for one of our lab machines to run.  When the user selects what parameters they would like, a string indicator shows the user the last input they set followed by a comma.  For example, if the user selects which profile they want, and the times they would like to set, the following string would be displayed:
    As you can see in the picture above, the profile is updated in the string indicator after every set button is hit.  In the event the user makes a mistake, I want them to have the ability to delete the last line that was added.
    This is the code I developed so far.  The string coming in and leaving is attached to a shift register so it continues to append to the indicator.  I tried in this case to count how many lines have been written in the string so far, and I built an array with the current string.  Using the delete from array.VI I indexed it to the number of lines that was created so that the last line is deleted.  I unfortunately had no luck.  Any suggestions?

    Hey Tbob,
    That almost worked.  The only issue though is it leaves a null string in its place without moving everything after up one line.  Also, if i have a parameter repeating multiple times, it doenst seem to work.
    I'm confused.  If you are deleting the last line, how can there be anything after?  What do you mean by a parameter repeating multiple times?
    If you look at my example front panel, you will see that the last line is deleted.  Isn't this what you asked for?
    It's due to the fact that your constant doesn't have a comma in the last line. If you add that in, you should be able to reproduce his problem. This is just a guess though, I didn't actually test it to see.
